Both the tour and our guide, Francesco, were terrific! We saw so much of the city on pedal bikes in a short time. It is a perfect introduction to Torino. Easy riding bike tour of historical sites in Turin! Julia took us on a wonderful journey through central Turin, stopping at the sites to give a very knowledgeable historical summary of each location. A stop midpoint for refreshment (not included, buy your own items) and toilette was a plus.

Itinerary

Make your own way to meet your guide at the designated point in central Turin.

Begin with a safety briefing and introduction, then start exploring on your bike in Porta Nuova. Ride by commanding 19th-century squares and buildings where Italy's royal kingdom originated. See elegant cafes and traditional shops from the Belle Epoque, and the Royal Palace of Turin, before entering the oldest part of the city, which contains the medieval quarter and Roman ruins.

Pedal along the Po River, a major river in Italy, and roll into Valentino park, where the Royal family once spent their summers. You'll also stop by landmark buildings including Mole Antonelliana (home to the Museo Nazionale del Cinema), the Neoclassic-style church Gran Madre di Dio, and the Egyptian Museum.

Your tour ends after 3.5 hours with return to your starting point.

Informative tour and great value.

Excellent tour. Learned a lot about Turin and Italy history. Visited and learned details about monuments and buildings and historical personalities which only an experienced Turin native would know. He was a good communicator and speaks very good English. There were seven of us and he always checked to ensure the group was always together. Single speed bikes were no problem for any of us on this flat (and occasional very slight inclines) route. Quite a few cobblestone & stone paths. Highly recommended.

Detailed and comprehensive tour

A fantastic detailed guide through the streets of Turin, taking in the history of the city as well as its numerous sights. Highlights included a ride along the river Po, a look inside the city’s finest cathedral and a breakdown of the city’s history through its numerous squares, statues and buildings.

Bikethecity is a super way to get round Turin. Turin is a cycle friendly city and Francesco, our guide, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He constantly checked on everyone and went out of his way to answer every question. They cycling is quite leisurely and gives plenty of time to see everything. I highly recommend it.
