This tour was my favorite activity on a recent brief visit to Toronto. Tour guide Paris was personable, knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting facts about food and history; his love of the subject matter was apparent. The food was delicious and filling. All in all, a great introduction to Canadian cuisine and to the history of Toronto. Take this tour, you'll be glad you did!

We had a good time with Yulia. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned both about the food culture as well as the history of Toronto. Food was great and so plentiful! Portions were the largest of any food tour we've ever done and we've done quite a few food tours.

Excellent experience! Our guide, Paris, was very personable and knowledgeable! It was interesting to learn the history of the neighborhoods, the market itself, and all the menu items. Delicious assortment of Canadian food classics. Paris made the tour fun and entertaining! Fair amount of walking (as advertised) but it was broken up into manageable segments. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes and you’ll have a great time!

We absolutely loved the Toronto walking food tour that included St. Lawrence Market and the Distillery District—it was one of the highlights of our trip. Paris, our tour guide, delivered the perfect mix of history, culture, and incredible food. St. Lawrence Market was a foodie’s dream, and Paris did an amazing job explaining the stories behind the vendors while giving us plenty of time to enjoy iconic local bites.
The walk to the Distillery District was equally enjoyable, with fascinating insights into Toronto’s past and architecture along the way. Our guide Paris was amazing (the word used by our 12 year old!) He was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the tour moving at a great pace. The food stops were also delicious. Our 18 year old twins and our younger son (12) ate everything. From the Paddington sandwich to pasta at the St. Lawrence Market to butter tarts and poutine in the Distillery District- and a few other treats in between. You won’t go hungry during this experience. You’ll also learn some Toronto history along the way. Our family would highly recommend the Secret Toronto Food Tour! Thank you Paris for a wonderful experience!

Lovely tour! I’m from Toronto and still found the historical stories were things I didn’t know about my city. Really good bites and tour guide, Ariel, was fantastic. Only food I didn’t think was good was the poutine which was disappointing - it was maybe 5/10 and there are way better vendors that have this dish between both areas.

We didn't know what to expect but were looking forward to lunch and seeing some Toronto neighborhoods we may have otherwise missed. The tour exceeded our expectations, due in large part to Jo, our knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. We loved the history, sights and bites, many of which were quite substantial. It was a fun afternoon. I'd definitely recommend this tour, and based on this experience, I'll investigate food tours in other cities when we travel.

The site seeing was limited to St Lawrence Market because of two broken pipes at the other market. The samples of food was tasty and helped us decide what we return to purchase. The poutine was the best we ever had. Props to Paris who is extremely knowledgeable about the Toronto area.
