Overview

Enjoy a double dose of outdoor adventure on this 5-hour zipline and horse-riding trip from Puerto Plata. Travel into tropical woodland and fly down ziplines strung between the trees, soaring through the canopy from platform to platform. Plus, slow the pace a notch with a gentle horseback trek, clip-clopping along trails through rolling hills. Your booking includes a hotel pick-up and drop-off. You will receive a message from us informing you about the exact pick-up time and place. To be able to give you this information, it is essential that you have given us the name of the hotel where you are staying at.

What To Expect

Begin with pickup from your Puerto Plata hotel (select hotels only), and then travel into the countryside by comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.

On arrival at the eco-zipline base, meet your instructor-guide and don a helmet and gloves. Then, after a safety briefing and instruction, strap on the harness and enjoy a 20-minute practice on the training lines.

Once you’re ready, hit the main, 2-mile (3-kilometer) network of double-cable lines threading through the tropical jungle. Feel the adrenaline rush as you zoom through the air and mature mahogany trees. Zip from platform to platform, and as you soar through the canopy, catch glimpses of Puerto Plata in the distance.

Back on solid ground, head to the horse-riding stables, and after a safety briefing, climb into the saddle for a gentle 30- to 40-minute trek.

Ride through the rolling hills on what’s called the Jurassic Park Cowboy Trail, admiring the mountain and Atlantic views on route. The ride is leisurely and suitable for beginners and experienced riders alike.

During a break in your ziplining or horse-riding, take the opportunity to refuel with tropical fruits, water, and sodas.

Finally, return to Puerto Plata where your trip ends at the original starting point.

The whole thing was amazing!!! Staff is stellar. They made you feel comfortable and it was totally fun. 10 out of 10 but be aware if you have any knee or back issues this is not for you. Overall will do it again. Amazing scenery!!!

We called the day before this tour to verify our reservations and pick up time. We waited 2 hours the next day only to have noone from the tour group show up. The resort we were staying at told us that that is not the first time that this tour group has failed to show up. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS EXCURSION.
