Itinerary
This Punta Cana sailing and snorkeling catamaran tour starts with easy pickup from your Punta Cana hotel. Once you’re picked up and you’ve made your way to the catamaran to board, get ready for a full-filled, half-day adventure.
Your boat sails close to shore, so you can take in sights as you go. Then, it takes you to a natural reserve for snorkeling, which is a less crowded area than other snorkeling tours usually take you to.
The catamaran features onboard restrooms, and alcoholic drinks and snacks are provided, too. Plus, during this experience, stop at a sandbar where the water is waist-deep and enjoy relaxing with a floating bar in the water.
After all the fun, get dropped off back at your Punta Cana hotel.

Wonderful trip — highly recommend!
We’re a family of six (two adults, a 17-year-old girl, a 14-year-old boy, and two 12-year-old boys), and we were looking for a small-group experience with great snorkeling — definitely not a “party boat.” This trip exceeded expectations.
The boat is a fairly large catamaran, but our group was just our family plus one other couple, which made it feel relaxed and uncrowded. Our guide, David, was engaging, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. The captain, Mitchell (spelling?), was also friendly and clearly very capable.
We started with a snorkeling stop that was fantastic. Even though the main area had a lot of tourist boats, David jumped in with us and guided us away from the crowds. He pointed out all kinds of interesting things — a live conch, a sand dollar — and even gave us fish food so the fish would come right up to us. He also spent time teaching the kids about the different fish, which they loved. One of the highlights was seeing a coral reef “farm,” where coral is being grown on an underwater rope system to help restore reefs over time. I really appreciated David’s focus on the environment, which seemed consistent with the broader appreciation for nature we saw throughout the DR.
The second stop was more of a hangout spot — shallow water near a beach with other boats around. The kids got to paddleboard, and David didn’t just hand them equipment — he jumped in and played football with them, which they thought was great. Even with a number of boats nearby, it didn’t feel overly crowded and still felt very family-friendly.
On the way back, David pointed out several sea turtles, which was a really cool bonus.
The trip lasted about four hours and included sodas, snacks, and alcoholic drinks that David made.
Overall, we loved this experience — especially as a family that wanted to avoid a party-boat vibe. Our resort had tried to steer us toward what felt like a very controlled, almost artificial snorkeling setup, and we’re so glad we didn’t take the bait (pun intended).
I’d book with David and this company again in a heartbeat.

The Happy Fish crew was amazing! The crew of 3 was very accommodating and fun! We felt like we were on a private trip. We took a tour to a local island with a big company and this was SO much better- more personal, more activities including snorkeling, turtle sightings, paddle boarding, and unlimited snacks and drinks. We couldn’t give a higher recommendation!

We are so happy with Happy Fish~~ Kudos to the crew members. We travel with 9 and 7 years old, crew members make sure my kids are safe and happy during the entire trip. We see thousands of fishes and sea turtles 🐢

This was an amazing tour! Nino and his crew did a great job keeping us safe and having fun. While snorkeling, we saw many different kinds of fish and the reef. The waterslide and diving board were very fun on the boat as well! Great value, you also get drinks included and a snack.

Amazing! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this tour. We loved it. Lots of drinks and fresh food served throughout the tour, great energy, boat was super clean and well kept, we saw lots of fish and turtles.

We had such a great time, the staff was very friendly and even let us turn around to watch sea turtles as we were heading back to the dock. The snorkeling was out of this world, and the staff directing us in the water knew exactly where to take us and we felt safe the entire time but saw so many fish! It has been our favorite day of our trip to the Dominican!

Really great cruise! I went with my two 6 year olds. Their favorite part was the slide on the boat and the sandbags where they could stand up. My husband and I love the snorkeling and seeing the corral reefs. All the workers were fun and helpful. They have equipment to use, drinks, and some snacks. We would definitely go again!

Cruise was good really enjoyed seeing the beautiful beaches and swimming in the sea. Staff were really nice, funny and friendly. Dips and crisps were lovely drinks good not that we had many but what we did have were good. Few small comments that I want to make we paid extra for a quieter boat with 16 people or less there were 21 no biggy. Music awful sorry but had to be said and that wasn't fully down to the staff if was other people on the boat who were the same age as us but acted 18 again kept changing the music that the staff put on to the awful music which was loud and ear piecing. We paid for a smaller quieter boat if we wanted a party boat we would have booked it. And vice versa to the other people they should have booked a party boat. I would recommend the boat trip but double check if you want a quieter boat ask the questions first.

Happy fish catamarans was a great experience! We had an 8 & 6 year old with us who loved the slide and diving board. There were only 14 people on board so it wasn’t a huge/crammed party boat, but you could still get drinks. The snorkel gear was clean and we were able to see all sorts of fish and sea life. Our guides were amazing and friendly, even snorkeling with us to point out the best places/things to see. The snacks and drinks on board were great, complete with a floating bar for on the water drinks. Overall, fantastic experience that was reasonably priced for an half day adventure. Highly recommend this company!

Dominican Kevin Hart was amazing and so was the lady bartender and Daniel! We didn’t get her name but she was so great. They played amazing music. When I jumped in for the snorkeling, my wedding ring fell off.. Kevin Hart retrieved it and I owe him my life! We made sure to compensate him for his services. Everybody was incredible. Also they let me rap the entire GO DJ song by lil Wayne. They treated us like family! ¡LA FAMILIA! ¡HASTA LA VISTA BABAY!

By far the best experience in the entire trip! It is definitely a “must do”. You may find a slightly cheaper option but I can promise you this one of well worth every penny!

We had a really lovely time on this catamaran tour and would definitely recommend it. The half day length was perfect, it didn’t feel rushed, but we also didn’t feel like we were stuck on a boat all day.
There was a great mix of activities including snorkelling, paddle boarding, and relaxing on board, plus we were given nachos and fresh fruit which was a nice touch.
The staff were all really friendly and created a fun atmosphere. There was definitely more of a party vibe at times, with music playing and drinks encouraged, but because the boat had two levels there was still space to sit somewhere quieter if you wanted. It felt suitable for different types of people and we really enjoyed the balance.
Overall, we had a brilliant time and would happily book again!

We had an amazing time on this excursion and it was the highlight of my trip to the DR! The driver was great, we met a wonderful group of people on the catamaran and became fast friends. Snorkeling was beautiful! I saw so many fish and a stingray. The staff (George, JC, and Sosa) were all amazing. Great snacks, strong drinks, would highly recommend this to anyone!

We had an amazing time on the small group excursion on the catamaran. The snorkeling was fun, though we arrived at the spot after some other groups, so the main thing we saw was colorful fish, and nothing else. We then went to a sand bar and hung out there. We had an amazing captain, co captain, and bartender. They served amazing drinks and also offered chips and dips and fruit for snacks. We met amazing people on the tour, as there were only 12 of us, so we were all able to hang out and bond. Overall, great trip!!! Highly recommend. The transfer from our hotel worked well too and we felt safe the whole time.

If you really want to snorkel, this is a good tour! Not just a little tourist reef, they really take you in the ocean and then you get to relax on the boat and in the sandbar. Great quality vibes and service. Convenient for a morning or afternoon on vacation.

The catamaran was fine/fun. But the 2nd stop we made to wade in 3 foot of water was terrible. Tons of other boats/people VERY close together all playing different/ LOUD music. Couldn't wait to leave.

I was solo traveling and this was a great time! Well organized and the double decker catamaran was comfortable and only had maybe 15 people. Saw tons of fish snorkeling and they kept the drinks flowing the whole time. So much so that I can’t remember all their names other than Ana the bartender because she was really cute 🤣
