Our experience was super fun the kids really enjoyed it. The horse ride was amazing!!! staff was excellent an accommodating ….one of our kids is on the spectrum and when we mentioned that he just didn’t like the mud on him they let us know we’re to give him a little shower. Thank you so much guys!!! I know the competition for business is hard wish you good luck!!! You guys are awesome!!!

The bus never showed up. We waited for an hour. Destroyed my 10 years birthday. The family was completely devastated

I don’t believe the tour would have been terrible. However the company promoting this tour “Bayahibe tour” is not reputable. I checked age requirements and information before booking this tour. The plan was for my mom and I to take my 4 kids ages 5, 4, 2, and 1 onthe tour. It was advertised for ages 1 and up. I checked several times as I knew I had little kids. The actual guides and drivers were very pleasant. The pick up “safari bus” was fun and my children enjoyed the ride. However it was a long process as they stopped at several hotels to pick up. Once arriving the buggy company approached me to let me know the children were too young. They had tried to reach out to the tour company “Bayahibe tour” but of course no answer. There was also no mention of horseback riding. It would just be a buggy ride, beach stop and cenote cave stop. The issue was with the booking company not really the tour itself. Do not use Bayahibe tour. I reached out and the buggy company reached out and there was no response. Complete false advertisement! And NO REFUND or even a response from the selling company “Bayahibe tour”! Do not book from this company!

We were really looking forward to horseback riding since it was listed as part of the excursion. Once we arrived we were told that it was unavailable and only issued a $5 refund after complaining. This was false advertising and there was a large group of us wanting to horseback ride. In addition we were picked up at 11am instead of 10:30am.

Excursion was well organized and was well worth the money. Highly recommend this excursion. Only downside was local people trying to get you to buy things the whole trip.

Gave it a 3, not because of the tour buggy staff, they were great guys. Their buggy's definitely need some maintenance so that's something to consider as you're booking this type of tour, what type of vehicle will you have, updated? not? My buggy had a hard time starting and they eventually had to change the battery - no problems after that. One of my family member's buggy stopped and they had to get them another - no disruption to the day though as it happened during one of our scheduled stops.
We however DID NOT HAVE HORSE BACK RIDING as part of our tour and the Viator driver seemed oblivious to that part of the tour. Our driver also was chatting it up with other Spanish speakers, taking his eyes off the road, hands off the wheel and then at one point saying something about the "Americana's." Well a few in our group could understand a little Spanish and once they he realized it, changed the subject. No cool.
Also, we were picked up at 10:30 - on schedule - but once dropped at the dune buggy spot, we did not get going until 1:00pm!!! This was supposed to be a 4 hour tour that turned into 6 with NO horse back ride which is why my daughter-in-law chose this tour!!!
Do a dune buggy tour, but maybe with another tour company, you will enjoy it.

A 4 hour excursion turned out to be almost 8 hours. And the worst of it all is we didn’t even get to do the horse back riding at all. We went to every other thing listed on tour but horse back riding. And for that reason my family was not satisfied and we want a refund. If we wanted to do atv/buggy only we would have picked that by itself. It was so disorganized and I would never recommend ever again

We highly recommend this for couples. This was a private tour that took us to multiple locations. We went to the beach, and a cenote. It is a significant amount of time that you get to ride. We did pay a few dollars more to drive the atv and we highly recommend them over the buggy. During the time of the trip there was a person there taking photos of us during the entire trip. They turned out really good and he was prompt sending us the pictures within the same day. This may not be the best for solo travelers because it is for the most part a private excursion. The photographer and the guide are both English fluent however there were other guides with us that were not. If you’re looking for a great adventure for couples or small groups this is one that you don’t want to pass up.

The trip started out amazing. The ride was great, the horse back riding, while only about 25 or 30 minutes was a lot of fun.
The reason I only give it 2 stars instead of 4, or 5, is the buggies were a huge disappointment. We only ride on pavement or gravel roads that were incredibly bad and the buggy we had would have been shot if it was a horse.
Solid front suspension, so it was dangerous to drive. The steering was so vague, I tuned right and it went straight. The brakes has to be pumped 3 or 4 times to stop and the ignition system was 3 wires hot wired together.
The 2 guides we had were fantastic, but the poor buggy ride really mad the 4.5 hours we were there unpleasant.
It's not just that the buggies were extremely hard to handle, they were downright dangerous.

Mr. Rapheal was super punctual and good natured. He picked us up in a well maintained, tidy van.
Our kids loved the buggies and horses. The staff was very patient and communicative. Mr. Henry and Mr. G were friendly and spoke fluently in English and Spanish. Our tour guide was awesome with families.
My little one especially enjoyed the horses. They were well trained and gentle animals. The trail guide also really helped him feel comfortable riding.
I recommend bringing cash for tips and if you want souvenirs(we don't normally buy on vacation) as there may be limited access to electronic payment.
I wish I had brought candies or little treats, as small children often approach the tour groups (nothing pushy, the kids were sweet...mostly curious, saying hi, or selling flowers/fruit along the pathway).
It was a really fun trip and great value for the cost.

Overall, the trip was very inclusive and the guides were nice. But I would not recommend this for solo travelers.
This was my first solo trip and I booked this activity to get off the resort but I was very surprised when I realized that I was the only person doing this tour. No one else there but the guides (which were a bunch of men) and me. So yeah a little creepy being the only girl. Throughout the whole trip it just felt like the locals looked at me like an atm machine or something. Starting from the Casita where the guy tried to sell me a bunch of traditional dominican things and then he said he was gonna give me a special rate bc I was Mexican. And then he says to his friend in spanish that only gringos are pendejos. I was so not impressed with Macao Beach - a bunch of seaweed and just another selling point. The cenote was beautiful also but yet another selling point where a guy just handled me his iguana and asked me for a tip. I tiped him 5$USD for holding his iguana a minute and he had the audacity to ask for more. And finally they tried to sell me some pics that they took for 70$.USD
The last part of this tour was the horse ride which looked more like ponies to me but oh well.
Anyways, I'd say if your staying at a resort , you're better off booking your activities through them.

first off we were picked up by a broken down van with no air-conditioning ,no windows could be opened they were sealed and the driver didn't even engage in any way.Plus the van stalled multiple times and all the warning lights were on.We got to this disgusting ranch with no toilet seat or door to use the facilities.The dune buggy i had had to be hot wired to start no where to put your belongings.all our vehicles were broken down pieces of junk,I know they were because other tours had newer more stable vehicles.Our vehicles were patched together almost all of our group broke down at least once.We parked along side another group and i saw the differences up close ,from a distance the other groups machines looked much better but at closer examination they were far superior.The guide was not good at all he just rushed us through everything Macoa beach was beautiful we spent so little time no where to change into bathing suit.WE were there for 25 minutes we lost the guide he was so determined to get the other group back at the ranch.The basic dominican house was on the ranch just trying to sell you more stuff.the photographers were pushy and tried to sell you the camera car for 70 dollars .I don't know how you can advertise this tour i would remove it as one this site recommends.

This was by far the best atv/horse combo I’ve done out the country! When booking this know that they do give more emphasis on the ATV than the horses so if you’re looking to ride horses for a longer period of time this is not the activity for you. Definitely worth the price! We atv’d to several different locations spent a good amount of time at each location and throughout the town. I really enjoyed this activity and next time I visit Punta Cana I will book this company again. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because our driver was late picking us up from the resort but other than that a really great excursion!
