Kvaløya, one of the many islands near Tromsø, offers unbridled nature just outside the city. On this tour, you’ll head deep into Norway’s Arctic expanse, traveling along the arms of fjords, up mountains, to sparkling lakes, and into traditional Norwegian villages. This was a perfect way to see a number of fjords and the stunning island of Sommarøy. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and patient - and the lunch and snacks were delicious ! Highly recommend for those who want to get out and about without having to rent a car. Well worth the money and was so beautiful to see in the snow.

Excellent Trip with an Outstanding Guide

Excellent tour; really gives an insight into the landscape and history of Tromso and the surrounding area. Our guide, Philip was outstanding. I have never been on any excursion where the guide made such a difference. His knowledge, friendliness and understanding of the environment meant that we all got as much as possible from the trip. Philip tracked the weather and adapted our schedule accordingly so that we always had the best possible change of seeing everything. He knew of different options everywhere and always seemed to have a plan B in case the weather or other tourists caught us out As well as the stunning fjords and mountains we also got to see white tailed eagles, seals and the site of the sinking of the Tirpitz - so something for everyone. All rounded off with hot soup, hot chocolate and cookies on the beach. Superb!

Booked this tour last minute after Get Your Guide provider cancelled a very similar tour last minute due to “bad weather and unsafe conditions” Our tour provider Fram Tours and our guide Phillip were outstanding. Ended up being a private tour as we were the only two signed up but the group tour went as scheduled. The sightseeing was outstanding and we made numerous photo stops both scheduled and spontaneous. Tour included a beach picnic lunch with great views. I never expected white sand beaches in Norway.

A truly memorable day exploring the fjords and Sommarøy. The area is stunningly beautiful, and with fresh snow falling on the day, it looked even more magical, like something out of a fairy tale. Our guide, Philip, was amazing and incredibly knowledgeable and made the day really unforgettable. An experience not to be missed when in Tromsø!

Buyer beware of rudeness from staff

Whatever you do don’t get sick at the last minute and make sure you DO NOT message them through Viator because they will not receive the message and then send you a rude response back via text. Their booking confirmation does not have a phone number included - go to their main page on Viator and use their phone number. I made the mistake of attempting to message them through Viator the night before to tell them we would not likely make it because my daughter was sick. Was met the next morning with a very rude text telling me how surprised they were I could not find the phone number and making clear I would not be getting my money back. Yes, I read the cancellation policy - only wanted to see if I could get any back under the circumstances. It was made clear unless my daughter was in the hospital there was no way. Totally fine, but I do not believe the rudeness was required. I am sure it was a lovely tour and wish we had been able to go!

Cancelled Tour - IGNORES messages / emails etc for a refund

My girlfriend and I booked this tour for March 19th. On the 18th, just one day before, we received a text message saying the tour was cancelled and that we could either reschedule for the 20th or get a refund. I replied within five minutes, letting them know that rescheduling wasn’t possible as we already had plans for the 20th and were leaving the next day. I requested a refund—and that’s when they completely stopped responding. I followed up with two SMS messages, three messages on Viator, and one email. No reply at all. I wouldn’t recommend booking with this company unless you’re okay with the risk of losing your money. Terrible customer service

Despite very snowy weather, which was an experience in itself, we had a great trip. Martina our guide was very knowledgable sharing information not just about what we were seeing but about life living in Norway in general. Soup was tasty. Our lovely Polish lady driver( sorry forget her name) did a fantastic job in challenging driving conditions and was chatty and friendly. Would recommend this trip to others.

Wonderful 3.5 hour excursion along the fjords. Great tour guide (forgot his name but he came from the Czech Republic). It has to be nice weather for this tour, which we had thankfully. The lunch was a bit small with only a soup and a cracker :-)......

we saw quite a few fjords in kvaloya and went to sommaroy. we also got the chance to see some reindeers on the way back. it seemed a bit rushed with limited time to take photos at each location, but overall really nice views!

We went on the fjord expedition today and it was brilliant. Our driver, Martha, was an extremely competent driver in icy conditions and the mini bus was warm and comfortable. Our guide,Philippe, was superb. He shared local and geological information in a way that everyone could understand. He was charming, patient, kind and knowledgeable. The lunch provided was delicious. The views at each stop were second to none and the sandy beach was beautiful and intriguing. Seeing reindeer was a special moment. I would urge everyone to try this trip. 10/10.

It’s a simple and quite basic experience. It’s worth doing if you have enough free time and don’t mind spending it driving around in a minibus and enjoying the scenery. However, we encountered an unexpected delay on the way back to the city due to a marathon, as the roads were closed. I’m not sure if this could have been foreseen or avoided, but it did impact the overall experience.

It was great..one should actually do this to get the feel of Norway specially in and around islands around tromso..the guide Lisa was really good.the driver of the car was not that great but overall experience was great. Web had our drinks and cookies near the bathroom which was not good bcz the driver did not take the car to the otherside. Overall we had great fun looking at the beauty of Norway..

Excellent experience

No problem with booking/ checking in for the trip. Staff at FRAMtours office were friendly and explained the plan for the day but were also realistic about the weather and limitations it imposed. Our tour guide Matteo was excellent: knowledgeable, friendly and happy to help. Mini bus was comfortable, driver (don't know his name) was safe and dealt with adverse conditions well Would highly recommend this tour.

The Fjords were beautiful, we got taken to some great places for the best photos. Loved our soup on the white sandy beach and we were lucky to be joined by an inquisitive seal. Saw some reindeer in a couple of different places the driver stopped for us to take photos. The weather was good for us even got a bit of sunshine and a rainbow. Excursion cancelled at last minute with no in person help given at all.

This looks like it would have been a great trip, and we were looking forward to it, but it got cancelled the morning of the excursion. We were in Tromso for one day only as a stop on our cruise itinerary. So, with this tour being cancelled last minute, we were left with nothing planned for the day. The frustrating part was that they cancelled and said they were "working on something else" but did not keep us updated on this. And we didn't have "hours" to sit around and wait on them to come up with something else. Especially if we wanted to find a replacement activity for us for the day. The worst part was that there was no one at the meeting place to tell us any details. The meeting place/store front was closed. So, it felt like they just didn't feel like coming in. (It was a Sunday.) I would have expected someone there (even though it's not their normal hours) to discuss what our options were. I was just very frustrated with how they handled this and did not feel like it was professional in the least. They did not seem to be bothered at all by how this would affect us and our trip. So, be aware that your trip may be cancelled at the last minute and you will be left with NOTHING.

Our tour guide David is very knowledgeable in the area. He made 10 stops of scenic area and everything was so beautiful. He also provided hot soup and snacks. This is the best excursion we had in Norway.
