Overview

This tour provides visitors with a curated tour of Rio de Janeiro, the tour guide putting together a unique tour based on visitors’ interests. This tour also provides an opportunity to walk along the famous Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana beaches of Rio. Visitors can do this tour their own way and on their own time.

Tour is four hours so plenty of time to do other activities in the day.

Waste of time and money

Complete waste of time and money. The guide spent the whole time on his phone and chatting with other people and looking for new customers. I don’t recommend it at all.

I booked the 4 hour private tour. Riccardo was a great guide! He communicated the day before and I informed him of the places I wanted to visit which included Centro and Maracana. He picked me up from my hotel right on time. Due to rainy Rio, I didn’t have an umbrella or raincoat but Riccardo offered me his umbrella to use throughout the tour. We were able to check off just about everything I wanted to see throughout the city. Some places were closed due to being the weekend. He also took great pictures of me at all the sites! I highly recommend Riccardo as a guide and this tour!

Forget about this local tour company

This is absolutely the worst tour that we have ever been on - firstly the tour guide was over half an hour late to meet us at the appointed location, then he started to look for the no show driver , that took another 45 minutes ( despite repeated calls to the tour office). We were finally on our way, to do a walking tour of part of the city where the Royal bbc Palace is located . After that we went to visit ( by car) a famous coffeehouse to have a snack . 30 minutes late we came out to find the driver has disappeared . Calls to the office ( and more waiting by the curb )and after 45 minutes the driver showed up again and took us to the Selaron Steps for a five minute photo opportunity , after which the guide declared that the tour was up and took us back to our cruiseship pier . We never saw the sights that we wanted to ( no Copacabana beach, no Ipanema beach ). Even the guide said he has never encountered such ridiculous service from the tour company - never again ( it wasted the entire day that we planned for Rio 😭🤢).

The guide was fantastic! I had a few things I wanted to see, he added a few more things that I really enjoyed, and he was very helpful with tips about Rio and even helped me run an errand. I booked this for my first afternoon in Rio and it was an excellent introduction to the city!

Well it was a site seeing tour so I saw everything I wanted to see but when I told Any that my most cherish wish was to take beautiful pictures. So she took me to places I am sure nobody will se in Rio and I have some great pictures. Then I ask to have a typical Brazilian meal for lunch with wine. She took me to a very nice restaurant and I invited Thales and Any to have lunch with me (MY TREAT) We had so much fun and I learned a lot about Brazilian culture. Thales did not drink wine because he is not aloud to but still was very entertaining. Afterwards, he took me to the airport on time. It was a lovely, lovely day. Thank you so much.

This tour is tailored-made. I had some ideas of what I wanted to do in 4 hours; I discussed them with Dario, the guide and he helped me organized the journey. I had a fantastic time. Dario is simply excellent. He is knowledgeable and friendly. He knows places, history, geography, etc. What I visited? Corcovado - Christ the Redeemer, Santa Teresa (a hipster neighborhood); the Metropolitan Cathedral and Selaron steps.

Regular. Se dice que es un tour privado, el guía muy amable y cordial. Pero no tenia idea a donde llevarme, se supone que no conocía, no tenia un plan, lo único que hice fue andar y andar en un carro con aire acondicionado. No me recogieron en el Hotel. Pero el guía si fue muy amable al dejarme allá. creo que el problema es la agencia y no el guía.
