Rafi was a great driver and guide , professional and knowledgeable, long drive from Rovaniemi about an hour but truely worth it, middle of winter but had a great time , well marked one direction track around Zoo approx 3 km able to see a lot of arctic animals , including moose, wolverine, musk ox and best of all polar bears all out enjoying the cold even could see arctic fox, lunch was a very tasty modest buffet, highly recommend this tour

Really poorly advertised. I booked this as an ‘extra treat’ for my other half’s 50th birthday trip. Highly disappointed with whole excursion & quite frankly ripped off with the price. Not what I was expecting at all, we didn’t even see a polar bear. Unaware it would be a ‘zoo’, most other animals were also not to be seen. Lunch was also a shambles, very limited offering & the food was not enjoyable - myself and my other half both went hungry. For context, we are easygoing people & we booked another excursion through aviator which exceeded expectations on every single level. The value for what I paid was nowhere near worth the experience, transport or food.

Sometimes its a bit sad that Polar bear seems prefer hiding inside the cave for either sleeping or simply enjoying herself there. But most cases Polar bear is outside for hanging out😊. Unfortunatrly you did not see it this time and did not enjoy the local food either.

Amazing day, David was lovely and very attentive taking pictures of us. The drive was good nice spacious car. Zoo amazing- saw pretty much everything and it’s like walking through a forest. Food was very good and all you can eat. Only thing we didn’t get is the chocolates as a welcome gift that was advertised but didn’t spoil a lovely day. Well worth the money and would definitely book again.

It was a lovely day. William was absolutely amazing and professional. He ensured we were given enough time to see every section of the zoo and time to eat and relax. The buffet lunch was fine but it can get very busy. Strongly recommend and many thanks to William!

Aleksander was our tour guide to Zanua zoo, he arrived to collect us with plenty of time and showed us around the zoo, giving us lots of tips and information as we went around. He made our visit very enjoyable and we would definitely recommend using him!

We have decided to book this tour, even though it was more EXPENSIVE than others because it was advertised as a GUIDED ZOO TOUR. However, the guide had no idea about the Zoo or the animals or Lapland nature. When we asked him about animals in the Zoo, he made a reference to the Games of Thrones and YouTube videos. That was ALL.
We asked the company to match the price of other no guided tours. The company refused, however, agreed that the tour was not guided and decided to remove that description from its offer.
AVOID the company if you DO NOT want to OVERPAY, and CHOOSE ANOTHER if you want to support honest people who provide service that they offer and you pay for.

Thank you very much for this feedback on our guide Kevin, who was being eventually selected to be your tour guide in that Ranua Zoo Trip. The reason I chosen him because he used to work for big Safari company like Safaritica here in Lapland and with many work experiences in this field. However, somehow he made you disappointed and we paid him 25 euros per hour on that Christmas day just because I wanted him to provide you with a good service and also told him that this is a guided tour before start. He quite understood on that point but your feedback proved everything!
Consequently, after discussed with my boss, we decided to never to have any cooperation or employment relationships with him, not just because your feedback regarding his knowledge about the animals or Lapland as a whole is not professional, but also on his attitudes to both you and our company when facing this issue(irresponsibility, no self-reflection attitude). More importantly, he claimed that he did the best to you and same as he did for Safaritica. Anyway,
We feel so sorry about this and do apologies for what you had in that tour! based on your advice, this guided tour has been removed and changed into accompanying visit which is more suitable. Besides, if you & your friend visit Lapland again in the future, I will be your tour guide personally to this Ranua Zoo Trip for free! also I know you did not see the polar bear at that day because he was maybe sleeping in the cave..haha(it happens often) . So welcome to Rovaniemi Lapland again, I will give you this tour for free and personally be your tour to introduce you a real Rovaniemi, Lapland as well as the animals(lifestyle, living habits etc).
