Overview
Learn the basics of graffiti art—and put your creativity to the test when you inscribe your artworks on Paris’ walls—with this small-group, hands-on workshop. Make your own way to the venue and, with just a small group for company, learn a range of graffiti techniques, from lettering to fine lines and more. All materials are provided, and once you’re confident, you’ll decorate the city with your very own street art masterpieces.

Unleash your creativity with artist Walter as you learn the special body moves and spraying techniques of painting graffiti. We worked as a team GenZ to Baby Boomers finding joy on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend.

It would have been much better to do a smaller group or just our family. The group was too large and was mixed with English and French speaking people. It wasn’t enough individualized attention so we didn’t learn much. They would demonstrate something for two minutes and then tell us to practice for 10 minutes doing that skill. Then demonstrate something else quickly and we’d practice again. It felt like a lot of standing around. We were probably a group of about 30+ people with mixed languages and at the end, we were supposed to collectively come up with something to write on the wall which was tricky since we didn’t speak the same language. In the end, I don’t even know what we wrote- nothing meaningful to our family. I was hoping each individual group could write their own thing. Also, it was sooooo cold so I wouldn’t recommend doing this activity in the winter time as it’s outside.

The session you attended was particularly popular, with 23 participants (not 30+ as noted). While this was slightly above our usual average of 15 participants, we do mention in our activity description that this is a public workshop. For a more intimate and personalized experience, we’re always happy to organize private workshops upon request.
Our workshops are designed to be inclusive for both English and French-speaking participants. During your session, two artists were present to ensure that instructions were provided in both languages. While the group worked together on a collective mural, the artists made sure everyone received guidance and support throughout the process.
As described in the activity details, the workshop introduces several graffiti techniques, with participants practicing after each demonstration. The word to be painted is chosen collectively, which is an important part of the shared creative experience. If you would prefer to have more control over the design, a private workshop might better suit your expectations.
Lastly, the outdoor setting of this activity is a unique feature that allows participants to paint on a real wall. We understand that winter weather can be challenging, but the cold doesn’t interfere with the overall flow of the workshop. For a warmer alternative, we also offer indoor workshops on canvas in our art gallery, held on the second and third Saturdays of every month.

It was confusing and unorganized. Instructions were giving simultaneously in two different languages and then when my group misunderstood the confusing instructions, we were accused of being inconsiderate for using too much of the color that we were given.

This was a fun and unique experience. My 11 and 14 year olds loved it and said it was a highlight of our trip to Paris. I thought that it was well organized and provided a lot of interactive activity for teens. At the end of the class, the whole group works together to create an artistic mural.

this was a dope and truly rad experience! growing up as an artist in NYC, learning how to work with spray paint has been an absolute dream of mine. I really like how they structured the class, breaking it up into 3 parts as to not overwhelm you and really get the techniques of the medium down. you may not get anything to take home but the absolute dope memory of saying you did grafitti in a Paris skate park. truly a unique experience, as well as a testimony in collaboration with the group project you do at the end. also the instructor i had was incredibly well versed in his craft, as well as patient and encouraging. you could see the passion shine through. i think everyone left smiling, I know I did!

A great experience to leave a personal trace on a Parisian wall ! If you travel with kids, or in group of (adult) friends and you know all usual places in Paris - this is the thing to do. First the artists explained the basic technics with the spray cans, and we had some time to try it out. Then the whole group worked on painting the picture (letters/words which is cerainly easier to do than a real picture).

My 3 kids enjoyed themselves learning ways to create Art work on the city walls of Paris. Adrien was informative and made the graffiti class look easy. My daughter who’s 13 loved it and said it was one of her favorite activities on our family vacation to Paris.
