Start your experience at the Port of Sorrento, where your guide will meet you and your small group of fellow travelers. Head through the Tyrrhenian Sea, passing alongside the scenic fishing village of Marina Grande and Bagni Regina Giovanna, an ancient Roman villa. Continue your journey past the Faraglioni, sea stacks that were first documented in Homer's Odyssey before making your way to Capri, where you'll have time to explore independently.
Stop for a swim before heading over to the White Grotta to check out limestone rock formations and the Green Grotta, made of dolomite stone. On your way back to shore, sail past the Punta Carena Lighthouse, the oldest in Italy, finishing your journey off at your departure point.

Our captain, Rafael, our host, Luigi were wonderful crew members who explained everything and made us feel important the entire trip. Very fun trip with a smaller intimate number of passengers which made it comfortable with no stress. They gave us recommendations when we went to Capri and met us promptly when we got back. This is a must book trip when going to Sorrento.

Alessandra was a masterful one man show. He expertly captained the ship around Capri, serenaded us in the grottos, gave great tips to make the most of our time in Capri and surprised us with fruit and drinks on the way back.
Great boat trip with loads of fun and great information about the caves etc and really helpful in getting us to the right bus on Capri. Really wonderful day.
What a fun day. The boat was spacious enough for our tour group of 12. The guide (Luciano) and Captain (Luigi) were fantastic throughout the trip and very engaging. The 4 hours of free time on the island was just right but the highlight of the day was the 1hr+ free swim time off the boat (noodles and goggles were available to enhance the swim). Unfortunately, the blue grotto was inaccessible due to surf conditions but we knew that was a possibility when we booked the trip. This was the highlight of my family’s stay in Sorrento.
The tour was enjoyable but I’m not sure it was worth the price. The boat ride was great and we enjoyed the free time in Capri. The staff was polite and helpful but would’ve loved more information about what we were seeing. We only swam for about 15 minutes and did not stop in an area for snorkeling, which was disappointing as this was why we booked the tour. The refreshments were much appreciated. I would recommend if you’re mostly looking for time in Capri, but not for a boat day.
Highly recommend this tour …. and if you get Luigi and Davide you’ve hit the jackpot! Funny, friendly, informative and also provide THE best playlist for the day. Their vibe and music set the scene for the day and we couldn’t have asked for more. The best way to see Capri without the hassle of ferries, crowds and then the most amazing views from the water. Thank you so much Luigi and Davide - best day ever!
We had a wonderful day, our best day on the Amalfi Coast! Our tour guide Flavio was fantastic, he did a great job adapting to our group and made sure everyone made the best out of their visit to Capri, a part of our group wanted to do the Blue Grotto so he took them and the rest wanted to explore Capri and Anacapri. We stopped twice for a swim which was my favorite part.

The Isle of Capri is well worth the trip by boat! So many beautiful grottos and sights to see by boat! Our captain/ host Rafaela was great! Highly recommend taking the chair lift to the top of the island. Island is very busy in summer months.
The experience is five star but the organization at the start is awful. “Sit there, no you can’t sit there, go sit there, you must move if you’re not buying something.” Plus the added charge of 15 Euro each.; just include in the price. But then we met Tessa and Cira (?) and what a great time after that! Four hours on Capri was more than enough time to experience the chair lift at Anacapri which offers spectacular views. I recommend this tour but the beginning needs to be somewhere else.
Really excellent way to see Capri. The landscape was so beautiful all around so it was worth it to be with boat instead of a ferry.
My only issue was the boat operator gave us some inaccurate info before we landed on Capri. He said the furnicular had a 30-40 min wait and was 8 eur a person so we should take the 25 eur blue bus instead. My guess is they have a deal with the bus? Anyway only after we’d paid for the bus we saw the furnicular was 2.50 and had no wait either way. He also said there are no free beaches. Our kids were overheated and were dying to get in the water and we did end up finding a free beach only 4 minute walk from the boat drop-off. My guess is that this is also because they were trying to get people to go on the blue bus instead of following their own plans on the island.
Overall the experience on the boat was great and I would definitely recommend it — just take their advice on what to do with your time in Capri with a grain of salt.
We traveled today with Raphaella to Capri on a small boat tour. She was so friendly and kind and treated us very well! Capri was amazing - especially the chairlift!
It was overall a great experience. The driver and assistant were very nice. The water was a bit rough, but that was out of their control. The blue grotto was closed but that gave us more time to go around and swim!
The captain Rafaella was wonderful. She looked after us from start to finish. The island itself was mesmering from the boat and full of Italian life. we had enough time to do the anacapri swing by taking the blue bus as recommended by Rafaella - very grateful for that tip! The boat itself was very nice and we had fruit and Prosecco on board which was special for my birthday. Would recommend to anyone!
Very disappointing experience and unfortunately not at all what we were promised when we booked this 8-hour Capri boat trip.
Our boat was scheduled to leave at 9:00 AM, but we did not actually depart until later. We were specifically told that we would arrive at Capri first and have approximately four hours to get off the boat, explore the island, shop, and enjoy Capri. The swimming portion of the trip was supposed to happen AFTER our time exploring the island.
When we arrived at Capri, we were stopped by guards and held for approximately 30 minutes while they asked the captain for paperwork. What was especially frustrating was that absolutely no explanation was given to us about what was happening or why we were not being allowed to get off the boat. We were simply left sitting there for 30 minutes with no communication.
Because of this, we were unable to follow the itinerary we had booked. Instead of getting off the boat and exploring Capri first as promised, we were taken around the island and stopped for approximately 30 minutes to swim. Again, we had no problem with the swimming itself — that was part of the trip we booked — but it was supposed to happen AFTER our four hours exploring Capri, not before. This completely disrupted the itinerary and took away from the time we had specifically booked to spend on the island.
We also did not receive the wine or snacks that we expected to be included with the experience.
Another major disappointment was the Blue Grotto. We knew that visiting the Blue Grotto required an additional fee and were completely willing to pay it. However, we were not even given the option to go. The boat company simply would not take us there, meaning we never had the opportunity to pay the additional fee and see it.
Overall, the trip felt very poorly organized. We lost time because of the late departure, then spent 30 minutes dealing with the unexplained situation with the guards, followed by another 30 minutes swimming before we were able to properly explore Capri. By the time we finally got onto the island, a significant amount of our scheduled time had already been lost.
The biggest issue was the lack of communication. We understand that unexpected situations can happen with port authorities, but we should have been told what was happening and why. Instead, we were left completely confused while our limited time was being wasted.
We booked an 8-hour partial private boat experience expecting to have a well-organized day: explore Capri for four hours, shop and enjoy the island, then swim afterward. That is not what happened. Between the late departure, the unexplained 30-minute delay with the guards, the swimming being moved to before our island visit, the missing wine and snacks, and not being given the option to visit the Blue Grotto even though we were willing to pay the extra fee, this was a very disappointing experience for the price.
Had a great day! Everything was well organized, good vibes on the boat, with music and refreshments and lots of smiles.
We had time to swim, time to explore Capri and see some places around with the boat.

The whole trip was excellent. Checking in was simple, the boat had everything we needed. Refreshments were offered regularly. The captain gave some great advice about what to do on capri

The Sorrento Capri small group boat tour was a 10 out of 10 experience, highlighted by our exceptional guide Roberto’s friendly, respectful care. He tailored the day to the group’s interests, shared engaging island history, kept everyone refreshed with drinks and even treated the group to a fruit salad after the boat ride. His thoughtful recommendations and personal touches made the entire tour memorable and smooth.
Not the operators faults but grottos we’re all closed due to high tide David was very nice and he did his best to keep us all entertained.
It was a great experience. Roberto and Luigi were tremendous hosts. We had a blast. They were very knowledgeable and fun.
Lucio & Ciccio were great! Loved the mix of our time at sea and the tour of Capri. Would book this day trip again!

The swimming is only one stop now for 45 minutes just before leaving Capri. Moreover the guide said it would cost 25 euro to get to Capri piazza when the lift cost less than 5 euros. The guide looked into his self interest.
The captain & skipper were personable and fun. The other guests on the boat were friendly also. Many points of interest were pointed out. I’m so glad we booked this boat trip to Capri!
Overall we really enjoyed our experience! But there were a few things to know - 1) if you are on the 9am tour in the summer, blue grotto is most likely not possible and you should book 7:45am instead (it sounds like they almost never stop at blue grotto for this itinerary) 2) if you choose to do the chair lift on Anacapri (as recommended) you most likely will not have time to explore Capri town as lines are crazy long in the summer and it took us 2 hours for this activity and 3) on our excursion we were not offered to snorkel - there was one time to swim towards the beginning of the trip, then offered to hop in at the Capri port (which I passed on because I thought we would be stopping at another spot to snorkel, but instead we drove home). We had a great time, but there were definitely differences between the itinerary we thought we booked (per the viator listing) and the trip we had
We really enjoyed the experience overall and would appreciate a few adjustments to enhance our visit: please include more dedicated to learning about the history of Capri and exploring the island, reduce swimming time, and, given the hot summer months, provide chilled fruit on board along with adequate shade such as a canopy or umbrellas and portable fans for additional comfort. The boat trip was lovely but we were pretty disappointed with the lack of opportunity to swim and the fact that they didn’t really offer any ‘food and beverages’ that are supposed to be included until like 2 hours in? The boat was over 30 minutes late to pick us up and it was very average.
We had the most amazing and dreamy time today onboard with our wonderful captain whose name escapes me and Francesca. They were wonderful and made the experience even better than expected. I would do it all over again in a heart beat. I just wish they had given time to collect tips as I had completely forgotten and feel terrible they didn’t ask us at the end.
Lucio was fun and a great host. I felt it was overpriced. We didn’t go to either grottoes because they said it was to rough, they could have at least tried. Basically it was an expensive ferry to Capri, short dip in the water and back to Sorrento
