We had a lovely afternoon with Martin enjoying the local cuisine and learning about beautiful San Sebastián. We decided to do a private tour so we could go at our own pace. Martin was very accommodating and very knowledgeable about Spain, food and wine and especially the Basque cuisine and culture - answering all our questions.

My husband and I enjoyed the half day tour. Not only we had delicious food but also learned a lot of the Basque culture. Our tour guide Jan took us to the Pinxtos bars in the old town area as well as the more local area like Gros. He was able to choose the best dish in each bar and tell us the stories behind it. Jan also explains to us about the Basque history and culture which we are very interested into. It’s great to hear the “insider” stories. He even worked over time in order to show us more places and also sent us more restaurant and shopping info that we can explore on our own after the tour. Jan is really helpful and interesting to hang out with and we had a great time.

Simply the best, most informative, food tour we have ever been on (and we do them in every city we visit.) Each place was filled with history on each chosen pintxo and the walk from place to place was so informative. Our tour guides were so enthusiastic and welcoming. We had unique, delicious pintxos that was carefully planned for us. Fabulous way to explore San Sebastián.

Laura was an amazing guide to the pintxos bars of San Sebastian! My partner and I took a tour with her the evening we got into San Sebastian (she met us at our hotel, which was really helpful, as we didn't know our way around at all), and it was rainy and wet, but despite that, Laura kept the mood bright and cheerful and always knew where to go and what to order! Walking around San Sebastian's old town with her felt like traveling with an old friend. And the food was AMAZING, every single pintxos we tried was delicious in its own way! We loved the mussels tigres, calamari with bravas sauce, beef cheek with pumpkin sauce, sirloin, and the torrija. And all of the wines were delicious, but we loved the txakoli wine and the red from Navarra that we had. It was the best first evening in San Sebastian we could have had.
Best of all, Laura sent us a list of the places we went to, the dishes she had ordered, and a list of the wines we tasted, so that two days later, we could go back to a bunch of the same pintxos places and have them all again! Definitely take this tour if you're headed to San Sebastian - you won't regret it!

We spent a fabulous few hours with Ernes discovering the joys of pinxtos in the old town. Ernes was a great ambassador for the Basque region traditions abs culture and took us to 5 excellent pinxto bars where we enjoyed a lovely variety of local food and drink. Would thoroughly recommend this as a way to pass a few hours in San Sebastián and look forward to returning one day to enjoy more of Ernes’s gastronomic adventures

Laura had fun knowledge of the area and the mix of restaurants she selected provided us with a broad sampling of Old Town’s culinary options. She also did a good job finding items my 12 year old son would enjoy.

We could have gone and got Pinxtos by ourselves but Claudia took us to the places where she knew had unique and good quality food and drink. Claudia gave us tips how to navigate Pinxtos ourselves.
It was a wonderful evening and we went back to a lot of the places Claudia introduced us to.
Can you do it yourself? yes, is it worth doing this tour? absolutely.

Ania's energy and passion for basque history, culture and (of course) food really brought the tour to life!
Having already visited a few places ourselves, Ania tailored our stops around where we had already been to ensure we were trying new things.
Each stop was a fantastic experience, the pintxos were delicious and the local drinks paired with them were perfect.
I really would recommend this tour, there is no amount of Google research that will offer you the same knowledge as a few hours with Ania!

Ania provided the most amazing and knowledgeable experience we’ve ever had. This is a must do!!! She truly made our entire trip amazing and all because we started with her on day 1 so we knew EXACTLY what to do and where to go. She doesn’t just focus on food and wine although this is the best part she also dives into the history and true culture of San Sebastián and its true beauty. She even provided us with recommendations for other cities and countries we were going to be traveling to since you will go on to find out she has been EVERYWHERE. What an experience, I would absolutely make this a priority and I can assure you my wife and I love our food.

Our tour guide not only introduced and explained to us local pintxos, beverages, and culinary customs but shared cultural and historical insights into the city and region. Ania was friendly and knowledgeable. She even gave us recommendations for our future meals. We would recommend this tour to others - and even do it again ourselves!

We tasted some really good local wines and pintxos. As we walked to various bars and cafes our guide showed us some of the buildings and neighborhoods as well as the history behind everything. Recommend you take the tour during your first few days in San Sebastián so you can learn the ropes for the rest of your trip

This is a must! With the private tour we had our excellent guide, Andonis full attention. He took us to a few Pinxto bars in old town but even better were the local places with top notch food and drink. We loved it.
