The Sierra Madres are steep and lush with extremely small “villages” peppered throughout. This tour takes you on the very narrow and rugged dirt road system that winds in and out of a few very sparsely populated towns (you see a max of 5 “buildings” in one location). It’s authentic and real (with the exception of the tequila tasting…. They should drop that… we actually like tequila). If I were to come back, I’d work with the tour company to bring supplies to donate to/visit the village school. It only goes to middle school. If they are lucky, they move to PV to continue into high school and beyond. Great trip! Wear something to cover your mouth!!
