Lots of food and an interesting exposure to classic Korean foods and dining culture.
My only complaint is that we moved too quickly. There was little time to see of photograph the many sights. I didn’t get a good sense of the city because we moved so quickly. The food experience was amazing, but the “tour” aspect left me wanting.

Our guide was Gina. She was great, very enthusiastic, and knowledgable. We had multiple stops with multiple food items for tasting at each one. There were many options for those who were super adventurous to try different foods and those that weren’t like myself. The group size was 12 people which was a perfect maximum. It allowed us to have sufficient quantities of everything to share around, while still allowing everyone to try everything if they wanted to. We never felt rushed to move on. We would definitely recommend this tour if you want to try some real Korean food.

The tour was okay. The host barely showed up on time to leave when everyone else was there at least 15 minutes beforehand. Our guide then didn’t check the roster since we had to be off immediately, so someone ended up on the wrong tour and was asked to leave midway through without knowing where her tour group was at that point (fortunately we later saw that she found them). Ethically, I know that people have differing feelings about sannakji, but ordering it as a surprise when basically no one will actually eat it is difficult to frame as anything but needless animal suffering (90+% of it wasn’t eaten).

We gave the meeting location and map provided to our hotel, a taxi driver, a coffee shop waitress, a person on the street and two police officers. Each gave us diff directions and none were correct. Google Maps did not work. We were later told it does not work in South Korea. We were never able to join the group. We took taxis to var sites and stopped at a few restaurants to try foods which we enjoyed . Wasted money on this tour. Should have done our own thing from the start. I’ve done food tours in all my extensive 11 years of travel around the world and never had this issue before.

Our 3 hour food tour with Jenny at the Namdaemun Market was a lot of fun. Be prepared to walk a lot. She also moves fast through the market to different stalls so be prepared to keep up. You will sample many different foods such as Korean pancakes with kimchi in it, different kinds of kimchi, a desert with cinnamon and nuts and this is just a few examples. Our tour ended in a beautiful tea house.

This food tour does not disappoint. There are so many good foods to try in Korea and this allowed us to try so many without having to do an entire meal of it.
We enjoyed all the places we went to in the market. And the tea house was a perfect way to end the tour. Go with a big appetite because there is so much to eat.
We did the morning tour with Taeseong. He was a great guide through the markets and we really enjoyed getting to know him. Not sure what the tours are like at other times of the day, but we enjoyed going in late morning when the market wasn’t too busy.

Be sure to come hungry because you will eat a lot! We visited a very busy market, popping into little hole in the wall restaurants that I never would’ve found without this tour. You definitely get your moneys worth. It was our tour guides first tour I believe, so I think she was a bit nervous and a group was late, which made it even more stressful for her, however, she was very pleasant and I really enjoyed the tour.

Great food experience. Our tour guide Jenny was super. Wish we would have done this tour at the front end of our trip rather than the backend. It would have made navigating in the food markets less intimidating.

Not sure if this guide should be in the business given they way they treat people. This is the worst experience I've had with a company. Save your time and money and just visit with locals who are friendly and patient. This guide is fairly unprofessional and does not care about your experience and hopefully at some point will chose anotline of work. I've used viator multiple times , this is an unfortunate poor guide.

Booked the downtown, Seoul guided food and market tour with eight tastings. Our guide was Youla. The establishments and food selected was a great representation of South Korean food. The tour guide provided a lot of information on the food, culture, and market. Very interesting tour and education experience on food and restaurants in Seoul. We would not have experienced this without taking the tour.
