Yolanda was the best tour guide. We loved her extreme knowledge of Toledo and everyone in town seems to know her as she waved to everyone. We felt very welcomed and safe and would highly recommend her. I’ve referred her to other friends visiting as well.

Our guide Carlos was extraordinary! Not only was he professional, friendly and funny, but his knowledge of Toledo, Spanish history and general European/world history was above and beyond of typical guides. His 40 years of guide experience is shown though all of of his explanations and we greatly appreciated his vast knowledge of Toledo and Spanish culture. Not too much walking and no time for lunch, but a wonderful tour of a historic city with a mind boggling cathedral. Our guide Enrique, a local with family roots back 400 years was worth the cost of admission.

A quaint gem, Toledo is fascinating to explore. We can’t imagine anyone guiding us better than Enrique, whose family has lived there for many generations. His passion and knowledge of his hometown combined with his love of history made his tour an enchanting exploration of this must see city. An easy 30-min train ride from Madrid, we highly recommend spending a day in Toledo… and definitely ask for Enrique to be your guide!
Wear sneakers or walking shoes. Many hills and cobblestone streets. And don’t miss the outstanding cathedral!

My father and I visited Madrid for work and on Sunday which was a free day booked this excursion to Toledo. It was definitely the highlight of our stay! Rosa, our guide tour, was exceptional and a true delight! Roberto, our driver, was kind and attentive! This was a wonderful way to experience Toledo and learn about the history of the city from a local guide. We were picked up and dropped off easily at our hotel in Madrid. Ana began the tour by stopping at various sites outside the city walls to explain the history of Toledo and show us beautiful views of the city. We then were able to see the major attractions in Toledo, and Ana provided helpful insight throughout the tour. We opted for the 3 hour private tour and 3 hours of free time, which allowed us to gain knowledge about the city from Ana and explore some on our own. Ana gave helpful recommendations about where to eat for lunch and which shops had the most authentic souvenirs. Would absolutely recommend this tour as a great way to experience Toledo in a day!

Toledo is amazingly stunning. The sites and historical significance of this place was made more beautiful through the expertise and guidance of our tour guide, Yolanda Navarro. She was simply amazing. Born and raised in Toledo, she gave us, a family of 8, ranging from 11 to 78 years old the perspective of one who understands Toledo and can give its visitors the necessary guidance of a local. Tours are only as good as the tour guide(s) who present them. Yolanda was simply the best. Highly recommended tour.

Toledo is a fascinating city with so much history and very much worth a visit. But what made this experience so worthwhile was our time with Enrique. He is SO knowledgeable about Toledo history (he is an historian/archivist by training), but explains it all clearly and in interesting, bite-sized chunks that are easy to understand. The best part is that he’s from Toledo, so we got to see the house he grew up in, the Cathedral was his home church so we got to see where he sang in the choir, etc. And it seems like he knows everyone in town! That made the morning so special—it wasn’t just some random tour, but instead a very personalized experience with lots of fascinating details that ended up being our favorite experience on our whole trip. Definitely worth it!

Great day trip to Toledo (35 mins by train). Fernando met us at the station and was a great guide, informative and entertaining. Started with a short taxi ride around the exterior of the city to get a great perspective of the town then visited the main historic sites inside (taxi was an extra $22 paid to the driver). We did the walking tour first which remained outside most sites then took the afternoon to return to the ones we wanted to visit. Cathedral is a MUST see. The largest and most ornate we saw while in Spain.

Our private tour of Toledo with Chavi Martin was simply fantastic. It was a 3-hour tour with two kids (ages 7 and 14), and Chavi made it enjoyable for the entire family. His ability to engage both children was remarkable, as he effortlessly connected with our 7-year-old while keeping our teen intrigued.
Chavi began with the streets less traveled, sharing fascinating details that gave us a deeper appreciation of Toledo’s history and charm. He then guided us through the more touristy and bustling areas. To top it off, he even dropped us off at the taxi stand and kindly communicated with the taxi driver—small gestures like this truly made it an above-and-beyond experience.

This was a fantastic tour with a wealth of information and included a stop at the local bakery to taste sweets. The bakery stop wasn’t a sales pitch but just a nice chance to sit and taste the local marzipan items. We really enjoyed not only the cultural and historical information about Toledo, but also the personal information our guide shared about growing up in Toledo. (We are writing this two months after our tour and have forgotten our guide’s name but she has dark curly hair and has twins. Sorry about not remembering her name.)
It was really great having our guide explain the various scenes and important elements of the cathedral. I don’t think we would have appreciated it as much without her showing us the highlights and sharing the stories behind everything.
We would recommend this tour with our guide. It was well-paced and we learned a lot about Toledo.
