Itinerary
Start your experience at the Port of Sorrento, where your guide will meet you and your small group of fellow travelers. Head through the Tyrrhenian Sea, passing alongside the scenic fishing village of Marina Grande and Bagni Regina Giovanna, an ancient Roman villa. Continue your journey past the Faraglioni, sea stacks that were first documented in Homer's Odyssey before making your way to Capri, where you'll have time to explore independently.
Stop for a swim before heading over to the White Grotta to check out limestone rock formations and the Green Grotta, made of dolomite stone. On your way back to shore, sail past the Punta Carena Lighthouse, the oldest in Italy, finishing your journey off at your departure point.

Our captain, Rafael, our host, Luigi were wonderful crew members who explained everything and made us feel important the entire trip. Very fun trip with a smaller intimate number of passengers which made it comfortable with no stress. They gave us recommendations when we went to Capri and met us promptly when we got back. This is a must book trip when going to Sorrento.

Perfect day from beginning to end. Our tour guide Flavio was amazing. We ended up being a small group of 6, so we were able to get through the line at the Blue Grotto in no time. Flavio was knowledgeable and gave us great tips for our time in Capri. It was a wonderful day.

Sad we did not go to the blue grotto and in fact the captain never said we weren’t going so we were all still expecting that would be next.

We are sorry to hear about your disappointment regarding the Blue Grotto.
We would like to clarify that, as stated in the product description, the stop at the Blue Grotto depends entirely on the waiting times at the entrance. While our tour always passes by the grotto, we cannot guarantee the stop if the queue exceeds one hour. Waiting too long outside the grotto would negatively impact the rest of the experience, reducing the time available for the island tour, the swimming stop and, most importantly, the free time in Capri.
We are also sorry if it felt unclear during the tour.
Our captain always assesses the queue at the grotto and makes the decision that ensures the best overall experience for all guests.
We truly regret that not stopping at the Blue Grotto affected your overall rating, especially since the grotto is just one part of a 7–8 hour experience that includes many activities and beautiful moments.

This day trip was amazing!!! We had the perfect amount of time on Capri and also got the chance to swim and snorkel which was awesome. Unfortunately because of the weather we weren’t able to see the caves but overall the day was still amazing!!

Fantastic tour and amazing experience. Rafaela and Luigi were the best! Plenty of information and recommendations. Blue Grotto was optional and our group all voted to go because we had a shorter wait (~20 minutes). We still made our rounds of Capri with many sites and a stop to disembark.

Highly recommend this as a great way to get out and see the magical Capri - plenty of time to explore on land, as well as a full lap around the island via boat with interesting facts from the captain. The afternoon swim spot and beverages were a highlight and the perfect way to round out the day. We met some truly lovely people, adored Nello and will remember this for a long time!

This was the perfect day trip! A nice boat ride over to Capri (we did not get to do the Blue Grotto because it was too busy that day) but we had a lot of time to explore Capri and grab lunch there! Wonderful

Although this was a pleasant boat trip, it certainly wasn’t worth anywhere near the ~€140 per person we paid. The itinerary included the blue grotto but the boat only pulled up outside it for a few minutes as we arrived late in the day (the weather was fine and other tours were going in). From speaking with the tour guide (Lucio - who was a friendly fellow) it turned out we were never due to go into the blue grotto as we set off from Sorrento too late (8:30am). If this was indeed the case, and we were never due to have the opportunity to go inside, the tour’s listing should have clearly stated this, rather than being marketed as if blue grotto (the most special/unique thing about Capri) would be included. I would suggest that anyone considering booking this tour also considers simply getting a ferry across to Capri for ~€50 return per person.
What the tour included (return trip to Capri on a small boat) along with a few drinks, the tour guide, and some swimming was pleasant (hence the ** rating) but certainly worth nowhere near what we paid.

We offer two types of shared boat tours to the island of Capri:
1. For guests who wish to maximize the chances of visiting the Blue Grotto, we offer the Capri Blue Grotto Small Group Boat Day Tour, specifically designed with an early departure to reduce waiting times and a procedure whereby the visit is skipped only if there is unanimous agreement among all guests on board.
2. By contrast, our Capri Small Group Boat Day Tour, which you booked, is not advertised as including a Blue Grotto visit. Instead, we clearly specify that there will be a Passage to the Blue Grotto with chance to visit it and that any visit depends on the waiting time. In fact, it is an optional stop, subject to the decision of the majority of guests on board. A later departure does not prevent guests on the Capri Classic tour from choosing (by majority vote) whether or not to wait in line to enter the grotto. That said, we do appreciate your feedback, and we will work to further improve our onboard communication standards to avoid this kind of misunderstanding.
Regarding the comparison with the ferry, we believe it is important to highlight that the experience we offer goes far beyond simple transportation to and from Capri. Our tour includes scenic cruising along the coastline with explanations of the main points of interest, swim stops, soft drinks and fresh fruit on board, a dedicated guide, and above all an elegant, comfortable boat with a maximum of 12 guests. These elements make the experience intimate and exclusive, very different from traveling on a ferry with hundreds of passengers.
We understand that each traveler has different expectations and preferences, but the value of our tour lies precisely in the quality of service, attention to guests, and the opportunity to experience Capri from a unique perspective: by sea.

This boat trip disappointed me in many ways and I would not book it again if I had the chance. I would not recommend it. It’s more of an overpriced ferry ride to Capri. It was also advertised as “a small group boat tour,” but 12 of us were packed on the boat. There were 6 up front and 6 squished on the back of the boat. You didn’t have a choice to roam if you didn’t like where you were sitting. I also thought we would have an explanation and learn about what we were seeing…our captain was kind and talked a bit about the stops, but he was very difficult to understand. Most of the time I didn’t know what I was looking at. Also, don’t count on seeing the Blue Grotto if you book this. This tour doesn’t have an intention of stopping there because the lines are always long. We did have a nice swim & were given water bottles. We had a very little bit of Prosecco given to us in a tiny paper cup. Underwhelming experience.

However, we would like to clarify a few points: our group tours are conducted on boats ranging between 33 and 38 feet in length. As specified in the service description, the maximum number of passengers for this type of tour is 12. This choice is intended to ensure comfort and an intimate atmosphere on board, in line with the boat’s size, and offers a far more relaxed alternative to traditional tourist vessels that carry dozens, if not hundreds, of people.
Our fleet mainly consists of elegant, classic “gozzo” boats typical of the Sorrentine tradition. We believe the charm and elegance of these vessels, maintained with great care and always in excellent condition, add value to the overall experience. That said, we understand that their traditional design and spatial layout may not meet the expectations of guests who are more accustomed to modern aesthetics and different types of configurations.
As for the Blue Grotto, please note that it is not a guaranteed stop on the “Capri Classic” tour—it must be agreed upon by all guests. For those who prioritize visiting the Grotto, we offer the “Capri Blue Grotto” tour, specifically designed to increase the chances of entry, depending on sea conditions and wait times.
Finally, we were particularly struck by your dissatisfaction with the clarity and completeness of the information provided by our captain. The ability to communicate in an engaging and understandable manner is, for us, an essential part of the onboard experience. For this reason, we will take your report seriously and evaluate any necessary corrective actions.

This was by far my favorite experience while in Italy. The deckhand was helpful and got us a driver to see Anacapri and Capri. We stopped at the blue and green grottos which were amazing.

Great experience! Our captain Frankie was so good. Our time in Capri was great too. Recommend going up to Anacapri and taking the chair lift while there. Able to see all 3 grottos but unable to go inside Blue Grotto bc of high tide.

An absolutely spectacular day. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip to capri. Despite wind and waves we still had excellent views of the island and the grottos. It was wonderful, even though we couldn’t go into the blue grotto due to high tides.

The captain Sebastian and crew Pasquale were amazing!! The captain did an excellent job driving the boat at a perfect pace for us to take in all the sights of Capri and he was such a gentleman. Could not fault the tour company, skipper or our tour guide Simon. Arriving at Capri complete chaos as sat out in water waiting half hour to disembark, no organisation at shuttles, massive crowds so no time to take chairlift, very little shade to sit - maybe we will return another time of year

Necco was a wonderful captain and gave us an amazing day on and around Capri! We started the day with the boat ride to the island, a short tour by boat around half the island and then were dropped off at marina piccola and free to wanted for just under 4 hours. This was the perfect amount of time to grab some lunch, explore, and ride the chair lift. Our captain gave great recommendations on how to make the most of our time on Capri. He was on time for our pickup and we then went for a swim, had some Peroni’s, and completed the boat tour of the perimeter of the island before heading back to Sorrento. Much better than just visiting Capri by ferry as we got the full experience.

We had mixed feelings about this experience. Our guide was very friendly and welcoming but a few things did not meet our expectations for the trip. I had hoped to attend the blue grotto since it was listed on the description and it noted to bring payment if we were able to stop, but I assumed this was dependent on the weather and the tides. When we drove past the blue grotto early that morning, he made a comment that it was a perfect day and many people were waiting in line to go in, but our boat did not stop. This was very misleading since everyone else on our tour also thought we would be stopping if the weather permitted. We then arrived at Capri and waited to be able to go in and dock for at least an hour. I do not know if this is normal since I read many reviews and never saw mention of this, but by the time we pulled into Capri, most people on board the boat were feeling quite sick from all the waiting and rocking in the hot sun. We stopped for only a short swim on the way home, and the description when I booked said that we would have snorkel gear, but he only supplied some pairs of goggles. We were served soft drinks and alcohol along with a fruit platter on the way home. Overall we were a bit disappointed since there were some experiences missing from the trip, but the views and the time spent on the water were incredible.

If you are looking to do any type of boat tour, these ARE your people!! All the people in this company are kind and go above and beyond to help you! Everything is extremely organized and well planned. On the boat we had an amazing time thanks to the captain and mate. They explained the importance of what was around us, gave us tips for restaurants, and catered the trip to our needs! Truly they are such kind people and they made the experience fun!

The entire excursion was a great experience. Definite highlight to our trip to Amalfi Coast. Would definitely recommend. We enjoyed traveling around the island of Capri. The scenery is beautiful. Unfortunately we couldn’t get into the blue grotto because of ocean conditions. The time on the island of Capri was great as well. Luigi our guide gave excellent suggestions of things to do with our time on the island. We loved the opportunity to swim in the water off the boat. We were so impressed with the captain she did such a great job! Luigi (the younger one) did an amazing job making us comfortable on board and providing information about Capri and the surrounding coast. Would highly recommend this tour.
