This was a fabulous...
This was a fabulous activity. Valeria was great and made the cooking and prep a lot of fun for all. The food turned out delicious and our whole group enjoyed it. The location is definitely off the beaten path, but turned out to be a bit of an oasis and was really lovely. The one recommendation I have for the group there at La Dulce Vista is that they may have to invest in repairs to their bus (or a new one). There was no air conditioning and one of the seats had come partially loose. I can tell they are a small group that is working hard at their tours, so I hope they are able to get that upgraded! Don’t let that deter you, though! This was a lot of fun and a great way to spend the afternoon.

Wonder interactive learning experience
This activity is fun, educational, and delicious. We enjoyed learning about the origins on cocoa, and the process of making your own chocolate. The staff is amazing, engaging, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed several of the different chocolate desserts options. There’s also WiFi available and makes getting an Uber much easier. Overall this experience was a highlight of our vacation.

Fun, very informative, and hands-on cooking class.
This was a wonderful experience, learning about all that goes into making mole sauce. Our guide and chef,Elias, was very knowledgeable and an expert on all the ingredients. Our time at the market was very informative, and all of us had hands-on experience during the cooking. And then we got to eat chicken with mole with Spanish rice afterwards. Very impressive class and so much fun. We also each got a jar of the mole sauce we made. Take this class, he won’t be disappointed.

Chocolate lover's dream!
There's only so much time I can spend at beachside or poolside during a two-week stay in Puerto Vallarta, so we book activities and excursions. A class at the Chocomuseo has been on our repeat list for several years already! Wander through the free museum and learn a bit about that item the Aztecs called "the food of the gods." Sign up to make chocolates, and/or truffles, which you will get to take with you. A newer addition is a mole class, that rich smoky sauce with a bit of unsweetened chocolate. We've never been disappointed by the instructors nor the delectable treats!

A Must-Do Experience!
It’s a ‘can’t miss’ tour. Being guided through the Mercado and seeing Chef Manu carefully select the ingredients for your meal and explain the various differences in products he was picking for your meal just made it so personal an experience. When arriving at his home you feel less like a guest and more like a friend. And he cooks an amazing meal! Very willing to take the time to answer questions and even teach skills! We have been slicing fresh peppers wrong our whole lives! Glad to be set straight! We all stopped talking when the food was served and that is the absolute best review you can give because you’re just too busy eating. Can’t recommend enough how wonderful we found this and have now decided it will always be included in our future trips to PV.

This was such a cool...
This was such a cool experience! We met up with Manu at the market, which had no other tourists in sight. He asked us a bit about what dishes we like, and curated a menu on the spot. After that, we shopped for ingredients at the market, and he explained some of the nuances of the different seafood and groceries there. After that we went back to his place, which was absolutely charming! And best of all, we met his sweet dog, Max! Manu cooked for us while explaining the steps of the recipes, and we all chatted (very easy conversation). We learned so much from this talented chef and would absolutely recommend the experience!!

Great experience in the perfect length of time
The ability to come at any time during their business hours was super convenient. We ended up with a private tasting. Javi was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The tequila is very good. They will make a sales pitch (perfectly reasonable) but I wasn’t pushy at all. He also let us try multiple flavors more than once. The whole experience was a little less than an hour which gave us greater flexibility with our day in Puerto Vallarta

Authentic Mexican cooking
We did a Wednesday class, which for us meant seafood (octopus and shrimp) enchiladas and tostadas. Enrique walked us through the market, and showed us how to choose the freshest ingredients.
Everyone in our group of six got a chance to participate in the prep and cooking at Enrique's house, and the results were delicious!
You get a link to many more of Enrique's recipes at the end, too.
