The private, Experience Trieste 2.5 hour walking tour was the perfect introduction to this Italian port city. As a cruise port gateway to Venice, Trieste may not get all the attention it deserves, but—trust us—it’s well worth spending some time there. Our personable local guide, Lubos, possessed all of the attributes deserving of a five-star rating: punctuality, knowledgeable, flexibility, and friendliness. We also greatly appreciated his pre-tour communications via WhatsApp, which gave us the confidence that all was in order. Everything promised in the tour description was delivered in a timely manner, at a leisurely pace, and by the knowledgeable and winsome, Lubos. The tour focused on Old Town Trieste, including its history, architecture, and cultural landmarks. The tour was the perfect springboard for our port of call there.

Lubos was an exceptional guide in Trieste.He met us at our hotel and we had a very interesting walk trough the city.He told us about history and culture of Trieste.Invited for coffee and gave tips how to order it in Italy.We really appreciated it as we are a coffee lovers.He also provided an additional info about the city in the brochures we got by the end of our tour.Highly recommended Lubos and his tour.

Lubos was fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and charismatic. The tour included all of the important sights of downtown Trieste and history from ancient times to today, all of which he is an expert on. He also showed us how locals in Trieste take their coffee, explained the city’s food culture, and gave us lots of recommendations and even a packet with information about sights, local history, and maps. We couldn’t give a higher recommendation.

Lubos was an excellent guide he met us write outside the gate at the appointed time. He explain the history of the region and answered our questions. His voice projected well. We had an excellent walking tour with Lubos, who is exceptionally knowledgeable and immediately was able to tailor the tour to our interests- and delight. I mentioned a love of coffee and we went to two coffee shops that were a trip highlight for me. My husband has a scholar’s knowledge of European history and politics and Lubos was able to engage with him on a scholarly level that added even more context to what he had read in several books on Trieste before we went on the walk. Lubos was great and we highly recommend him!

We had such a great time with Lubos, we had a thorough and interesting tour of Trieste, we felt that we saw all the major sites, and Lubos’s knowledge was amazing. He was well prepared and provided both written information and leaflets . The tour was a mixture is of history, culture, language, and hospitality this tour covered everything . Trieste is fascinating with history from the Romans through to the Austrians and then the 20th century. I would thoroughly recommend this as a place to visit, and also this is a great orientation tour.

What a tour! Lubos was one of the best tour guides I have ever had and I have been through hundreds.
The walking tour through Trieste was so informative. Lubos knew his stuff big time , the history plus the contemporary happenings.
I was so impressed by his preparedness for leading a tour. We went down narrow alleyways you, on your own, would never find.
And something I have never experienced before, at the end of the tour, Lubos presented us with his custom made tourist information packet so we could further explore.

Purtroppo, se non si prova questa escursione, non si può capire quanto brava, preparata e con elevata capacità di intrattenimento sia la guida. Due ore e mezza circa di cammino per Trieste, durante le quali ha saputo mantenere vivissima l'attenzione attraverso non solo la narrazione della storia cittadina, ma la descrizione dei palazzi, monumenti, della vita quotidiana e degli aneddoti locali
Una particolare attenzione ha mostrato verso i bambini piccoli che partecipavano alla camminata, consegnando loro anche a fine escursione un libricino e del materiale informativo a noi. La preparazione, il garbo ed il sorriso, insieme all'attenzione di un ottimo caffè offerto, hanno reso davvero indimenticabile questa giornata.

Wir hatten die Tour zu zweit bei Lubos Dzuro gebucht. Es waren sehr informative und abwechslungsreiche Stunden. Auf unsere Wünsche ( fotografieren) oder Fragen ist Herr Dzuro immer sehr freundlich und kompetent eingegangen. Es war eine tolle Tour, von allem etwas dabei: ältere und neuere Geschichte, Architektur, Kirchen und Plätze, Kaffeehaus Besuch, Infos zur Küche und Sprache, Restaurants ..,
Zum Abschluss haben wir noch eine Mappe mit verschiedenen Informationen bekommen.
Einfach super.
Wir waren vormittags unterwegs und konnten uns am Nachmittag und Abend nochmals die Stellen anschauen, die uns besonders gut gefallen haben.
