Jiufen Old Street: A fun maze for the adventurous, but a stair workout for others. Not a fan of stairs? No worries—we’ve got plenty of other great tours without the climb!

Starting January 1, 2025, Jiufen will enforce holiday traffic controls (8 AM–8 PM). Tour buses and private cars must park in designated lots, with visitors taking shuttle buses to Jiufen Old Street.

Our driver and guide Wilson is very knowledgeable to places we go which made every stop meaningful and enjoyable. He helped us pace at a very comfortable pace to cover promised places. He kept his vehicle clean and comfortable for our ride. I would recommend this tour.

Jam-packed adventure with great company.

Berry Tsai was our tour guide (ENG) and was an amazing guide! He was incredibly accommodating in terms of communication, service and answering questions. The tour was quick jam packed so it moves quickly, but he made sure to remind us of the itinerary and how long it would take to travel and how long we could stay in the area. He provided history, culture and information of the country and each location/tour, which was rich and beautiful! He even provided food for us to try in Jiufen, an upgrade for our sky lantern to have 4 colors instead of two, took our photos, and even dropped us off at Yong Kang Beef Noodle near our hotel after the tour was over and he recommended us really great spots! Overall, he was an amazing person, it was so nice to get to know him and have conversations. He was so helpful in providing translations but also helping us learn phrases and words in Mandarin to help converse with the locals. We were able to get to everything with great timing and he was so helpful in providing water/space for us in the car. I highly recommend the tour and the tour guides, it was great to see the beautiful nature in the country of Taiwan and experience the wonder that is each location. Thank you once again Berry! We wish we could provided a gift from the U.S. or something to show our love and care for a wonderful experience in the same way you showed us.

Golden triangle circle pingxi sky lantern /shifun waterfalls

Don't schedule your trip during chinese New Year's week especially the last lunar day. They close the road during lantern festival and there's limited route to take, to experience the sky lantern and shifun waterfalls. I think Viator and local tour company should not even schedule to do the golden circle during that event. We were disappointed not able to experience the sky lantern and see the shifun waterfalls. Our driver Benson was awesome though. He tried to find ways to get us up there but every route is closed🥴. The yuliu geopark and the golden waterfalls were beautiful.

An extremely well organised tour with a professional and friendly guide. The Geo Park is easily accessible with walkways to some of the main attractions. Our guide, Barry, was very helpful in helping me navigate the different sites and for the second part of the tour, he had booked an excellent table at a restaurant overlooking the sea. The fresh crab and prawns were to die for. Barry was professional, knowledgeable and friendly.
