Make your own way to the atelier in central Paris in time for your morning or afternoon workshop, where you’ll be greeted by your fashion-expert guide. Then, follow the instructions of your guide combined with your own creativity and fashion flair to create a one-of-a-kind custom-made purse or bag.
Select the shape, fabric, and stitching to ensure that your bag matches your personal style, and piece it all together under the watchful eyes of your guide. You don’t need any sewing experience; just bring your imagination and be ready to learn! During the workshop, you can also choose from various different optional accessories and fabrics (extra costs may apply) to create your luxury bag. At the end of the tour, you’ll be the proud owner of a handmade custom-order piece of French fashion.

C’est magnifique! This is an amazing experience. I was anxious going into it due to the mixed reviews. Honestly, it’s not for everyone. If you’re going to get a bag that is the same price or less of a mall brand and are only focused on price, sit this one out. The Champs-Élysées is for you. Allez-y! The experience at Minime is for artisans, craftsmen, and those who want the experience of having a couture bag made before your eyes in an atelier. I learned so much about what goes into fabricating a bag, and choosing my own fabrics, lining, metals, chain strap, and embellishments was so fun! They let you lock up valuables in a locker so you are free to work. You can participate in some of the fabrication and sit with a dressmaker while they execute the hard parts. Our class coordinator, Luna, was transparent about all additional costs and wrote it all on the order sheet as we went along, so as to avoid any confusion at the end. I spent an additional 238€ to get the perfect bag. They will do tax-free paperwork if you ask. You just have to go around the corner to their other store to have it completed.

This experience was unique, from start to finish. I love crafts and this truly satisfied my creativity. There are 3 tiers of of fabrics; the first is what comes with this 🎟, but if you want more cute and unique patterns, accessories like a zipper, and pins/charms you have to pay more. You get size options as well and you're there to witness the purse making from start to finish! I had a ball. I ended up paying an extra 70€. Also, if you want a hard cover you need to come back at a later time to finish! The store is super cute and fun, you can make charm necklaces and bracelets too! This is my favorite souvenir! It was an overall good experience but don’t expect to leave with a finished bag if you choose the big rigid model, I had to come back the next day and it wasn’t ready and I had to come come the day after as some stuff didn’t adhere together properly. The staff is amazing but they were lacking of skilled staff so the only one skilled was overwhelmed with work. And most of us spent some times during nothing. I’ll recommend but expect to stay longer than 3 hours and depending how fancy yuu want your bag you’ll have to add some money. I love my bag but I ended up adding a couple of hundreds more to create the bag I truly wanted. It was worth it as it’s unique and so beautiful but you just have to keep that in mind.

This is experience was amazing! My daughter (22yrs old) and I had the best time creating our own bags with the help of incredible, fun and talented artists. We loved every minute of it. Can’t wait to go back. Moon was a fabulous teacher. We loved learning from her.

What a fun concept for this class! When you walk in the store, it is full of whimsy, sparkle, and fun! You get to see other things that could be made such as hats and bedazzled jackets before you walk back into the studio space where you’ll make the Chanel purse.
A few things I wish I would have known before going into this:
- Not all of the fabrics are Chanel. There are a range of fabrics for you to choose from and the staff provides guidance on how to choose fabrics to keep you within the deposit amount paid for the class which is definitely a little bit harder when the Chanel fabrics are the most expensive.
- Certain fabrics could cause your experience to take longer because they need special handling. I chose two fabrics that had bead work on them and the couturier sewer on site had to use his expertise to break some of the beads in order for the fabric to be sewn without damaging the machine. If I had known this before, choosing my fabrics, I may have chosen differently as I ended up having to wait longer for my fabrics to be prepared.
- I wish I could have done more the bag, construction myself. I cut the fabric to the pattern pieces, and I sewed on some interfacing and I pressed a few pieces and that was it. I wish I could have sewn more.
- I only had 36 hours in Paris and while I know I could not bank on this experience being exactly 3 hours, I was there for closer to 4.5 hours.
All in all, I did have a good time at the class. I was able to not touch and feel and choose from different colorful fabrics that always makes me happy and I was able to spend some quality time with my friend that did the class with me.
They do have a new location down the street that has a lot of other classes that looked interesting as well!

This was so much fun! Our instructor, Muna was a delight and helped guide us through each step of the bag making process. Alex was the fantastic tailor that helped sew and assemble the bag. They were both amazing and made the class perfect.

What a unique shop and experience. Upstairs and down stairs filled with so many fun and sparkly accessories, every girl of any age will go nuts here!! But expect to shell out extra bucks for your special bag creation, you only get €145 towards the bag and you could walk out with a very glitzy but pricy bag. Luckily, they are aware so they go over price BEFORE you cut any fabrics. Plan triple time if you do a hard bag, not the soft bag. And ENJOY!!

I am a designer purse lover and somewhat of a seamstress, so this activity sounded right up my alley. We had about 8 ladies in our group, several were birthday girls. Our teachers and the gentlemen,who actually did the heavy lifting of assembling the bags, were all friendly and helpful. They were transparent about the cost during the process. Yes, extras add extra, but this is a truly one of a kind purse. The fabric selections were gorgeous. There were several size and style choices for the bags themselves. We had the 9am class and were done by 1 and everyone left with their bags. If you are looking for a unique activity while in paris, I recommend.

This is a great concept for the bag lover, however there a many factors that impacted my experience and not good things.
This is the one experience I was really looking forward to when I went to Paris, however that quickly changed. I did the 9am session. Initially I was asked to choose the size and style bag I wanted to make, I chose the extra small hard bag. They then told me to go downstairs to pick my fabric. I chose a fabric that had a “red” tag, which was the cheapest category. I was then told to come back upstairs so that the “leader” could tell us all how things would run in our 3 hour workshop. We were then instructed to go back downstairs and choose fabrics again. When I went downstairs the fabric I chose, had mysteriously changed to a green category which is the second highest price point. My sister was with me and she confirmed it did have a red tag initially and I wasn’t imagining it. I ended up getting it anyway. We were then given our pattern and told to cut the fabric and heat press and sew the interfacing on and cutting around the edge. As a sewer, I started to sew mine on, then the professional sewer said they could do it faster so he took over. He then cut my fabric to the edge of the interfacing. In the mean time, the “leader” had started helping someone that wasn’t in our group, and took majority of the time of our workshop hand sewing patches on a denim jacket, not helping anyone in our group. I was made to wait 45 mins, and was then told that I had to start again because I had cut it wrong. When I told him I didn’t cut it, the sewer did, he said it doesn’t matter its wrong. So off I went and started again. Once I was back up to the same point I was before starting again, I then had to wait another hour and half before someone came to show he the next step. Now when I say help, they actually did it and I watched. By this point it was 1:30pm. I was then told it’ll take a few hours to dry, so I needed to come back at about 4pm. I wasn’t very happy about it, but I did anyway. I went back at 3:30pm… the guy was still working on my bag. I then walked out and waited a bit longer, and went back in after 4pm. I wasn’t very happy, and was then told that they are open till 7pm to come back around 5pm. I went away and went back again at 5:30…. My bag STILL wasn’t finished. At this point I was furious. When I finally got my bag, I asked for compensation as they really took up our entire day, so if we had other bookings we would have missed them and they really stuffed me around. I as compensation they gave me my choice of broaches from the accessories table. 🤷🏼♀️ which I guess is something, but…. The workshop that was advertised that I was going to make the bag, ended up being made by someone else. The bag turned out beautiful, but 1. I didn’t make it and 2. A 3 hour workshop turned out to be an 8 hour workshop.
The other thing that was frustrating, they charge for every single piece of the bag. The 4 panels are separately prized, the chain or bag handle is separately priced, the inside lining is separately priced, all the accessories are separately priced. Yes you get €145 of the initial price off your costs, however it VERY quickly adds up. So my DIY luxury bag experience ended up costing me an extra €300 on top of the €145. Like I said great concept and I did get a beautiful bag, but it’s extremely expensive, don’t book anything or plan anything else on the same day and you probably won’t end up making the bag yourself.

Expect a hot building and to spend an additional

The workers were very nice. There were so many clients at one time that it caused chaos.

This experience was truly a highlight of our trip to Paris! Sewing our one-of-a-kind upcycled bags was such a special and unique memory, We will think this workshop fondly each time we carry our conversation-piece bags.
The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. The workshop is spacious, well-appointed, and filled with a variety of high-quality options. The design space is set up so that many can work simultaneously and safely. The storefront is colorful and well-stocked with awe-inspiring with samples.
This workshop is very well-run. They really helped guide us through the process. We anticipated a high price-tag after our various add-ons and upgrades, but the final products were quite reasonable.
From picking out designer fabric to sewing with the prepared patterns to hammering the hardware in place to picking out the straps & embellishments, this was a hands-on activity that epitomized Parisian fashion and personal creativity!

An unforgettable experience to participate in the tailor-making process of a bag. The team is very helpful all the way. Some overrun is expected so set a relax schedule like around 4 hours for the afternoon class will make the entire experience enjoyable than stressful. The price sheet provided is clear enough to help you to estimate the extra cost may be expected on the top of the advance payment. Morgan was the BEST guide and Alex did a wonderful job sewing up the bag. I will say It is easy to go over the $165 quickly so you definitely want to pay attention to your selections if you are trying to stay in a budget. It was truly a one of a kind experience and I LOVE my bag.

I loved the activity and the process. However, I was totally unprepared to be spending $850!! When I signed up I thought $326 for me and my daughter was crazy but maybe worth the splurge. Come to find out they subtract that amount from everything you pick out. They charge 90 euros for the sides, 50 euros for the top, etc...and by nickel and diming the whole bag you've now spent close to $450 per bag! And you can't get out of it or else you can't make the bag or get your original refund back. They need to make it clear when you sign up that this is an initial cost ONLY. And it will be much much more than that!!!!

The workshop was great the finished product looked stunning and the team were exceptional. Morgan and Alex were amazing and really helpful. My only improvement would perhaps be that before constructing the bag they should total up the entire cost as there were some slight extra costs for higher end materials which could really stack up. But overall it was a fantastic experience and would recommend to anyone interested in fashion, bags or the arts.
