The tour was a great way of experiencing the culture of the Dominican Republic! Our guide, Robinson, was highly professional and spoke in three different languages! Our driver Sandi ensured we reached our destinations safely. The day was jam packed with activities, but it did not feel rushed. 10/10 experience, would recommend it to travelers visiting Punta Cana.

It began a little late and stops were needed for tire air which felt uncertain about how things would go but I couldnt help but smile as it felt like a ride with a family member.
We did the horse riding the basilica, gift store market fruit market and mountainous ride and home-style buffet lunch (sooo tastey) Next was the cultural home along with demonstrations of coffee and cocoa making process and cigar making workshop. The last stop was a beautiful beach.
Samples and information was giving throughout the entire trip. I had a great time with memories photos and education to last me a lifetime. During the car rides we had some karaoke to classics and moments of quiet to take it all it.
The entire trip was comfortable fun informative. I experienced the true country village and city Punta cana life. It was relaxed and slow. People are friendly and helpful to each other
Some things to note, its important to bring change (usd or drpesso) for tips and to purchases goodies. The prices and quality was amazing and worth it 100%. Support local hustlers and the real people.

Had Tito as a tour guide and this was an awesome, well-rounded trip. You get to see a lot of Dominican culture and many different experiences in one day. We went to a village to ride horses, then a busy local market, then to another farm restaurant where we had buffet-style food with many options. After that, we went to another farmhouse where we got to see how a real family lives, how they harvest food, and how they process cocoa and coffee beans. Then we went to a tobacco factory where we were greeted with free cigars, rum, mamajuana, and candy tasting, and wrapped up the day at a beach. Overall, it was an excellent trip and I will definitely do it again next time I come. Recommend bringing money as there are plenty of souvenirs/cigars/liquor/coffee/cocoa/etc to buy, and since the tour guide knows the sellers, they are not as pushy and it’s much less of a headache to get good deals and money goes to good people.

This tour is one you want to go on to see and learn more about the culture. Darwin was very knowledgeable and personable. Make sure to wear your walking shoes and bring water. This was an excellent tour.

Francisco was a great and hospitable host during out trip. He is the right guy to take you around for a cultural city tour. He made us feel comfortable and not at all forced, he knew the ins and outs of the city, as well made us not feel pressured at all as tourists.

Be ready for the variety of activities awaiting you. Francisco was an excellent guide, full of knowledge and humor. Plan extra time of 2 hours to allow for picking up and dropping off other guests..

Even though this is advertised as a half day tour, it’s really 7-3/4. And includes so much! Our driver Sandy was very helpful and tour guide Franklin explained so much about the culture. You may be surprised to be picked up in an open air caravan but please be open-minded! This tour was very worth it.

BEWARE TIME!!! This is a full day tour not four hours! I booked. This thinking it was a half day and we would be back, but no they said four hours to get you to book. By the time you realize it’s not a half day tour it’s too late. Also, it is not a small group. There were three vans of people we were forced to go place to place with. It got to the point where our group had to band together to get our driver to take us back to our hotel. I will say horseback riding was fun, seeing the culture, making cigars was cool, but taking us to a beach they we did not ask to go to just to be swarmed to buy things was a big red flag for me. This tour does not have all the details, fine another tour! Save your money and most important save your time.

Mediocre excursion. I was picked up over an hour later than what was indicated. The tour guide was good about telling us what was next, but I wanted to know more about the culture and life in DR. He didn’t explain in any detail about the stops we had (chocolate and coffee farm, cigar factory). The produce market was a quick walk. I don’t even know what’s local or unique to the island. Lunch was delicious. The tour lasted 7 hours and not the listed 4 hours. Overall, I didn’t feel like I got much cultural exposures. I could have learned more by reading Wikipedia.

Very interesting program with lots of items done in a short time. You can get a feel for the Dominican Republic. Robinson (our guide) was punctual, knowledgeable, good sense of humor and timing. He took very good care of us in a professional manner. Each individual (there were 6 of us) felt like we had a personal tour due to his attention. We did horse riding, cigar factory tour and learned how cacao is processed. The excursion was pleasurable and educational. Very good value. In our hotel the same excursion was double. The minivan was very comfortable and the driver also professional. The only minus is that from pick up to drop off it took 9 hours, while the excursion was slightly longer than 5 hours.

I had a great experience with this small groups tour. The guide was super nice and very accommodating the only thing I wish is that we could have gotten to taste some cacao ourselves instead of one that was already dried and used up. I would still recommend anyone to see this tour as it is rich in culture and history which I love

From breathtaking views inside and outside of the basilica, to the markets filled with spices giving a true sense of what life is like here, to being taken back in time with tours of the coffee/ cocoa processing plant to the beautiful macoa beach as well as the amazing tour guide Sandy we rate this tour a resounding 5/5 .

The tour guide/driver was beyond excellent. The vehicle (shuttle) was in bad condition, it looked it bad shape when we were picked and was wondering how it was going to work. 1/2 was through the trip, AC stopped working, passenger Front window is the only only one that opened up. Drivers windows didn't open and everyone was sweating really bad. We all tried to make the best of it, however that ruined the entire excursion....I recommend giving a refund. It's a lot of $$$ to pay for AC not working.
