The trip was well organised! Once we found out exactly which tour group we were with the rest was easy! Our guide Vincenzo was fantastic! Very informative but interesting took us to all the best sites! World recommend.

The guide was Gino and he was nice and knowledgeable. However, the group was too big and the earpiece kept losing signal. Sometimes he forgot to speak into the microphone and often walked too quickly.

We would thoroughly recommend this tour. We had an excellent tour guide and a wonderful day at Pompeii which exceeded our expectations.

Joining instructions were really good and very clear. Train busy but fine. Had assumed that when trip described as express it would be on express train but it was on the cheaper train (€2.60 each way) meaning tour was appropriately €40 each. Group was 32 in size and tour lasted about 1hour 30 in Pompeii after waiting around outside at toilets and for tickets etc. Tour guide was good, missed a lot of the important bits, but saw lots too. Nice explanations about life in Roman times.

A great express tour! Gino was the man, he was funny but obviously knows a lot of history and is passionate about what we does. The tour does a lot in two hours, but after seeing the site I could've spent another two hours there. This tour worked best for our schedule but if you have the time you might want to stay longer!

Roberta, our guide, gave us a wonderful tour of Pompeii. Pompeii is a place that leaves you with a mixture of wonder at the level to which the city was built, mixed with the sadness at the suddenness of the death of its occupants. A fascinating place, well worth a visit

Monu our guide carried a Lemon yellow umbrella and was impossible to loose. She was knowledgeable, polite and funny! So excited about what she does. Took us back to when Pompeii village was alive. She packed 2 hours of nonstop information. This is a must do tour.!!!

Take waterproofs incase of rain and wear comfortable footwear. Theres a lot of walking on uneven ground.

Gino was our guide and took us from Sorrento train station to Pompeii and around the site. A very knowledgeable and humorous guide who showed us some of the main attractions in this vast area.
Perhaps if he could use a tall flag marker to show where he is would be helpful.

Perfect Pompeii experience! It’s such a massive site that I was nice to hit the highlights and hear the history. Perfect amount of time and you are welcome to stay longer and wander which was so nice! Mena was a fantastic guide! So funny and well informed.

This was an amazing tour! We were staying in Sorrento and saw this option where the tour guide accompanied the group on the train to Pompeii. This was perfect for us! We met our group and tour guide (Gino) at the train station and did the 45 min ride to Pompeii. Gino was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about Pompeii and all of the history around this incredible site. He brought the history to life with lots of stories and anecdotes. At the conclusion of the tour, we were given our return train tickets and could either leave with Gino to go back to Sorrento...or stay longer and go back on a later train. We opted to continue touring the site on our own. Overall...this was a perfect tour with a wonderful guide. I highly recommend!!!

I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you are lucky enough to have Mena as a guide. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very personable, she truly made this a five star experience. She adapted the tour for our interests and time and made sure we had lots of background information too. Best of all we got to visit the dig in progress - which was amazing!

The experience was very good, very informative, and Gino was great. I would keep in mind that for the train travel you are on your own - it is not done either to or from Pompeii as a group.

The meeting point was exactly where we were told it would be and our guide, Mena, was already there when we arrived. Mena gave the whole group headphones, train tickets & a card with an emergency number. Then we boarded the train to Pompeii & we all met up on the platform there. We then had a coffee & comfort break before we went into the Ruins. Once we got inside Mena’s passion for Pompeii shone through, and she navigated us expertly around the site, divulging lots & lots of interesting facts, with a good bit of humour thrown in. We got plenty of chances to take photos, with Mena advising us on the best spots to take them. It was a great time of the year to go as the weather wasn’t too hot & it wasn’t overly crowded yet still busy. But without doubt I’m so glad we were with Mena as both myself & my wife would have been lost as to where to start & end our walk around the Ruins. At the end of the tour we returned our headsets to Mena and we could make our own way back to Sorrento at our own leisure as our train tickets were flexible. So we had lunch nearby before we got the train back. Mena’s passion & enthusiasm for Pompeii is definitely what made the tour so memorable, and I would highly recommend it⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely perfect tour; arrived at the station and given pre-purchased train tickets, arrived at Pompeii and skipped a 2 hour queue to enter straight away and then a brilliantly entertaining and educational guided tour from Roberta. 2 hours was long enough in the hot sun to see the highlights when shown the best to take.

Mena, our guide was excellent. She was very passionate and knowledgeable about Pompeii. She shared historical information and also humorous anecdotes to keep us interested and informed. She also showed care for our welfare. Pompeii is a huge site, so you can't see everything in 2 hours, but we stayed on after the end of the tour and continued to look around and take photos. The train journey from & to Sorrento is always busy and crowded, but Mena looked after us. The check in process was smooth, with staff easily identifiable. Overall an interesting experience, despite the rain in the afternoon.
