Shanghai Zoo (Shanghai Dongwu Yuan) Tours and Tickets

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The tour was extremely well organised, the guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day enjoyable and stress-free. Every stop was beautiful and gave us plenty of time to explore and take photos. Transportation was comfortable, everything ran on time, and the overall atmosphere was fun and welcoming. One of the highlights of my trip — highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!

Our tour of Shanghai zoo was terrific, we were so lucky to have Kalvin (our guide ). His knowledge of Zoo and its history to his knowledge of Chinese History was amazing, you can tell that he really loves his role as a tour guide. And of course the main attraction was the Giant Pandas , and they didn’t disappoint. I would highly recommend this tour . Perhaps you could request Kalvin , he will make it worth it, also his English was great. 10/10 from us Rob Australia ! We will be requesting Kalvin in October when I return to Shanghai with my wife.

It was very good. The driver Wang was on time and made suggestions. I had no problem understanding him. There was a bonus visit to a tea shop. Very tour, it took around 5 hours.

Had a fantastic day visiting the Zoo and Water garden. My guide Cassie was great, informative and fun. The driver was also very good. The lunch was yum.

If you get Robert you will be taken care!! He went out of his way to help us get to a pharmacy before our tour even started. He never rushed us to get back on time and was very patient and answering all our questions. He took us to a nice local restaurant for lunch on the water. I would recommend this tour and even ask for Robert he was such a gentleman and very knowledgeable about his city.

The team did a great job of communications up to the day of the tour. Emails and queries flowed easily and kept everyone on track. My guide called me the night before an confirmed the tour and time for pick up. I went down to the lobby early and the driver was already there with a sign with my name on it. Off we went, and was communicating with my guide the entire route (about an hour). Upon arrival, Jenny was there and greeted me and explained that we needed to go! Seems while she was waiting for me to arrive, several buses full of children arrived and were blocking the entrance! She maneuvered through the mob like an expert and had us past the crowd in no time. It was an extremely rainy day, and Jenny recommended that we try organize our tour to buildings and cities till the rain let up and we wouldn't be stuck out of doors in a down pour. Things worked out perfect as we finished up lunch at a Michelin star dumpling place (phenomenal food) and worked our way through town and off to the zoo. The zoo highlights for me were the red pandas and the butterfly collection. It was a very nice zoo, well maintained and a tad hot so the giant pandas were hanging out in their closures sleeping it off. Jenny was well versus in Shanghai and provide a wealth of information about the city and the places we visited. My snack selections were meat based, and the first one (pork belly) was incredible! I still think of it to this day and can taste its goodness. Upon completion, Jenny got me back in the car and off to the hotel. I had a wonderful time and cannot recommend this company enough & especially Jenny!

The pick up was prompt. The driver Mr Chi was very nice. He couldn't speak English but used his translator. He always opened our door. He also had water available to us. He was very prompt on pick up. It was freezing cold so when he picked us up the car was really warm as he had the heater in the back seat on. We really appreciated it. He was very pleasant. I would thoroughly recommend. Much easier to access the park.
