Pompeii is a must see. However tour group was too big 30+. No opportunity for a washroom break or to get water. So bring plenty of water

Would highly recommend this trip. There are so many tours offering what looks like the same or similar trips. I have to say we were very impressed with this organisation and stress free trip. Hotel pick up, on time with messages beforehand. Smooth, safe travel in the mini bus on the way there and back to Pompeii. We were met off the minibus, given radios/earpieces and introduced to our guide Annalisa. She was brilliant, very knowledgeable with just the right amount of pace and information. Could not fault anything at all. 2 hours walking around Pompeii was enough for us, but you could easily visit for 2 days and still not see everything! Once the guided tour was complete, we were met once again and shown to our mini bus. Perfect

Our tour guide was knowledgeable & also added fun tidbits to make tour interesting. We could hear her well the whole time. Site was very crowded! I wish the tour had been longer (despite time listed 10-3pm we truly were only inside Pompeii site for less than 2 hrs - then rushed into shuttles to depart).

Pick up at hotel in Sorrento was on time. It was 1 hour to the Pompei site (and of course 1 hour back) so I assume that this was included in the 'half day' title of the tour. The actual tour itself was a little less than 2 hours and covered some of the main sights. The guide was OK, but she seemed a bit disinterested and had a weird presentation style which was a bit distracting. She could have given more detail in order to build pictures of life in Pompei in ancient times. Overall not a bad experience for the money but could have been better.

We enjoyed it very much. Tour guide did a great job. Two negatives: 1. There were close to 30 people on tour which limited what we saw. 2. Several people on our bus were picked up outside of Sorrento which made the drive to Pompei about 1.5 hours.

We were late because one couple did not show up at the meeting point. I did not expect to wait 30 minutes. Then when we got there we felt very rushed instead of welcoming. Didn’t even give us time to go to the washroom prior to starting. I looked forward to this tour all year and it was the worst tour of my vacation.

It's hard to come to Sorrento and not see Pompeii. The tour and the guide were both good. While I couldn't absorb the wealth of information and the size of what has been uncovered so far, it is a must see. The tour length was good, but I feel I needed a lot more time to fully taken in everything we saw.

We hadn’t realised that this tour didn’t cover all of Pompeii , we only saw a very small percentage of it which was a little disappointing. It felt quite rushed , I would advise either doing it independently or booking a longer tour .

We were picked up from our hotel as planned. It then took several hours to pick the rest of the tour up with the driver going wrong and the bus then had to go retrace its steps to pick up some other passengers. We therefore arrived at Pompeii late and barely had time to visit the bathroom.
The tour was excellent and I would highly recommend a guide to fully understand how people lived. The tour lasted 2 hours and we barely scratched the surface. It would have been nice to have further free time to explore the site on our own as when the tour was finished we had no time for food or drinks and were whisked away without delay.
If I was doing to again I would book a guide and some free time and probably make my own way there.
