I enjoyed this tour a lot. The guide was extremely informative and showed us a bunch of really good food options around Shanghai and the Bund. My only real complaint and this isn't about the company it's about viator is that you have to pay for it in viator (it's only like $5 USD) but if you go to their website, since it's a free tour, you can just show up.

I highly recommend this tour. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable - it was more of a fun tour (as opposed to an in-depth history tour), which was fine for me. You are expected to pay for the tour via tip - so remember to bring cash or use phone payment app for tip :)

We did this comprehensive walking tour in the very center of Shanghai (along People’s Square, People’s Park, East Nanjing Road and the Bund) with Celina, and it was a very good experience. The tour was well organised and very informative, giving us a clear understanding of the history of the city and many interesting insights about the wider megacity. Celina’s English level was excellent, and her explanations were clear and engaging.
Unfortunately, we had quite some rain during the tour, but Celina still guided us with enthusiasm, patience and professionalism, and we enjoyed the experience throughout.
We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the history and character of Shanghai.

It was a long of fun and good information, but honestly the weather was so miserable (95°F and 75% humidity). I would have preferred to do the same tour in the evening, or maybe ending in the evening so you can see the Bund all lit up. I still recommend this as you can’t beat the price (bring tip money! Only way she gets anything), but be prepared to sweat, especially during the summer months.
