Tom was very knowledgeable. We totally enjoyed the visit to the Yu Garden. And it was good that he drove us from spot to spot so that we could escape the heat. I highly recommend this tour.

This was an excellent tour from start to finish. My mom and I wanted to not only see the Yu Garden and French Concession, but understand the history. Combined with the Bund and Pudong, our tour guide Tom helped paint a picture of Shanghai old and new. The Yu Garden was so impressive, but Tom explaining the various details and symbolism brought the experience to a whole new level. We strolled along the Bund, and saw a part of Pudong as well. The tour ended in the French Concession, which was a perfect way to end the morning. After walking through the various streets of the French Concession my mom and I bid farewell to Tom and had a delicious lunch. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone. Tom was fantastic, the car we rode in was great, and we made excellent time. If you want to see the highlights of Shanghai this is a great way to do it!

Had a wonderful experience during the half-day tour with Tom! He thoughtfully planned the route so that we experienced each attraction with minimal distraction / crowds. He was able to answer all sorts of cultural and historical questions with a great sense of pride and humor. Would certainly recommend this tour for hitting all the major sites while adding color and context you wouldn't get in seeing them alone.

Tom was an excellent private tour guide. He arrived on time and provided us with a wealth of information about Shanghai and how the Shanghai Village started out as a small fishing village into what it is today. He gave us a clear understanding about how the French, British & American Concessions were established there also. Tom also answered the numerous questions my husband, son & I each had for him. He answered our questions about Hong Kong, the economics of Shanghai, the real estate, etc. about Shanghai, and so much more.
We would highly recommend this half day tour to anyone interested in learning about this city of Shanghai. I have been on tours of Shanghai in the past but Tom's tour is fabulous and the best I had taken.

An excellent tour with a very experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. Tom met us in our hotel lobby and we started the tour in the old Chinese section of the city. Tom took us to the Chinese section before it became too crowded and explained the history of Shanghai as we walked around. We experienced a Chinese Tea Ceremony which was a highlight, and then learned about the Tao religion in the Tao Temple. Our second stop was the beautiful French Concession followed by the Bund. Tom was able to answer all of our questions and recommended places to eat. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Hello - would highly recommend taking the tour with Tom if you have limited time (business). He is very friendly, eloquent and explains and points out pertinent details about all the sights you are seeing. He also picks you up and drops you off for convenience. His English is excellent so expect very fluid conversation. I was very happy with the outcome.

Tom Zhang picked us up in a very nice van at the Cruise Terminal. He was waiting for us with a sign. We loaded our luggage in the van and went to the Yu Garden in Shanghai. Tom explained the History of the Yu Garden. Next we saw the Bund. Walked around the French Concession and felt like we were in Europe with the sidewalk cafes and nice shops. Saw the new area of Pudong. The most impressive building was the Pearl TV Tower with three balls that look like pearls. Tom explained that the whole area of Pudong is new. If you only have a half day before boarding a ship, I recommend this one. We saw so much and experienced the top tourist attractions of Shanghai in four hours. We wandered the old Shanghai Pearl Village and beautiful Yu Gardens, had an informative tea-sampling lesson, walked the French Concession, the Bund and riverside. Driving the through the tunnel we also drove around the financial district with its lovely modern architecture. Tom was very well-spoken and gave us much insight into the life of Shanghai.
The vehicle was clean, Tom was an excellent driver, arrived early at the hotel and we started our day right away. For an extra 30.00 arranged ahead of time, we were taken right to the cruise terminal after our tour of Shanghai. So easy and convenient.

This was the perfect half day tour. Tom did a wonderful job explaining everything and was very informational. My favorite part was Yuyuan Garden. I highly recommend this tour if you do not want to do a full day tour. This was a perfect 4-4.5 hour tour seeing the best parts of Shanghai.

That was our best tour in Shanghai! Tom was so incredible, delicate, knowledgeable and very helpful. The Yu Gardens were one of a kind and impressed us very much. The French concession and the Bund became one of our favorite places in Shanghai because if the unique mixture of cultures and the tea ceremony was delicious we have never tasted that amazing tea flavors before. The tour is definitely a must and is incredibly good. Our recommendations is to pick it in the beginning of your Shanghai visit! A must with the best Shanghai guide Tom!

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any and every question we threw at him. He drove 3 of us around the city and took in all the big sites in a short time, this was a shorter tour for sure, however he gave us lots of advice and tips for things to do for the next 2 days in Shanghai!

This was a great tour, and my tour guide was the best! Tom's english was excellent and his knowledge about the places we visited, the city and the country were vast. My personal favorite was the Yu Gardens, they were breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour to get a flavor of such a dynamic city.
