A must do at least once before you die. Haha
Great experience, obviously, you cannot predict nature, we were lucky to see many auroras, not like other people post , amazing , filling the sky of light or lot of dancing. But enough to appreciate just by looking how amazing they are.
Our guide was nice , funny and tried to explain the phenomena with scientific details.

Our tour(not this one) cancelled in last minute because they expect no northern lights. And i found this in the last minute. They show us very cool scientific data before and they tried, and they worked hard to get us to the lights. And they got it! Very thankful!
Varun_K, Mar 2026
Didn’t see anything. Stayed only in van. No extra efforts made to chase the lights. Van stayed only at one place for entire tour.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
We stayed there because it was the only place with clear skies. Unfurnutally there was absolutely no release of Aurora energy that night. Had we moved to other (cloudy) places, had we missed the Aurora had it happened.

Unforgettable experience. Service was amazing. We booked for Thursday but they offered us to push to Friday at no cost as there was low visibility chance (not all companies do this). Friday was amazing, saw them dancing and took great pictures. Andy our guide was so kind and really knew what he was doing.

True to the title we enjoyed a small group experience with this tour. The vehicle was comfortable and adequately heated. The tour operator and driver were great, we were given a short description of what to expect for the evening and where we might be heading. We saw fantastic northern lights in some very picturesque spots. It was a fun tour.

Review of Recent Tour Experience
We opted for a private minivan at nearly double the price compared to the normal bus, expecting better comfort and service. Unfortunately, it was not worth paying twice the cost. The vehicle provided was small minivan, and the heating system was not working properly, making the journey uncomfortable in cold weather. Because of this, we had to return early; otherwise, we would have liked to spend more time trying to view the Northern Lights.
The provided dress was torn and the shoes were not clean, which was disappointing and affected the overall experience.
On a positive note, the tour guide was polite, the tour house was good, and the photographer did a good job taking pictures.
Although the sky was clear, the Northern Lights viewing was not satisfactory. I understand that this is a natural phenomenon and not fully beyond the control of the tour operators, but overall expectations were not met considering the premium price paid.
The experience does not justify the higher cost of a private minivan. I hope the company will focus on improving vehicle quality, heating facilities, and equipment maintenance to enhance future customer experiences.

Thanks for your feedback! Big buses are cheaper because you share the guide/photographer with another 45 people. On your excursion you had one guide/photographer for only 4 guests. The heating system was of course working just fine and you did not return early, you returned after seeing and taking pictures of a nice Aurora:

You can see in the pictures that the dresses and boots were just fine (of course we do not clean the soles of the shoes). We are one of the few companies that allow guests to wear spikes in our office and cars and yes, sometimes the spikes cut the suits. But we have hundreds of warm suits so if you find a torn one, please let us know and we will give you another suit immediately.

End to end whole experience was professional . I would recommend to only visit with them if you want a good experience. No extra hidden cost . Very friendly team.

We did not see the aurora, That part was acceptable to me.
However, my main issue is with the photos taken in the snow. I requested these photos many times via email. Later, I personally met the manager in downtown and requested the photos again. I was told that the photos had already been sent.
Despite repeatedly explaining that I never received any photos, I received no clear answer, no follow-up, and no effort to resolve the issue.
Taking photos was a key part of the experience I paid for. Failing to deliver them, combined with poor communication and lack of responsibility, is very disappointing and unprofessional.
This experience significantly affected my overall impression, and for that reason, my rating reflects this failure.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
We figured out that Mateusz DID take pictures of you although there were no Auroras, and we sent all the pictures to you already. It took time to realize as you forgot to give us your email adress but now this issue has been solved. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The tea and coffee is served black - no milk, no sugar. There was no place to sit outside at both viewings sites.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
We do have cream for the coffe and tea, the cream has both milk and sugar. Very sorry if the guide forgot to offer. We never sit outside as it is very cold, we focus on taking pictures when outside, if you want to seat, you can always seat inside the nice and warm minivan.

Beautiful experience. We were lucky to see the northern lights so clearly! It was like a dream. And special thanks to Angel our tour guide. He was exceptional.
Laura_W, Dec 2025
After being let down by another company we booked this last minute and were not disappointed! Only 4 of us in the van, and we drove most of the way to Finland to find clear skies and spend a couple of hours taking photos and watching the skies.
Angela_W, Nov 2025
Angel was a fabulous driver and guide, assisted by Nico, traversing the snowy icy roads with care, whilst b keeping track of the weather for breaks in the clouds and aurora activity, meaning we saw the lights against a fjord, then again up a mountain. And the photos he took were wonderful, thank you!
Kiara_A, Nov 2025
Our tour guide was Angel and he was the best! We were able to see the northern lights immediately and we had a wonderful view of the lights dancing. He also went the extra mile to get us to a second location to try for a better view. All the photos were amazing!

This was by far the amazing thing i’ve ever experienced so far. Andis was amazing. Talking to Andis , knowing so much things about tromso was simply fabulous.
He knows what exactly he is doing.
At last everything was worth it. The best birthday ive ever had.
Paolo_C, Sep 2025
But you still decide to go through with it. After all they are all the same offerings when it comes to this activity. You're herded into a van. You drive for hours, and hours. You're dropped off in a field with other vans. It is then revealed to you that you cannot see it with your naked eyes, you need to look through your phone screen.
You see some green.
You wait in line for your photo.
You wait on the field for everyone else's photo.
80% of the photos are covered by clouds. You're told you're just unlucky. Maybe you are.
You spend hours and hours driving back.
You wonder if it was worth it. Deep inside you know it wasn't. But maybe you got that IG pic. You hope the reactions on IG make the night somehow feel worth it. You know it won't.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Dear Paolo, there are Auroras which can be seen with the naked eye, we are sorry that that night the Aurora was weak.
STEVEN_A, Mar 2025
It is possible that the Northern Lights will not be as brilliant as you see in photographs. Green Gold of Norway put forth a great effort to allow us to view the Lights near the Swedish border in Finland.
Matthew_S, Mar 2025
This was an absolutely fantastic tour made better by the guide Mat. He was knowledgeable, safe driver and it was made better by getting to see “dancing” northern lights.
Garland_B, Mar 2025
Full explanation of what to expect before heading out on our chase of the northern lights. Very professional. Saw the northern lights. Pulled off into a dark area…put on our thermal boots and thermal coveralls that were provided. The driver took some great pictures of participants and of the lights and emailed them to us the next day. Wonderful experience and would highly recommend them.
Pablo_G, Mar 2025
Alex was an incredible guide. He got us together before the tour to let us know what the plan would be (and to manage expectations), then followed that plan exactly. We stopped at the first sign of Northern Lights and saw then faintly, but then we kept driving and found a site with an incredible vantage point of a dancing aurora. I definitely recommend this tour!
Marcus_S, Mar 2025
The guides were very friendly as they started us out in their office explaining the science for the conditions to see the Northern Lights and managed expectations of if we could see them and how strong they would be. They provided wind/snow suits, boots, and tripods and drove around to find dark areas to gaze into the sky. Our night was supposed to have only one moment of activity (low intensity but lasted around 30 minutes) so they drove us to a frozen lake afterwards. We were fortunate to get another moment of activity that was even unexpected by the guides, so we had a nice moment watching the lights dance over the frozen lakes against the mountains. The tour group also sent out their professional photos the very next day and they were great!
Giancarlo_M, Mar 2025
My daughter and I had a fantastic experience when we got to see the Northern Lights dancing right above us!
We got lucky but the guides really do their best to give you the experience you are looking for. Alex was great!

We booked this from a lot on research online and it couldn't have been better! We had Aron as our minibus guide and he made sure that we chased the lights. We only had to drive a short way out of Tromso before he started to notice then and then pulled up aside a beach that we settled onto. The first beach was quite steep and he could see that we were a little hesitant to descend down icy trails in the dark so he found us another spot 5 minutes away where we could enjoy the spectacle that was the Northern Lights. He was really passionate and enthusiastic about the lights and it showed and he made sure that we would not miss out. The photos are absolutely fantastic! Thank you Aron and the team for making our experience super enjoyable and ensuring we saw as much as we could before the clouds came upon us.
Elizabeth_H, Feb 2025
Amazing experience. Stunning northern lights seen on our first stop. Friendly, knowledgeable guides. Nice to be in a small group. Would highly recommend!
Erica_O, Feb 2025
We went to see the northern Lights on 2/18/2025. Our driver was Aaron. His dedication to finding the best possible spot for the northern lights was truly unmatched. His passion and determination to help us witness the lights were evident, and it made all the difference. If you’re adventurous, I highly recommend requesting Aaron as your driver and guide for the northern lights tour—he was absolutely amazing! He will go the distance to ensure we have an amazing viewing and the best possible pictures. Thank you, Aaron, for making this such a memorable experience! We were traveling with a group of 11 and split up. Understandably because the bus fits 9. Unfortunately one friend was by himself. Nevertheless, Aaron was constantly in contact with the other driver and he made it a priority to ensure we would all meet up together so we can experience the lights together.
Erica_O, Feb 2025
I want to firstly give a shout out to our driver Aaron. He is the reason I would rate this excursion a 5/5! His dedication to help us find the best possible location for the lights was unmatched and made this excursion one of the top 3 things we did in Oslo. He was very passionate and I can see that he really was determined to help us find the lights. If you are adventurous, I would 100% recommend requesting Aaron to be your driver and guide for the northern lights tour!!! You were amazing Aaron and we are so thankful you were our guide!
The only criticism I have is for the organization of the tour. I had a group of 11 friends and I requested a van of 5 and van of 6. The tour operator said yes, they can comply with my request. Once we got through the briefing, they split us into a group of 8 pax, 2pax and 1. I’m really disappointed they split one friend by himself. Nevertheless, because of the resilience of our driver Aaron, we were able to meet up with our friend who was alone so we were able to experience the northern lights altogether.
Elizabeth_F, Feb 2025
It was an amazing experience! We knew going into it that there is no guarantee to see the Northern Lights so we tried to keep our expectations low. But we were not disappointed! Aurora gave us a spectacular show. Our driver, Jan was very knowledgeable, a very good driver and took excellent photos for us.
sophie_r, Feb 2025
This was a one a lifetime experience! Jan, our guide, was very committed to chase the best auroras for the group. He was patient and so were the other members of the group, who were also very friendly. We were lucky enough to see an incredible aurora on our way back, which we could enjoy for more than 30-40mn without ever feeling we had to rush back because of the time.
joshua_O, Feb 2025
Expect a thorough explanation of the northern lights. And a team dedicated to making your experience memorable. They are upfront about managing expectations, however they go out of there way to make sure you are satisfied. Out guide Aron was fantastic on the chase for the star. I would recommend this team.
Junta_T, Feb 2025
Aaron explained everything to us in easy-to-understand English. Thanks to his predictions and accurate judgment, we were able to see the Northern lights. We are very grateful. It was an unforgettable day.
Stefanie_K, Feb 2025
Alex was a great guide. He avoided bringing us to the crowsed places where people make bonfires - which is awful, considering you need your eyes adapt to the dark for the lights. We got beautiful pictures and went to 3 different spots. We got Muffins and coffee and tea. Fun and magical experience! Highly recommend these guys.
