This isba creative and unqiue way to explore the city and learn about the culture and heritage of the island. I would recomend this for anyone who is physically capable of roaming the island in a slow jog or a fast walk.

This was our second adventure race and we loved it! Way better than the one on St. Thomas. It was well organized, with really enjoyable challenges and good teambuilding. My husband and I were teamed up with a family of 4 and we all got along very well. It was definitely physical but you don't need to be an athlete to participate.
The end point also made it easy to get back to the ship.
At the finish you are given rum punch (honestly, it's pretty weak) and a small plate of french fries. That was a little underwhelming but the overall experience was excellent. And booking through Viator saves a lot of money over the same exact excursion through the cruise lines.

We had a lot of fun doing the Amazing Race. We got to see part of St. Martin and learn a little history all while engaging in fun challenges and activities. The game was well planned out and the staff were great!! Highly recommend

Great opportunity to learn about St Maarten and Rome the streets. My wife and enjoyed it but had slight limitation, not significant, as other teams had more players. Highly recommend.

Our family ages 9-48 really enjoyed this experience! Before we did it, we were a little unsure and we thought we could either see it being a blast or a total bust - and it was fantastic!! It was our favorite excursion during our time in the Caribbean.
The challenges along the race range from fun physical games (nothing too tough - things both kids and adults can do) and thinking/puzzle challenges. Most incorporate elements of history or geography of the island (which you learn as you go, no need to do homework beforehand unless you want to), so you leave feeling like you learned about the island and got to know it in a limited timeframe - in very fun ways.
And the staff running the show was absolutely phenomenal. The whole race is run in a very organized, easy to understand way. The team excelled in creating a fun atmosphere of friendly competition, had interesting facts about the island to share along with steady humor, and ran the contest in a very fair way while still being able to share a little guidance (without revealing too much) if we really got off track. The snacks and punch at the final checkpoint were the icing on the cake, and you finish at a spot that makes it super easy to enjoy the rest of your day at the beautiful beach if you wish to.
In a nutshell: highly recommend this experience!

This was a great way to see Philipsburg and learn about the area. Our kids loved being able to do challenges like on a similar TV program. The tour/race starts within a 15-20 minute walking distance of the cruise ship port which worked well for us. It took about 2.5 hours and then we had time to go back and explore more. The guides were great and very friendly.

Was a fun time. Met nice people. Learned some facts while playing a game. Plenty of beaches in the Caribbean. This was a welcomed alternative. I do wish we didn't have to RUSH off the ship for a 10am meet-up only to be told we wouldn't begin until 11. Would recommend for families with children 10+.

Thank you very much for your review and feedback. Unfortunately sometimes ship time and local time do not match and mistakes happen. This is something we are trying hard to prevent, and luckily it is a very rare occurrence. I'm so glad you still had a fun tour though.

It was good and the ladies and gentlemen running the tour was phenomenal. I do think they should limit teams to 5 people. We had 8/9 so it was a bit much. But I would recommend it because you get to see more of the area.

Our family of four had an amazing time with this excursion. Not only was the event planned out and fun but we made an error on the day that we were to arrive in Phillipsburg and they still accommodated our family with no problem at all.

Our family of five wife and I with our three kids 13, 10, and 9 enjoy watching the TV show and this race is similar and LOTS OF FUN! It is similar to the real TV race in both the good and bad ways... many fun clue stops, can get lost even with help from the locals and required a nice range of activities. Staff explained things well, and were at various spots along the way to aide and help if lost. We saw many part of the city, and if in port on a cruise ship you will still finish with plenty of time for other activities thereafter. On our race day it was pretty warm, and the staff had water to give before starting, and a drink and snack at the end of the race. Tip - most of the race teams booked through the cruise line, but if you book directly with Tri-Sport or with Viator rates may be better it was for our family. Best excursion on our Easter Caribbean cruise. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED RACE!!!!!!!

This was a lot of fun!! We did it with two other adult couples and found it to be challenging enough for adults without being too difficult for the kids. The crew does a great job of keeping up with everyone and they are always there to help you along the way. PS You may want to brush up on your Caribbean islands.

This tour was a lot of fun! Very well organized and challenging and the staff were very friendly and personable! The only thing is that I believe the point system needs to be tweaked a bit. But hey, it was great fun and winning isn't everything.

We all had a great time on the adventure race walking tour. There was a good mix of challenges and the total time of the race was just about perfect. Although we discovered that we would not make for a great team in The Amazing Race television show, we still had a ton of fun!
