If you are stopping through Orkney with a cruise ship port, this is the tour to take! We were picked up at the port and arrived ahead of the crowds to explore the Standing Stones of Sternness. Our guide personally escorted us through Skara Brae as well as the Unstan Chambered Cairn. He was able to fit in as many highlight stops while accommodating a morning tasting/tour of Highland Park Distillery. He provided another personally guided stop at Orkney's Italian Chapel before dropping us back at the cruise port. Throughout the day he took pictures of the group and provided us with a history of the area.

Amazing tour. Rainy and cold day, however, our guide Chris has the best disposition to make sure we visited all the sites included. His kindness and knowledge made this tour even better. I would highly recommend. Orkney is a spectacular place, a walking archeological site. Truly marvelous 🙏❤️🥰

This was a wonderful experience as given us by our tour guide Dougie. He was extremely knowledgeable, amiable, patient, and an excellent and safe driver. I cannot imagine how anyone could have given us us a better Orkney tour.

This tour exceeded our expectations and was THE BEST tour of our 10 day cruise. We opted not to do the cruise sponsored tour and chose this private tour with Gary and were so glad we did. He who took wonderful care of us. It's clear that he is proud to live in the Orkney Islands and is eager to share his knowledge with his guests. We visited two henges, a neolithic village, Skaill House and he even squeezed in the Italian Chapel - a must see. Don't hesitate to book this excursion. It will not disappoint!

Chris was our guide for the day. He is the father of the owner of the tour company and is a true delight to spend the day with because of his knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm about the whole area.
Chris asked what our interests were in particular, as he caters each tour as much as possible around those. Everything was well timed in each location we visited and we were entirely pleased with the whole day.
We saw the Unstan Chambered Cairn, the Stones at Stenness, Skara Brae (and the landowner’s very interesting historic home), and the huge Ring of Brodgar standing stone circle.
All along the drive Chris told us about what we were seeing and peppered the stories with local legends and personal experiences.
This was a wonderful “bucket list” day for my husband and me and we will call on Orkney Mini Tours again if we ever get back. Highly recommended.

Our guide, Valeria (?) was wonderful. She explained everything so well and was incredibly friendly. Her car was clean and neat and had a handicapped tag which was important for my husband who has mobility issues.
The tour was amazing, visiting places I've wanted to see for a long time. She also pointed out seals in a lake with their little ones and some other obscure things.
Loved her and the tour! We would highly recommend.
