I really enjoyed the tour to the DMZ with Bill as my guide. He handled the logistics efficiently and was a fantastic guide. He had good insights and was able to answer questions at every stage of the tour, even going all the way to the end of the 3rd tunnel with us. He let us know we should start 20 minutes earlier than scheduled as he anticipated crowds and he was right. We were able to get on a timely shuttle while other groups got delayed significantly. I liked that every spot had guided and free moments. At the beginning we learned about families reuniting after the war at Imjingak. Bill told us how the war displaced so many and had some touching personal stories as well. At the 3rd tunnel we got within 200 meters of the border. It was very exciting. Bill explained how the tunnel was found and the evidence for it being an infiltration tunnel. Following that we went to the observatory to gaze over the border. Unfortunately fog blocked most of our view that day but Bill used models and reference points we could see to lay it all out. After the observatory we visited shops in Daeseong-Dong and learned about their life. Bill had some tips on foods to try we could only get there. The soy bean ice cream was delicious! We then drove back to Seoul and visited the War Memorial. Bill took us through the second floor focusing on the Korean War and the outdoor memorials.
Throughout the entire day Bill was always ready to answer questions and took pictures at and between stops. I learned a lot and was so happy to be on Team Bill!

We booked our tour through Visitor, which was a straightforward process. Our tour guide, Bill, was excellent. Even before the tour began, he had reached out via WhatsApp to introduce himself, answer any questions and clarify the meeting arrangements. This was appreciated, as this was chaotic with multiple buses and people meeting and leaving at the same time.

This was an amazing experience. We went with team Bill who was extremely knowledgeable and gave us incredible background on the history of the Korean conflict. His time management was great as we didn't feel rushed and were able to keep together as a group. He made the tour fun, solemn and relaxing even though it was a busy day. Highly recommend team Bill. I would strongly recommend this tour. Kane, our guide was friendly, organised and gave us in depth information about the DMZ and the history of Korea beyond what you would expect on a tour. As it was a smaller group, I felt very comfortable asking questions. It was a fascinating day made more enjoyable by our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. We also enjoyed the chocolate snack!
My time with Bill was very good he lept up a clear line of communication setting up where to meet and my expectations of the day. He was very nice and was clearly sharing his experiences and knowledge of the DMZ. He was overly patient with us, and the group was small enough to feel comfortable to ask questions and have a dialogue with him. This trip was also selected because of the fact that it went to multiple places I wanted to go that relate to the Korean war/ DMZ. This experience was worth 2x what I paid. He even assisted in capturing the attached photos. I appreciated that unlike some of the other tour guides Bill wasn't constantly spouting information at us not letting us take in the experience ourselves. He would give an overview/explanation and would gladly take further questions. Also if I get this tour again I would specify Bill. Thank you for this trip.
Our group was a small one meaning there was more attention and freedom for each guest. There are no steps going down the tunnel although it's a pretty steep slope but can be done fairly comfortably with rest stops accompanied by benches throughout first part of the tunnel. Our guide, Bill, was very friendly and approachable. He offered to take group photos without prompting. As we travelled with elderly folk，he offered to go up and down the tunnel at our pace to make sure we were ok.
There arent too many photo opportunities as you can't bring a camera to the tunnels and also can't take photos facing North Korea. There are soldiers in the viewing platform who will look out for such activity.
For solo travellers, you're in luck as he typically gives his free ice cream to them. Make sure you buy the soy bean ice cream after the trip as it's the delicacy of the area.
The War Memorial was another highlight as it narrates the trials and tribulations of the country after WW2 and the subsequent Korean war. Bill shared the various stories with us in a condensed and concise form, which made it easy to understand. There's too much to cover in the war memorial for this tour so another self paced visit might be required to finish all there is to see.

Our tour guide, Ann Jung, was excellent and exceeded my expectations in many ways. She reached out to me well in advance of the trip and kindly assisted me with all my questions. During the trip, she ensured everything was going smoothly, and even after the trip, she followed up to wish me a wonderful vacation in Korea. Jae Seo was the best tour guide I’ve ever had!! I’ve traveled all around the world and have never experienced someone so prepared and knowledgeable. She seemed to have the web in her brain as she answered every question the group had.
She also had a printed card, flag and a very large tablet she carried around all day to help educate us. Jae Seo said she was prepared for everything with it (bad weather), etc and I believe it. A truly dedicated host.
We were a group of 7 and scored with a smaller van and less people.
Kevin, our tour guide, was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour is perfectly designed for understanding the DMZ and the history of the Korean War. Visiting the DMZ and the 3rd Tunnel first, followed by the War Memorial (a nice museum), greatly helped me in comprehending the history of the Korean War. I highly recommend this tour - it is absolutely worth the money.
