Crappiest tour!

This was one of the worst tours ever. The guide spoke very quickly and did not allow time for us to view the things she was speaking about. Her knowledge was very limited. The speed of the tour was very very fast, and did not allow any time to explore. Then to make the whole thing even more worthless we were taken to a ginseng store that wasted almost an hour of our time with a hard sell and was never mentioned as part of the tour. It was very clear that either the tour company or the guide were getting a commission on extremely expensive ginseng. I would avoid this tour at all costs.

Before I booked and paid for this tour I was told in the chat that they would pick me up at my hotel but not drop me off on return. I was agreeable to that. I contacted again to confirm my hotel for pick up at 0845. The tour operator did not show up. When I called that morning they told me that there was no pickup for my hotel. At that point it was too late to get a taxi or train. I requested a refund and 3 days later nothing but an email saying that they would review the situation for a refund. Very frustrating.

Super disappointed in the communication with the Seoul Tour Operator, who was rude and unwilling to refund when we didn't attend the tour and gave the notice to not include us as what we expected was not what was listed in the tour listing. We had booked within the 24 hours of the tour because however, they ignored us even though they were available on Whatsapp and reading messages. They were rude and blamed us for the situation. Would not recommend!!

Thank you for your review. This is Amy from Seoul City Tour. This tour is a group tour. But you tried to make it a private tour. Since the tour was with other people, we cannot accept your request. And on the tour date, we went to your hotel for the pickup but you didn't show up and only requested a refund even though we secured your seats. If you would like to make the schedule as you want, you need to book the private tour. So, according to the cancellation policy, we couldn't refund it. We are sorry if you aren't satisfied with our service but please understand this is GROUP tour. Thanks

Change of guards at palace was the best part. Others interesting. Not so good was information. I had a question and tried contact the tour operator with Viator message form, no answer. I had to call, then I was informed about change of pick-up time, that was the evening before the tour. The full day tour was mixed with the morning tour. But no one told us and information was not clearly separated. However the drivers were flexible and handled the fact that we had full luggage very well.

This tour was a great glimpse into the history of the Seoul Palaces and the Buddist Temple. Our guide Chloe was wonderful and shared many stories and helpful info all along the tour. She was happy to take photos of us which was a great help. She also recommended a great restaurant to us for lunch when we were done with the morning tour.

Liked our tour guide, and the transportation to the sites was great. Would definitely not recommend this tour until the stop at the ginseng superstore is deleted. we had a longer stop there than we had at the actual sites of real interest. If i had realized that the last stop was going to be at the ginseng place, I would have not boarded the bus again. Skip it and find a tour without this waste of time.
