The walking tour was excellent. Lots of history and information about Oslo and Norway was given. The walking was easy enough without many hills or stairs. Our guide Olav was funny and entertaining while also being very knowledgeable. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

This is a terrific tour of central Oslo. Minji was knowledgeable and passionate about her chosen city. The pacing was easy, and she even worked in a rest/snack stop as well! She provided wonderful tips and ideas regarding other areas and experiences around Oslo for us to continue to explore after we parted company.

Guide did not show up. No signs anywhere. Guide claimed to have called me 10 times, no one call is on my call log

We can see that you were frustrated, but I’d like to clarify what actually happened. Both our office and the guide tried to reach you more than ten times — and unlike your phone, we have full call logs confirming this. Each time, our calls went straight to voicemail, which suggests your phone was switched off or out of coverage. The guide waited on site with a name sign for 45 minutes until we finally spoke with you, after which we released her. I must also say that your words during that call were completely unacceptable. We always aim to communicate respectfully and expect the same in return.

Absolutely not recommended. Booked because of the great reviews. The private tour covered the bare basics, but the guide was not a local and didn’t offer much beyond surface-level facts. 70% silence as we walk. She might as well be standing at a concierge desk. I was standing next to another small group - the guide was energetically sharing history. I kept prompting her at the beginning to give more background, then I gave up. I resorted to taking photo of the place and getting more information on the internet. We were hoping for more storytelling and enthusiasm to bring Oslo to life. Could be a great tour with more engagement. I’m just left extremely frustrated.

Oslo walking tour

Maria met us at our hotel in Oslo City Center. She had good information to share regarding the history of the city and Norway in general. The tour was a good overview of the city center. We had our tour on a Sunday in July and there was not a lot going on.

Great walking tour

Our tour guide, Judit, took us on a wonderful 3hr walking tour. She was very knowledgeable of the history, buildings and the people of Oslo. She kept her speed to ours as we had a few in our group that walk a bit slower. We did a big circle of the city hitting all the highlights. She also gave us food and museum recommendations. I would definitely do another tour with Judit. Beware of the bicyclists, they are crazy.
