Our guide, Alex was very knowledgeable about the island and its history. The stops were great and his stories about the development and rebuilding of the island were insightful. I would recommend this tour as a great introduction to your stay on Sint Maarten.

Amazing! The best value in Sint Maarten. Book it NOW.
Although I booked a group tour, the company is so professional and reliable that although I was the only guest on the day of my cruise, Red Rose Tours did not cancel my excursion. I spent the day in a comfortable & clean car with a safe and courteous driver, Claudia. Claudia showed me the Dutch & French sides as if I was a close family member by or her best friend. Honesty, I was sad to say goodbye when Claudia dropped me off after an amazingly wonderful, relaxed and educational four hours of island exploration. That said, had we been a small group (instead of having Claudia all to myself) I would have enjoyed it immensely as well. Claudia knows her island and is genuinely overjoyed to be able to share her love for Sint Maarten with guests.
It’s the PERFECT excursion for cruise passengers Red Rose Tours’ excursions begin & end at the cruise port. Instructions on meeting point need to say…when you exit the cruise port, walk all the way left where private tour companies meet their guests. It took be asking multiple persons before finding my tour company. Finding the meeting point is easy; just provide instructions or best yet, had Claudia sent me her WhatsApp live location, I could’ve easily come to her.
If you’re not in a cruise book it anyway and ask to be picked up at your lodging.
I’m attaching a few pics of some of the beautiful sites Claudia showed me.
And At the end, before returning to the ship, she allowed me one hour at Mullet Bay Beach, the Dutch sides’s best beach for a refreshingly ocean dip in pristine Caribbean water.

Very interesting. Be sure and ask questions! Guide was very accommodating and little walking involved as she took us right up to the points of interest and promptly picked us up.

10/10 would recommend! This is one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. It allowed time to stop and visit the beaches and provided lots of history of the island. Our tour guide, Sean, was the best!!!

I was the only one on this tour, and I was concerned that they would cancel it. Not only did they not cancel, but I was treated like a VIP by my tour guide, Simanie Andre! He even added a stop for me so I could get French pastries!!! Simanie was very personal and professional, and I learned so much about Saint Martin/Sint Maarten!!

We did not get the tour that we signed up for. I specifically booked this tour, the "best prime" tour because I wanted to spend some time at the 2 beaches, as indicated in the itinerary. I didn't want to spend all day crammed in a van, stopping at a bunch of places for only a few minutes each, but that's exactly what happened.
Departure: First off, we arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time only to have to wait 45 minutes for other people to arrive. Shawn had a placard with my name and one other, then another for a different tour company with four names on it. He said we were with him and the other four parties were with another tour. After waiting for over 45 minutes, we were joined by 2-3 other parties, none of which was the other name that was supposedly in our group. Ok, I get it. Consolidate. We finally get moving and the tour starts.
Tour: We didn't follow the sequence of stops, as set in the itinerary, but that's not a big deal. However, we made a stop that was not on the itinerary, but was nice, but we stayed too long and had to wait for the family with kids. Then, the "iguana park", which is just a roadside stand and some iguanas in the bushes, but I'm OK with that quick stop, as it fit the plan. Finally, we make it to Orient Bay, but he gives us only 45 minutes. We try to make the most of it and rush back to the van on time, only to have to wait for the family...again. We head to some shops in Marigot, which I did not want to do, was not on the itinerary, and was a total waste of time with all the traffic. The stop at Ft. Louis was nice, and the views are great. On the way to Maho Beach, now, with another stop for a scenic view. At the beach, we get, again, 45 minutes only, followed by more waiting to get everyone on the van. Then, we stop to see some other beach down the way, since it's supposedly so beautiful, but it's not really anything special and was another waste of time and more waiting for everyone to get back on the van. We might've stopped somewhere else, but I just was done with the tour and couldn't wait to get back to the port. We got back to the port with plenty of time to board, which seemed to be a concern for the passengers, and tour guide, although, if it were that much of a concern, they should've showed up on time for the tour to start with.
Tour Guide: Shawn was a great tour guide. He was fun, engaging, and informative, but that couldn't erase the delayed start and unexpected itinerary for me. I told him this was not the tour I was expecting and why, and he apologized and said that he was doing what the boss told him to do.
Now, if all the stops I mentioned are what you want to see and do, then go with one of the less expensive tour companies, which all seem to do the same stops, not this overpriced "best prime" tour, which was no different.

Hi Jarded thank you for the feed back and again i apologize for you not getting time at the beaches but the tour you booked there is set time and the traffic we cant control that. For next time it would be better to book a private tour where you can create your own tour but the tour you book was a shared tour and we cant control the times the ship come in nor the time the people come out due to they don't know the place.

We were very lucky that we had the driver and mini bus to ourselves. Simanie, our driver was excellent and so knowledgeable. He made our tour fascinating and full of information. The ride was very comfortable and he was very courteous.

What a great experience. We were able to see all the highlights from both the Dutch and French sides. Our tour guide made sure to really take his time and allow us to soak all of the stops in. We never felt rushed. For the money we paid, this excursion exceeded our expectations.
My only suggestions would be to add a stop in Grand Case so we can grab lunch. With the excursion being the entire day, it would be nice to have a lunch time built into the day.

The island tour with Red Rose Transportation was everything I had hoped for! Our tour guide Simanie was beyond friendly, enaging, & so informative at every stop. They also provide taxi pick-up + drop-off taxi service which was a saving grace for me on this solo trip (thank you Cathy & Shawn!!). I highly recommend :)

My tour guide Semani was great. He showed me all around the island and answered my questions about life in St. Marteen. When we stopped at a historical site he took my picture. When we visited Ft. Louis he climbed the steps with me. Most guides will let you climb by yourself and meet you at the bottom of the stairs.
When visited Maho Beach I was able to take my time and wasn’t rushed. I was able to see the planes arriving and departing. I highly recommend this tour.

It is as wonderful. We were the only ones on this excursion so it was like having our own private tour. Shampoo, our driver was so cool. If I had to drive those streets, I’d have to shoot myself. But he handled them with ease. We had plenty of time at the beach which was one of my favorite beaches on this trip. It was cloudy that day but still enjoyable. Good job Payne’s Taxi service.

The tour was fun. It was French Carnival. So shopping on the French side was limited-but we got our pastry😀. Dennis didn’t rush us as we made six stops. The views from the old fort were awesome. At Maho Beach we saw two commercial jets land and two take off.

Dennis was such a great guide! Very informative, great tour around the island and alot of interesting information. It was great to see both sides of the island and spend time at Orient Bay Beach. Loved the tour, history information, and seeing the French side of the island. Definitely recommend this tour. It's about 4 hours so you still have time to do other things during the day. You also stop at Maho Beach on the Dutch side, but we were already staying next to that beach so we didn't do that part of the tour but definitely worth the stop at Maho! Cool experience seeing the planes coming in....

This tour exceeded our expectations! Dennis, a native of St. Maarten was an amazing guide. We got to see both the French and Dutch sides of the Island and learn about its history. Lots of stops along the way. Loved Orient Bay Beach, the iguana farm, and the absolute highlight was Maho Beach to see the airplanes. My son was thrilled (so were we) to see the KLM land over our heads! Dennis picked us up just outside the cruise port gates. The van was clean, air conditioned, and cold drinks were provided for us. Again, huge shout out to Dennis. This truly was the highlight of our cruise. 100% select this tour over any that the cruise line might offer. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for everything!

After an unexpected solo trip I booked a last minute tour and so glad I did! Sean/Jean the tour guide was informative, personable, and kind. He took me to all of the mainstays and a few hidden treasures. The tour van was clean and the AC was perfection while hopping in and out for great photo ops of the beautiful ocean views and hilltops and stops between all of the beaches with powdery soft sand. The shops were closed during my tour time but it's ok, I didn't feel like I missed out. I learned so much and the tour was relaxing and perfect for my solo venture. Highly recommend!

Fantastic tour. The guide was local, very knowledgeable and friendly.
We arrived by cruise ship. The meeting point was just outside the main gate of the port, and an agent was waiting for us with a sign with our names. We were a total of 7 people, in a very comfortable and air conditioned 15-people van. The tour included cold refreshments (water, sodas). The guide gave us enough time to explore every stop, answered all of our questions and accommodated all our requests. We visited all the island highlights, spent time at 2 beaches, and after the 5 hour tour we even had some time left to walk to Fredericksburg to explore. Highly recommended!
