What To Expect
Start this half-day Punta Cana jungle adventure with easy hotel pickup in Punta Cana. Once you get to the Hacienda Tuko adventure park where the activities are, you’ll begin your fun day.
The park is home to zipline courses, dune buggies, and horses—all of which you can do during this tour. First, start with soaring through the air on a series of ziplines through the jungle terrain. Next, go horseback riding before going on a dune buggy with your group.
This half-day experience also includes a provided lunch to make your day go as smoothly as possible. Once you’re done, get dropped back at your hotel in Punta Cana.

Be prepared to work a little if you ate older theres alot of walking and stairs for the zip line .

I booked an excursion that included zip lining, horseback riding, and a buggy ride. The zip line portion was enjoyable and well organized, and it was the highlight of the experience.
The buggy ride was disappointing. Our speed was limited by the group behind us, which resulted in moving very slowly for most of the ride. Because of this, the buggy portion felt boring and did not match expectations.
Unfortunately, during the horseback riding portion, the horse was trotting and the saddle caused significant friction on my leg. I was wearing shorts, and due to the lack of proper guidance or warning, I suffered a friction burn on my left leg that required medical treatment and medication that I had to pay for myself.
Because of this injury, I could no longer swim or fully enjoy the rest of my vacation, which was very inconvenient. When I informed the staff about the injury, no assistance or support was offered.
Additionally, at the end of the excursion, the tour guide asked me to leave a review and stood by while I was doing it. This made me feel pressured to leave a positive review to avoid an uncomfortable situation rather than being able to review the experience honestly on my own afterward. It gave the impression that reviews are being encouraged under pressure rather than voluntarily.
While the zip line was well done, the buggy experience, safety oversight during horseback riding, lack of support after an injury, and the pressure to leave a review significantly impacted my overall experience. Clearer safety instructions, proper customer care, and allowing guests to leave reviews on their own time would greatly improve this excursion.

- The transportation van was modern and clean. The driver drove safely
- The guide Eloi was amazing
- Horses were well taken care off
- Safety was not compromised
- Friendly staff but not pura vida. People who have been to Costa Rica will understand
Cons
We comparing $ vs other activities in DR vs similiar activities in other countries like Costa Rica
- Communication was bismul. Had to work hard to get answers on WhatsApp
- Not bang for the buck. We paid $140 CAD per person for 6 people and activities were subpar for value
- Horse ride was very short and we turned back middle of trail for some reason
- Zipline was good if you doing it for the first time. If you done it before specially in Costa Rica, don't bother. It's mickey mouse
- Buggy rides were the biggest disappointment. Not working from the get go. Mechanics fixing on the fly. I understand occassional breakdown but this was not different level. Not worth $1
Also, garbage on the route is unacceptable. If this is a route for buggy and guest will see it, spend $20 and clean it please
- Lunch was A ok but no pop. Who gives lunch without pop?
Overall this operation has potential but they need significant improvements
It will never ever work if your main objective is $. Your main objective should be to entertain guests as much as possible and $ will automatically flow in

What a cool experience all around. Getting to see parts of DR that were not local/touristy was so cool. Our Tour guide Juedi was amazing. He was informative, patient, funny and very hospitable.

Great experience. Judi was fantastic. Kept everything moving, English was impeccable, and the in some bonus stops for cigars, coffee, chocolate,mamajuana and souvenirs. Horse back riding was short but fun, buggies we're exciting, and the zip lining was safe and fun. Comparable to American setup and safety standards.
If you're in the fence, do it! You won't regret it. Be sure to bring sunscreen, bandanas and wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty.

Transportation to, and from your resort, meal, horseback riding, buggies, and surprise it was well worth the money per person. ($100)
Being that I’ve experience, an excursion very similar just at a different park. My only critiques are they should allow you to ride the buggies for a little longer and actually get the doom buggies experience by getting dirty and having a little time to do a little solo driving in a big open area. Horse back riding and the food was the best for me out of this. The ziplines were okay, there’s 8 of them. It was very exhausting after the fourth one and they did not have water stations in between every 2 to 3 lines the one water station that they did have they did not have cups or something for the guest to be able to access water cause we were all very dehydrated and I think that’s what took away from the experience, especially since they tell you to not bring anything on the zip lines. The 30 mins stop at the Macao beach was just really for taking a picture and getting souvenirs. The waves were rough and the beach did not look very clean so the group we went with none of us got in. Because we were all very just tired and wanted to get back to the resort we were requested to end early and skip the souvenir store stop. Our driver was great. We gave him a good tip for being with us from 8am-3pm every step of the way. I would recommend this excursion for first timers, but since this is not my first time experiencing excursion like this, I gave it a three star.

Everything was great. We did hiking, horse riding and buggy. The staff was great and Eloi the guide he was the best. I would recommend everyone should try here if they need real adventure and fun.

I was a little upset that I couldn’t reach any one before the excursion to confirm the pick up but the night before they texted me. The horses was fun but crazy the zip line was amazing but tiring as you do 6 zip lines thru the whole park but refreshing and the buggies was fun. Our guide Alex stopped grabbed a fruit and shared it with us. The food was amazing overall a wonderful excursion

Start with the lows and end on the highs:
Lows:
A couple of the tour guys doing the buggies were showing us a turtle and while that was interesting...it became a negative when they started spinning the turtle and dropping it and playing around with it to see who it would bite with each other. Debated how many stars to lose just for this when there were so many highs, settled on losing 2 just for the turtle.
The driver that brought us back got a bit exasperated with people when he tried to stop at a gift shop, it could have been a language barrier though as he was asking people if they needed to use the bathroom in Spanish but people were tired and thought he was dragging us into a gift shop like the trip there.
Mid:
I loved the zip lines, but they were a bit tiresome, could have used some more water stands along the way.
Highs:
Horseback riding was amazing and a lot of fun, loved the stop off at the Dominican home and all the information about the cocoa bean and mamajuana.
The guys doing the tour and the women at the home were all amazing, there was one man in particular, unfortunately I did not catch his name, but he was the main guy wearing a white shirt and told the story of the cocoa and mamajuana, he was particularly a standout of the experience.
The buggies…..damn...those were fun!
The only downside was being stuck behind drivers that were more hesitant and inconsistent in their driving.
Driving for my job that was annoying as I sit in traffic all the time, but when I was able to get going for an extended period of time, nothing better including going through the water and mud and getting sprayed, fantastic!

Jeudi was our instructor he was so nice funny & informative. Each activity was so fun i definitely recommend. Afterwards we were fed the food was absolutely delicious. The bonus was taking us to Macao Beach omg most beautiful beach I’ve seen yet and to a gift show the whole experience was amazing.

We had a fantastic time. We were picked up on time in a comfortable, air conditioned van. Fio, our host, quickly introduced himself and explained our itinerary. After a few stops, we arrived at Tuko ready for fun.
Fio was very informative, and attentive. His energy definitely set the tone for the day - and always made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves.
Each activity was a fun new experience. The crew never rushed us - allowing us to take in the moment and the beautiful surroundings.
Lunch was delicious, and under a shaded area, providing relief from the sun. Also, fresh water is always available after each event.
Suggestions: Wear your bathing suit, clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty. (A few pieces were permanently stained even after washing a few times.) Bring a towel, you will go in a river, and have a chance to wash off with water after the muddy ride.
Also bring sunglasses and a bandana to cover your face. You'll appreciate the protection from the mud.
Our kids had such a great time, and loved going through the pictures later in the evening. We all agreed the crew can make or break an experience. The crew at Tuko was funny and super helpful. We felt safe at all times. Our host Fio was the best. We're so thankful for his guidance on the tour - never feeling rushed. We really felt we got true value for our money with this excursion.

It was an adventure packed day. We were picked up at our hotel a little before the given pickup time. Our guide, Fignole, was very attentive and polite. He ensured that we were good and explained the safety rules and guidelines to us while we were on the bus and again when we got to the location. Transportation was very comfortable and it was nice seeing the country side of Punta Cana. We enjoyed the horseback riding activity and the visit to the country style house where we got to try fresh cow’s milk and cacao powder. The zipline and buggie activities were fun as well. We got to swim in a river on the buggie trail and we also visited a beach before going back to our hotel. Lunch was delicious as well. I’d recommend for anyone seeking a little cultural education mixed with lots of adventure.

The experience was really wonderful. First, we went horseback riding to a house where we tried homemade chocolate and mama Juana. Then, we rode the horses back and went zip lining. After zip lining we went to ride the dune buggies. After the dune buggy excursion we got to enjoy a delicious lunch before going to Macao beach. We were back at our resort by 3:30pm. Our tour guide Fignole was so nice and made sure we were safe and entertained the whole time. I would definitely recommend this excursion

This experience was interesting to say the least. First things first, I will say overall it was definitely fun and worth the price, but I probably wouldn’t do it again. Me and my family were picked up using the free shuttle services. Once we picked everyone up it took about an hour to make it to the location for the activities which is located in the mountains. The activities are rotated to ensure groups are getting them done in a timely manner so our first adventure was the buggies. They were the best part of the activity which says a lot because we had one brakes give out, another needed the battery changed and was hot wired multiple times after shutting off and one had a flat tire. They can go pretty fast, but you’ll follow an instructor so its not free range like a go kart, there’s also a no passing rule so whatever buggie you choose you’ll most likely stay in that order the entire course. The course itself including the stop at the river took about 45 minutes altogether. We were then shown to the horses and that was an eye opener…The horses look unwell! So much so I didn’t even want to post the pictures I have on mine because he looks absolutely miserable. They had flys around their anus, constantly shaking, faces look absolutely miserable and their hair looked matted/under-cared for. These were all things I noticed once I was actually on the horse so it was a point of no return. They take you down the front path for about 10 minutes to a regular styled Dominican home that you walk through and take a break in. There was water, mamajuana and Dominican chocolate severed along with milk. Afterwards you get back on your horse and go back down the path which was another 10 minutes. Then there’s ziplining…whew it was a challenge! You’ll need a locker at this point if you haven’t already gotten one as they require you to put your phones up. There’s 14 stops/stations and at least two of them require a walk up an incline, another requires a walk across a one by one vertical plank bridge and two (beginning and end) that requires a walk up many steps. There was no water until the second to last stop and unfortunately for my group, there were no cups! So we didn’t get any, though most of us were out of breath and needed it. Aside from that the ziplining itself was fun, but I wish I knew about all the extra stuff beforehand. At the end theres one more incline to get back to the main area where lunch was served and pictures and souvenirs could be purchased as well. All in all, there was just a lot of kinks in the organization and if there was better maintenance and instruction I think it would go much better.
