It's self-guided and the views are amazing. Go to the rooftop, not many people know about that. 360 of the city both indoors and outdoors.

It's easy to waste time on the enclosed lower level, although that might not be too bad if it's cold. Look for the stairs to the rooftop deck for unobstructed views.

We arrive a little early before our designated time and even though there was nobody there, they would not let us up to the observation deck. Contacted tour provider through the app to change time, but no response.

The tower was closed and will be closed until Friday. Tried to reach for rebook for another day but until now without success. No warning for the tower closure.

Disorganized and confusing entry process. There were no clear signs for the tour, and the wait for the bar and rooftop was painfully long because all lines were merged. The night view was pleasant but not exceptional, so don't feel like you've missed out if you decide to skip it."

The view was great but was overpriced for the experience. It was very windy and cold and had very few places to sit to enjoy the view. I recommend saving your money and putting it towards going to the top of the Eiffel Tower, which was a much better experience.

We thought we would be able to go up and have a glass of champagne, get a small bite to eat and watch the lights of the Eiffel Tower. There was no bar service at all and a small kiosk that sold pastry. View was nice.

The signage for the tower is almost nonexistent. We nearly left after walking completely around the building. Staff are substandard and the whole experience was very average

be careful summer camp children fill up the entire lines to go up during mid week. be patient as there is only one elevator to go up to 56th floor

Montparnasse Tower has great views of Paris. The kids really enjoyed the rooftop and there is a nice seating area to just sit back and enjoy the view. There is a quick elevator to the 56th floor observation room, but you must climb 3 flights of stairs to get to the rooftop. If you have trouble walking, as I do it’s difficult and the rooftop definitely not wheelchair accessible. It would be nice if they added an escalator.

Where the entrance is?
It was a bit misleading but a nice evening out.
The signage for Montparnasse were not good.
Possibility more reliable ones.

Great views! Easy to access. Missed our 8pm slot and went at 9pm and it was no problem at all if you’re running late
I’d recommend going either earlier or during sunset. We went at 8pm and it was hard to see towards the Eiffel Tower because of the sun

We went up the 56 floors by lift, from there,we were directed to the final few steps to the outside rooftop, before we could take in the view,everyone was told to leave, ‘evacuate the rooftop as there has been a serious incident’.We had to descend the 56 flights of stairs,in the dark,as the emergency lights hadn’t come on,back to the ground floor, no direction or explanation from the staff, who looked ‘bewildered ’to say the least.we we told once downstairs to leave by the front door, again no explanation, I will be asking for a refund!!

As a first-time visitor to Paris, I couldn’t have chosen a better place to begin than the Montparnasse Tower. It offers a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the entire city — the perfect way to orient yourself before diving into Paris’s many treasures.
What I especially appreciated was how each window provided clear information about the direction you’re facing and the iconic landmarks you’re seeing, such as the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Cœur, Notre-Dame, and more. It’s a calm and organized way to get a sense of the city’s layout, and incredibly helpful for getting your bearings early on.
Other things that enhanced the experience:
• The rooftop terrace (if the weather is good) gives you a 360° unobstructed view that’s simply unmatched.
• There’s a café/bar at the top, where you can enjoy a drink or coffee while soaking in the sights — very relaxing and romantic!
• The interactive displays and touchscreens inside help you dive deeper into the history and architecture of Paris.
• If you go in the evening, you can watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle every hour — a truly magical sight from this vantage point.
Overall, Montparnasse Tower is more than just a viewpoint — it’s a must-visit experience, especially for first-timers. I highly recommend making it your first stop in Paris. It gives you a stunning preview of all that lies ahead.

This was absolutely incredible. We couldn't get tickets to the Eiffel Tower and the lines were excrutiatingly long. We decided to do this instead and it did not disappoint!
You can see Paris in 360° and there is information about a lot of Paris landmarks while you look at it.
There was a "movie screening" about the building development of Paris in year form which I loved to see.
The highlight was waiting for the Eiffel Tower lights to switch on at sunset. What sight!

Building is super old, rundown and the metro doesn't seem to be the safest area. The windows, especially on the terrace, were filthy. The views are great and it was fun to watch the sunset, but I would choose someplace else if I had it to do over. Has huge potential, but...
