This excursion was most definitely worth it. If your all about the adrenaline. We stopped in three places. Alexa’s was very attentive and helpful. He waiting for the group and made sure we were all together.

Equipment is questionable...

Equipment is questionable and so are the ethics of the other vendors they partner with. We are still tying to get a refund from the beach bar they took us to. We paid on a card and when we found out they were charging and additional 25%, we paid cash and they were canceling the charge. Not happen yet so the 2 - 25.00 drinks cost us 120.00.

We always advise our guests to be cautious and to confirm all prices and payment methods in advance — especially when dealing with independent vendors who may add unexpected surcharges. That said, we have already contacted the establishment regarding your case and requested confirmation of the refund. According to their initial response, they had initiated a cancellation of the card charge after you paid in cash. However, we understand that you have not yet received that refund, and we are continuing to follow up on your behalf. We value your feedback and will take further steps to avoid sending future guests to that particular spot. Our priority is to ensure every guest has a transparent and enjoyable experience.

I really enjoyed our tour especially tour guide Alexis he was very friendly and spoke good English. It was raining but still had fun. Got completely muddy. The cave was pretty cool. Definitely cold water the street vendors get a little overwhelming. Don’t make the mistake we did. It was raining when we went to leave and we forgot about getting our souvenir We purchased one of their custom.

Dirty Fun on a Hot Day !

This was such a great way to have a little fun l, visit the beautiful Macao Beach and see the local culture and the village of El Rancho ~ the little kids loved the candy treat bags I prepared for them 💕 Our tour guide Alexis was top notch!

Is was a good experience. No complaints. I would have liked to spend more time at Macoa Playa. That was a great beach. Buggies and atv were great fun!

Horrible I want my money back

A couple buggy’s ran out of gas or broke down . One of the buggy was spraying gas and hot water and burned a couple back up . Dont buy the food on the beach they charged me 50$ for dry chicken and plain white rice .

The dune buggy wasn’t bad if your buggy didn’t break down. The transport there and back was hot as hell. I wouldn’t do this again.

Dont bother booking this company. Their atvs and buggy broke down 5x during our trip and had to change vehicles multiple times. We didnt even get to enjoy the experience and we were rushed through every stop. We lost a phone during the activity and they didnt even bother to help, we have a feeling they found it on the atv and kept the phone for themselves. Requested a refund. We are so disappointed!!!!

I was told my pickup would be 10:30am but didn't arrive until 45 minutes later to get in a van that had no air conditioning. The buggies did not look or feel safe, the beach was nice but too many vendors. The cave was not what we expected you get to jump in and that was it no swimming in the cave. All in all the experience was not good would not recommend this company.

This is a genuine response, nothing coerced as I saw some people say they were forced to give a review. If I followed the negative reviews I would have missed out! The hustling ie people coming to sell you things or ask for money were not overwhelming at all.....Things of course were more expensive so you can simply opt to buy elsewhere but overall it was a good experience and cheaper than other ones. No mechanical issues, buggies were comfortable, some time delays as is expected with group trips but nothing major. Thanks John Carlos!

Good adventure, bad service provider

Not the company in the description, services provide by company name “El Bori” not Universal Experience. The boggy were in terrible conditions, even unsafe at some point, I understand the terrain can create damages on the equipment but even in strait pavement the vehicle was zip-sagging, tires worn down. I completely understand the type of vehicle I was getting in to but these were too bad. Another companies have way better buggies. Not doing this company again.

Muddy n wet

Had a ball. On the day we went it started raining while we was riding but it made it more of a better experience. . My boyfriend lost his chain inside the cave and one of our tour guides dived in a got it for him. We was very lucky. One con is we kept getting lost because it's so many different groups on the paths. I suggest they have flags on each buggies so everyone can keep eye on the group. We had a slow driver in front of us and her buggy kept stopping so we kept getting left. But our tour guide WIZ kept coming back for us. So that was great.

This buggy tour is a must do in Punta Cana! We drove around for a while and stopped at the gorgeous Macao Beach! Stunning views of the crystal clear water. Get ready to get dirty and enjoy the thrill of driving around. Definitely recommend.

We had a blast! Highly recommend this tour. We were the fast group. Lots of mud, lots of laughs. The beach was amazing. The cave was awesome. Only con was all the people constantly trying to sell you stuff. Every time you stoped they were right there in your face.

Fun in the mud!

Overall it’s a very fun experience! We were supposed to go to Macao beach, but we were told that we couldn’t get to it due to road conditions. Which was very disappointing since Macao beach was definitely one of my top destinations to visit. However, we did go into a Cenote cave and jumped in for a refreshing splash that was much needed after being in the direct sun for about 30 minutes. At the Cenote there was a little shopping center where you could buy souvenirs if desired. Everyone of course wanted to pull you in to their shop, but as long as you say no thanks and walk away you should be good. We did stop at another shop where they gave us coffee and hot chocolate tasting, but they are waaaaaaaaaaay overpriced. You can find the same products for much cheaper at other local shops. We did also get approached by many kids for money, but as long as you continue on your way they back off. Because if you give 1 kid money they will all run to your buggy. Expect to get super muddy and a bumpy ride, that is the point of this excursion, and when the guide tells you that you need a mouth cover/bandana believe him and have one handy or purchase one for $10-$25 at the shop. Overall a super fun excursion and they get great pictures of you in the buggies. They try to sell the package for $50, but you can offer less and they will take it. If you don’t mind getting muddy and running through large pot holes definitely a fun one to do!

It's a Joke

if you like being swarmed by vendor of all type, this is an excursion for you. regardless of the stops, be prepared to be approached by all sorts of vendors. Upon arriving at Rex Buggies, after our introduction and Rex Buggy representative brought us over to a display on item he say's he made, no way these items are identical to what other vendors where trying to sell us at different stops along the tours. the first two stops were a joke; the natural cave they advertised was a 2 minute jump into fresh water with limited time time to actually look around. Upon leaving the cave experience, you were swarmed vendors not taking no for an answer. the last stop, Macao Beach.........nice ride through dirt roads and mud. we get to the beach and the swarming started again, trying to sell you anything including " beach sand". our safe place was to get into the ocean where we can be left alone to enjoy the surroundings. of course, when you get out of the ocean, the selling started again. a wasted 4-hours.
