Itinerary
Begin your evening tour with pickup at your Rovaniemi hotel around 8pm. Climb into a tour vehicle with your group and set out into the Finnish wilderness, where it's easier to see the Northern Lights.
Once you've reached your destination, you'll have the opportunity to try out some snowshoes and explore the area. Your guide will light a campfire, where you'll cozy up to enjoy snacks and hot drinks. Listen to your guide talk about the natural phenomenon of the Northern Lights, or the Aurora Borealis.
Return to your accommodations in Rovaniemi for drop-off at the conclusion of your 3-hour tour.

Picture a cold night in the woods--with special suit/boots provided by the tour agency--, light hiking up a small hill full of pines trees; darkness, a little trepidation of the unknown, but there! they are...not one, but two Strong Men guiding you, Franz and Kevin (one Finnish and one from San Diego, USA). What do they do? They take you to the top of the hill and make you feel welcomed in the wooden cabin, especially after Kevin makes the fire and Franz tells stories of a long gone past. Northern Lights? Where? Let me see them...What? Do we have to wait? OK..and we waited and as our patience started to betray us...we felt a "presence", yes, it was Fred, the always uninvited guest who no one have ever seen. The sky opened up...full of stars, but no Northern Lights ..GREAT NIGHT ! I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED GREAT STRONG TOUR GUIDES, and Fred was OK too. Thank you guys! Laura :)
