As a football fan you really should consider this trip . We got lucky as it was the night that Flamengo won the league. Don’t be concerned about security you are with the guide all of the way and with a security escort near the stadium. The atmosphere was like nothing I have experienced in England , seats on the half way line .. a memory for life

What To Expect

Following pickup from your hotel in Rio, board a comfortable vehicle for the trip to one of the city's famous stadiums. Each stadium can hold over 100,000 screaming fans and have hosted many important matches over the years, including the legendary Pele's last game and the 1950 World Cup.

During the months of May through December, twenty teams compete to win the Brazilian Championship, which determines the best team in the country. Rio's Cup and Guanabara's Cup, Rio's series that make up the city's Championship, are played each year between January and May. The winner of each cup will face off in the final games to become Rio de Janeiro' championship team. Both of these championship series mean that exciting games are on year round.

All general admission seating is partially protected from the sun, and you will be accompanied by your knowledgeable guide at all times. See the Itinerary section below for the game schedule.

Don't get me a wrong, going to a game at Maracana is iconic, and you should def go if you are in Brazil, however, this tour is not what it advertises. It literally is a bus ride picking you up at your hotel, walking you to your seats, and providing a bus ride back to your hotel. There was no talk on the way to the stadium (despite passing major landmarks like the Sambadrome), no history or information provided about the stadium, games, teams competing, the guide sits with his friends during the game and so you learn nothing about the fans chanting etc, and then you meet up and get a ride back to your hotel. If you look up how much these games cost you are paying WAY more for a ride there and back. This tour is not what is advertised - it's transportation only.

This is an experience not to be missed, even if you are not a football fan. We were picked up in a modern coach and got to the stadium in time for the match, Our host was wonderful (but disappointed that his team lost). There was a wonderful atmosphere inside the stadium, though be prepared to be searched upon entry.

Pick up from hotel and drop off at the stadium. Guide took the group through the entrance and to the seats and back to the minibus after the match. I was back at my hotel less than an hour after the game finished. Seats were very good with excellent views.

Do not book this. They take your money and your booking even on days when there is no matches going on in the two stadia they advertise. We cancelled and will be seeking a refund from either the operator or failing that, Viator who took our booking.

Predatory and will steal your money

The WORST service. Be aware of this company. I spent a lot of money to reserve this experience. Up until the day of the event, they continued messaging me to be ready to the hour. I waited and waited. Nothing. I called and called. No response. Finally, I reached a number and they told me to hop in a random Uber via a screenshot on WhatsApp. I couldn't believe it but I waited....Twice, they deleted the screenshot of the Uber that was "coming"...and then eventually just straight up stopped responding to me. Be aware of this company. I have the screenshots a d phone number that show the business they operate. Anyways, I ended up getting an Uber there and enjoying the game solo.

A must do experience in rio. The tour guide was great and the atmosphere brilliant. You don't get individual seat allocations in the marracana which is quite cool. There is plenty of opportunities to buy any footy gear when you arrive. Take sunscreen and enjoy !

Showed up 1/2 hour late for pick up and arrived at game as it was starting. No information was provided by guide about Maracanã, the teams or chants. I believe that the seats were switched out for cheaper ones than paid for.

This was an incredible experience, I highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Brazil. There was so much energy and excitement in this stadium. This was a highlight of our trip to Brazil. I traveled to Brazil with my wife and 3 daughters so I was pretty nervous about being safe. Our guide Leo was so good at making us feel safe and he took great care of us, we never felt unsafe at all. My only suggestion for the company would be to give us the words to the chants and songs that the fans were singing, it would have been more fun if we could have participated in that too.

No game on the date we scheduled

Booked for June 9th. Night before company sent an email saying that there wasn’t a game on the 9th. Had to cancel other plans for the 11th to make it work since they do not give refunds. DO BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

An experience to remember!

My family had an amazing time going to the match! Michael, our tour guide, was terrific and helped us weave through the mass of fans outside and inside the stadium. He even went as far as to look for my wife when she hadn’t come back from the bathroom for a while. The fans were great, the beers and waters dirt cheap and the atmosphere was electric! We had great mid-field seats in the shade for most of the game. The bus was newer and comfy. Definitely bring hats and sunscreen for when the sun comes out because it’s is HOT! We highly recommend seeing a game with this his group!
