“In English” not so much.

Though the description says the tour is in English, it is not. The boat ride started with tour director speaking for 10 minutes in Italian about the geography and history, then in English said welcome, Lipari is our first stop because Stromboli is erupting, the bathrooms and bar are on the bottom level. Literally that was all the information we received in English. One of my children threw up (in the bathroom!) from seasickness, and a skipper was very kind and showed us the best place to sit and helped us by spraying water on us etc, but the boat had no seasickness remedies - the bar didn’t even have gingerale. The towns of Lipari and Vulcano were very interesting, but extremely hot and there is no where to get shade in Vulcano.

Tour just for Italian travellers

The islands that we visited are beautiful. Interesting to see these wonders of nature. However, it was supposed to be an excursion with a guide. And our Italian co-travellers were able to enjoy this experience. Ninety percent of the time the guides were speaking in Italian, though it was supposed to be a bilingual tour. Even very scarce explanations in English were difficult to understand due to the poor command of English of the guides. So, beautiful scenery with little knowledge acquired.

A must do adventure.

Er was beloofd dat er uitleg in het Engels zou gegeven worden. De dame die de uitleg gaf sprak Italiaans en bijzonder snel waardoor je als buitenlander die een beetje Italiaans kan haar amper kon volgen. Er werd heel beperkt uitleg gegeven in het Engels. Misschien maar 5% van alles wat verteld werd in het Italiaans maar dit Engels was amper verstaanbaar. Beter een gids meenemen die het Engels machtig is. En beter ook vermelden dat ondanks de felle zon het door de hevige wind op de boot echt wel koud wordt en je een trui moet meenemen want tijdens het varen hadden wij echt koud. Deze uitstap heeft echt geen meerwaarde geboden aan onze reis. Jammer want ik had er zoveel meer van verwacht.
