NEVER AGAIN

Our excursion was confirmed for the morning of Friday, April 7. The tour company then sent us a message on the afternoon (1pm-ish) of Wed, April 5 that they have “prohibited activities” on our original excursion date due to Easter festivities and would like to reschedule our excursion pick up for thurs, April 6 @ 10:00am. For someone who has pre-booked our holiday activities this notice is beyond way too late for anyone to make changes to their plans in less than 10 hours. At this point the excursion has already been paid for. Did not hear back from the tour company after we mentioned that the proposed pick up time did not work for us. We did not get picked up for the original excursion date we booked for. Would not recommend for lack of professionalism and communication from the tour company. We now have to take extra steps through Viator to get our money back.

This WAS NOT what was advertised or what we paid for. VERY EXPENSIVE for what it was. We have done several utv tours, and have never had an experience like this. The description said “cave, beach, rum and cacao tasting”. We did taste the cacao-did NOT see a cave or a beach, did not taste rum. The guides spoke no English-which is fine, but not what was advertised. We rode in “buggies” that were NOTHING like what was pictured, and all 4 of vehicles broke down at some point on the tour-and that included the shuttle that picked us up, which went to the wrong hotel first. Every time we stopped (once to taste sugarcane-once at a river with tons of trash and dead animals-and at the cacao tasting) the guides had to fill flat tires, jump start batteries, rig broken brakes…the one positive was that our guides were very careful about making sure no one was left behind and we had a photographer who was working very hard to capture out experience (unfortunately he could not recover any of our pictures at the end of the tour). If you want “rustic”, “authentic” and “no frills” this may be for you, but we all expected much more for $250 per couple

Beware!!! Falsely Advertised!!!

This tour did NOT go to the beach or a river cave!! The vehicles kept breaking down which made the group keep stopping. The tour guides did not speak English at all. I would not recommend this tour to anyone!

Great ride thru the towns and sugar cane fields

The whole crew was very attentive and would do anything to accommodate you. We were in a cruise and we were picked up and dropped off right on time. The ride thru towns, the river and sugar cane fields was lovely. I would suggest the company to invest in goggles. Helps keeping dust and dirt off peoples eyes. It could also help in preventing an accident.

Great Trip / communication sucked

The actual trip was fantastic, our tour guide. Juan Carlos spoke English very well, and was very personable, he made the trip super enjoyable. The only challenge was the online booking and the communication with the business for pick up location. We had selected a pick up location on the website, then they sent me an email saying they couldn’t pick me up at that location. Took three days to finally work out directions of where we had to drive to meet the group. That part was stressful and very difficult. I think that if you’re staying at a hotel in Punta Cana, I think you’ll have an easier booking experience that I did.
