A brilliant family day out!!

Lucy_S, Mar 2026
Brilliant zoo! So much to see and can definitely make a full day of it here! The nocturnal animals and booking the koala experience were our favourites! Lots of lovely shade as you walk around, we went on a Sunday and it wasn’t too busy, other than the food hall which was both busy and very warm.

Great day out, best views of Sydney harbour

Well worth the visit.

Jack_H, Mar 2026
Great experience with good talks for different animals throughout the day which gave a good insight. Buses pick you up from the ferry so saves you walking up the hill.

Nice day out!

Natalie_S, Feb 2026
Great zoo, very well maintained and stunning views of the city. Had a great amount of native species which was fun to see!

Dreadful experience

Moira_B, Jan 2026
Zoo very poor run down. All the animals asleep. All eating place's closed. Why take booking at 2pm when all closed at 3pm. Deceitful. What a waste of money and time. Never again 🤢

Very scenic and affordable way to see a zoo! Plenty of wildlife and exhibits and interaction opportunities

Yvonne_F, Jan 2026
Needs more signage so people are not walking in circles. Plus a lot of the animals weren't out. Didn't see much of what I came to see.

Outing.

Dave_A, Jan 2026
Overall fun experience. Lots to see and do. Remembering that your dealing with wildlife there's no guarantee you'll see everything.

Amazing experience!!...

Alan_V, Jan 2026
Amazing experience!! Animals were so close and easy to view. Quite amazing!! Giraffes, Tigers, Koalas and Kangaroos were our favorites!!

Don't trust Viator

Armin_T, Jan 2026
Do not trust Viator. Their QR code did not work at the zoo and even with proof from zoo, they did not refund anything and blamed the zoo.

Family time!

Phyllis_S, Jan 2026
The zoo was nice being able to experience the animal up close. Only minor issues is if you have elders its hills to walk but the had chairs available if you get there early

New Yorkers in Taronga

Gregory_B, Dec 2025
Bring hats and water bottles especially on hot days. There’s not a lot of shade in certain parts of the zoo and the Australian sun is unforgiving.

Taronga Zoo

We're visitingAustralia from America and knew that we had to go to the zoo. We were not disappointed at all!!

Fun zoo excursion

Jim_K, Dec 2025
Visiting the Taronga Zoo was a fun experience. The exhibits were all well maintained and it is amazing how the zoo follows the natural topography of the hillside. We enjoyed seeing the animals and listening to the zookeepers presentations.

Great zoo

Jennifer_M, Nov 2025
The views over Sydney from all over tbe zoo are amazing. The habitats for the animals are large and well maintai ed just be aware that Viator is in USD not AUS even in Aus. This was misleading and had we known, we would have booked directly with Tarongo Zoo

Victoria_R, Nov 2025
Best time the weather was perfect and we got to see all the animals. Definitely need togo check this out.

Don’t waste your money.

Mark_C, Nov 2025
Don’t waste your money. A lot of empty exhibits. Not worth your time or money or energy. I wish it was a better experience.

Beautiful Taronga Zoo!

vanessa_k, Nov 2025
The zoo is incredible - animals are well taken care of and facilities beautiful. The bird show is exceptional! Vanessa and Estelle, South Africa.

Taronga Zoo

Leonard_M, Nov 2025
The Taronga Zoo was amazing! We even got a close-up encounter with the koalas, which was unforgettable. One of the coolest things was being able to walk through some of the enclosures and feel really close to the animals. Highly recommend it if you want a fun, interactive day with incredible wildlife!

Lovely zoo

Pauliina_M, Nov 2025
We had a lovely day to zoo. We went to the zoo by the James Cook ferry. Everyting went nice, we got tickets at the harbour.

Easy to get to via hop on hop off ferry. Great animal access. Nice staff. Seal show was well done. Fun time

Why on earth should I buy expansive Zoo tickets from you?

Taisheng_Y, Oct 2025
Why on earth should I buy expensive Zoo tickets from you? You did not provide any service at the zoo and charged me 30 dollars more than the zoo ticket box. It took a great effort to convert your tickets to zoo tickets.

A total washout , still a good way to spend a morning when at it's most quiet.

Jay_B, Aug 2025
A very soggy time moving around the zoo today. Despite this crowds were very low only. Animals mostly hiding in warm spots. A few parts were closed off for maintenance. Despite that all a lovely way to spend a morning investigating wild life and animals from around the world. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful views of the Sydney Opera House from the Taronga Zoo

Eva_Y, Aug 2025
Getting there was super easy. We took the light rail from our hotel to Circular Quay and took the ferry over. There were multiple free buses that take you to the zoo. We took the bus back, it took longer but was easiest after a long day. We brought lunch to eat and many people did the same. Loved the zoo but many of the animals were not active and sleeping. Be ready to walk a lot.

It was wet and cold. I forgot my phone which had tickets for the zoo on it. With the help of Viator and the zoo we got everything straightened out.

The zoo experience was amazing. So many animals to see. As first time visitors to Australia, we wanted to see the Australian animals and this zoo did not disappoint.
