Walking Tour with a Local was a surprise to how diverse Toronto districts are. Our Locafyer Chris was amazing showing us the lifestyle of Torontonians. LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION

After reaching out to our guide that we were running late and on our way, he texted back to informed us he was not feeling well and needed to cancel. Would have been nice to have been contacted sooner than 15 minutes before our tour started. Additionally, our guide had a thick accent when we spoke to him about things we wanted to see the day before the tour. We were a little concerned that we would not be able to understand him. Overall we were relieved the excursion was canceled by the tour company.

As for the Lokafyer not being a native, We screen applicants extensively but do not require them to be natives of the city. Generally speaking, we find our international Lokafyers have a special connection to their cities as they have chosen to call them home. As they are not professional tour guides, we do not require Lokafyers to have a detailed knowledge of the city’s history.
