When we were looking for tour options on our cruise, we couldn't seem to find one that did everything we wanted to do until we came upon this tour. It checked all the boxes of animals, chocolate, rum, and snorkeling the reef. The biggest concern was trying to determine what time to schedule as our cruise ship stayed on "ship's time" which was two hours ahead of Roatan time! Rescheduling was easy and Luis worked with us -- even after the ship docked two hours later than they said they would! It turned out we were the only ones on the tour and Luis said to just get there as soon as we could and they would be there meet us. The map he provided got us to the meeting point easily and Luis was there waiting.
He called our driver, Malcom (who was great!) and he took us to Maya Eden first to see the animals. Juan Carlos was fantastic taking us through the butterfly exhibit (and using my camera to take cool slow-motion videos,) then to see monkeys, toucans (which he got to perch on our arms,) a three-toed sloth, back to hold some monkeys, and finished up with macaws perched on our arms and my head! Juan Carlos really knew how to work with the animals and how to go through the exhibits.
Once we left there, Malcom took us to the chocolate factory for a quick sample and then off to snorkel with JC and his son. JC's son spotted a turtle from the boat, so JC led us over to see a hawksbill turtle feeding before leading us along the reef. We'd snorkeled in Key West earlier in our cruise, but this was waaay better. The reef was colorful and there were lots of fish (including a school of well over a hundred blue tang.) The water was much clearer too.
Once we finished the snorkeling, Malcom took us to the rum factory for a quick tasting and then back to the ship.
This was by far the best excursion of our trip! Thank you, Luis, for being so responsive to our questions and so flexible on the scheduling. We chose this tour because of all the 5-star reviews and are very happy to add yet another one.

We booked a tour with Sandri's Tours. We had 3 adults and 1 teen.
Pros:
1. Fair pricing and clear communication for all the activities, personal guide and car to take us around for the 5 hours we had.
2. Our guide, Tanisha, was wonderful! She communicated well in both English and Spanish. She gave us the background of Roatan history, economy, culture, food. She was friendly and knowledgeable.
3. The monkey park with our guide, Sonny, was awesome! We learned a lot. The monkeys were the best part. We also saw parrots, snakes, sloths, butterflies and more. This is a MUST DO in Roatan.
4. The boat tour to the reef, I can't remember which one, was also amazing. We saw hundreds of colorful fish. We snorkeled about 45 min. They provided the gear. Definitely worth coming back to Roatan to visit all their beautiful reefs.
We felt safe; no sharks, no jelly fish. We had a guide snorkeling with us.
5. We also visited the chocolate factory with delicious samples. I felt like the pricing was high. A banana chocolate popsicle was $5. I wish I had seen $5 chocolate to bring back home. Same with the Rum shop and samples.
6. We had time leftover and asked to taste their local dish of iguana. It was pricey but expected because it was close to the cruise port and time was limited. We also stopped by a gas station to try the local beer, SalvaVida. Super good!
Cons
1. Because of our limited time, we saw the touristy and pricey places. Next time, we will ask to see more of the local places and ask our guide to negotiate prices.

Had a very good time with Angi on our tour. She accommodated our requests (like coming back to buy chocolate at the end so it wouldn’t melt!) and was very friendly and nice. The snorkeling was great as well. They take you out on a boat and you snorkel for plenty of time or can just go out and swim. They allowed our elderly parents to stay in the boat in the shade while the rest of the group went out.
