On June 20th and 21st, the traditional Five-Petalled Rose Festival will take place. Entrance to Český Krumlov is subject to a fee of 500 CZK / 23 EUR. Clients must pay this amount to the guide in the morning before the tour starts. Payment is accepted in cash only.

Karolina was a fun and enthusiastic guide that made this trip a special day. She provided an excellent history lesson on the ride there. We received a great orientation around town with highlights of the key sights and unique shops. We joined the group for the lunch at a picturesque spot with good Czech food. There was plenty of free time to explore the town afterwards on our own. We enjoyed this trip so much we would love to return to this town again and stay there.

Amazing medieval experience

Well worth doing. David was a brilliant guide who gave us lots of information about the history of Cesky Krumlov and the surrounding area. He took care of all our practical needs and his recommendation for lunch in a Medieval restaurant proved an excellent choice.

Good trip

Our guide, David was great. The trip was structured well. And the lunch place we went to with David was wonderful. The town was a little underwhelming for the distance travelled. Due to the springlike weather, we did get to see the bears. Overall o very good day.

Cesky Krumlov worth the visit.

Cesky Kromlov is definitely worth the visit. It is a beautiful spot. The coach was too small, cramped and uncomfortable. A bigger bus would have been better. I may have missed this but the tour was in both English and Spanish. The issue then became that the guide seemed more comfortable with Spanish so he seemed to spend more time speaking Spanish and I felt that we missed out on some things. Check this before you book your tour. David was our guide and it was his first time taking a tour to Cesky Krumlov. He tried very hard but as mentioned spent most of his time speaking with the Spanish tourists. The driver of the coach did a great job. A few tight spots and some bad weather on the way back but he didn’t miss a beat.

Fairytale town worth visiting!

Carol was a wonderful guide who gave us a very informative history lesson along the way. She also kept us on schedule. Cesky Krumlov was the highlight of our vacation! Around every corner was another treasure. We rode 2.5 hours and visited a fairytale land. We enjoyed the walking tour and had plenty of free time to see the church, castle, and gardens. We also had time for lunch and shopping. We highly recommend this tour!

Cesky Krumlov is very beautiful. Our guide was very passionate and worked very hard. He took us to the main spots to get good views and take pictures. Unfortunately his English made it very hard to understand what he was saying. We understood about 25% of what was said. For that reason the guided part of the tour was lacking and it was frustrating at times. It would be better to take the train on your own and explore the town yourself.

The tour bus held about 20 people, a perfect sized group. The 2 hour drive through the Czech countryside was lovely. The town is a great example of medieval architecture. We had 4 hours on our own, plenty of time to take the castle tour, have lunch and wander.

Long day, bring an umbrella in case. Wear comfortable shoes as there are cobblestone streets and you will do a lot of walking. A beautiful place to visit!

Long but scenic ride to castle. Beautiful setting, relaxed atmosphere. My guide LOVED to talk and often repeated himself. It was difficult to filter out what was important and what was just his rambling. His German accent required concentration. Visit was definitely worth the effort. Suggest spending a night as the town emptied out at four and I'm sure it became a very different, intimate experience.

Cesky Krumlov is a storybook village

The good: Český Krumlov is a storybook village. An absolute must-see! You get about three hours to explore the town on your own. Definitely go to the gingerbread shop—the hand-painted icing is exquisite! The bad: There’s an overload of information given by the tour guide, which takes away from time exploring the castle, church, and village. Informational pages and plaques are posted everywhere, so it’s not necessary to hear/read it twice. There’s also a mandatory stop in a moldavite shop, which wasn’t of interest to us. The solution: Break away from the group. Go at your own pace through the castle and village. Just be back at the bus on time! Don’t miss the bears!

A real life fairytale village

The town itself is like a fairytale come to life. Every part of the village is adorable. The painting of the castle is whimsical and very well maintained. The shops in the village have interesting things to buy not seen anywhere else, especially the gingerbread shop where the cookies are actual art pieces. There are a few different places to eat, including a nice crepe shop, so don’t feel pressured to eat with the group and guide. The places right on the water have a great view of the castle and have blankets & heaters for chilly days. If you stop for a snack at the cafe next to the museum entrance, try the chocolate cake. It’s delicious!!!!

Delightful little town and castle with a rich history. I enjoyed the tour and the free time after. Transport was a bit strange as the person who picked me up did not explain that we would be meeting our guide and thay he was providing transport only.

Very memorable

Our guide and driver were exceptional. We had a glitch with our earlier tour and Viator immediately got us accommodated on this tour. They were really helpful with us trying to find the pick up location. Our guide was very knowledgable and gave us lots of information even as we were still in the city and pointed out things along the way. I really enjoyed getting to know more about the culture, industry and history of the area.

Great day trip to a beautiful town

It was a great day trip and Karolina was our guide. She is very knowledgeable about the history of the region. You arrive to the town around 12p and then you receive a walking tour of the castle grounds and bits of the town before you can break for lunch around 1:15p. There were a few shops we were brought into that I expect have a reciprocal/payback relationship with the tour operators. Nothing sketchy, but I would have preferred to have more time to explore myself rather than being moved along as a group into certain stores/restaurants. They will make you a lunch reservation at a place down in the city center to eat as a group. It was fine, not bad, but nothing special. It was fast and prices seemed normal. I have nothing to compare it to, but know that you may be asked if you want to eat lunch with the group or go out on your own. If I had known ahead of time, I could have researched other restaurants and chosen a place that I might have liked better. Because of all the extra guided touring and the group lunch, we only ended up with about 2.5 hours in total to tour the town. It was barely enough - I would have liked a bit more time to myself to explore. But all in all, I would recommend!

Good start for a 4-day visit to The Czech Republic!

I had wonderful trip to Cesky Krumlov on Easter. The bus drive took 2 hours, and during the drive Karolina shared a lot of information about the Czech Republic history, we also had quiet time to rest and enjoy the view. The castle and the city below were really worth visiting. As it was my first day in the Czech Republic, it was a good introduction for the following days in Prague with a lot of useful information.

Very unique place, and beautiful. The tour guide was professional & was doing his job. The weather was the best we can get in November, and not too crowded. But, some resturants & shops were closed during off-season. We had enough time to explore the bell tower, the view was magnificent.
