My teen and I had a great time on this bike tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a lot of things to tell us about each stop. Oslo is such a bike friendly City, it was a great way to see the city.
Response from Host, Sep 2024
Hello and thank you for leaving this review of your Authentic Oslo bike tour -- an excellent way to get away from the city's main tourist attractions and instead discover some of it's hidden gems. It is great to hear that both you and your teenager had a fantastic time. We try to cover a range of topics on tour so that there is something for everyone; a bit of history, politics, food, art, culture and more! From all of us here at Viking Biking we thank you for joining us and we hope that you enjoyed the rest of your time in Oslo! Kind regards, Jon and the Viking Biking Team.

Having seen the major sights it was great to see where/how ordinary people live in Oslo; still very beautiful by the river. Fabulous commentary by M

Stine and Astrid were awesome. We had a great time biking around, learning about Oslo and seeing sites from a unique point of view. I highly recommend Viking Biking and Hiking as a great way to see this amazing city.

Josh was amazing - so knowledgeable and intelligent insight into Oslo, history and culture. He really showed us the real Oslo.
Astrid was also really insightful and helpful on the ride. Both outstanding guides.

Fantastic tour with charismatic tour guides who displayed their vast local knowledge of Norway. Nothing was too much trouble and the tour was a lot of fun. It was great to see some of the lesser known but very interesting places in Oslo.

Freddy was the best, had a great ride. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Off the tourist beaten path and through old town, river path and waterfalls.
Response from Host, Aug 2023
Hi there, this is Freddy. Just want to say thank you for your kind words. We at Viking Biking are always glad to know that our guest had the best experience possible. Our guide “Cat” was superb. Told us interesting facts and stories about Oslo. We discovered verious neighborhoods. The tour waa simply great for all of us (family including teenagers).
Jason_H, Jul 2022
Fantastic tour. Our guide was perfect and we went at a relaxed pace. Gave us a view of the city you won’t see on the standard tours.
Response from Host, Jul 2022
Thank you Jason for choosing a private bike tour with Viking Biking & Hiking. The Authentic Oslo Bike Tour does exactly what you described: gives a view of the city you won't see on standard tours. It is one of the reasons we love guiding that tour :-)
Mark G, Aug 2019
To see all the tourist sights at a gentle pace with detailed and insightful guides is a great tour. However they went beyond my expectations and went to a number of places that are not on the standard list and combined it with history, food information and entertainment hot spots. Shane our Irish guide was outstanding in his depth of knowledge and enthusiasm and abundant knowledge.
Response from Host, Aug 2019
Thank you Mark for the nice review and I will be sure to pass along your kind words to Shane, your guide. I know that his favorite tour to guide is the one you took with him, so he really does have a passion and enthusiasm for that route, which shows a more off the beaten path side of Oslo.
Best regards,
Curtis

Firstly the service was excellent!! I turned up late and Chris had to run out on the street to find me. He rode me to the tour to catch up. The tour lady was lovely and a great bubbly personality, sorry can not remember her name. The bike was great it has a bottle holder and a carrier basket at the back to hold your bag. We stop for a quick bite to eat at a small market. I recommend the ice cream shop just as you walk in the man is friendly and filled up my water bottle for me, plus he makes a great milkshake. Good way to get to know the streets of Oslo they you may not see or explore. You get provided a helmet but they are not compulsory yet in Norway and the riding is at a slow pace so I ended up taking mine off as it was a extremely hot day. For the price for a 3 hour experience it is excellent. This tour takes you to some traditional history of Oslo. The tour guide gives you good tips on where to eat and drink at reasonable prices so good to know if you are spending more days in Oslo. Will use this company again for another tour without hesitation.

Thank you for the very nice review, and we are glad you that received great customer service in the shop from Christian and that you enjoyed the tour. We appreciate the recommendation for using our services!

We really liked the tour. It was a great mix of biking, information and sightseeing. The two guides were very friendly. We highly recommend.

The trail along the Akerselva River in Oslo is the best way to enjoy Oslo if you enjoy the outdoors! The trail passes by artsy and historical areas that you might want to visit again on foot. One of the highlights was the "foodie court" that we stop at the offers a wide variety of ethnic and Norwegian foods in a quant setting. Our guide provided a wealth of information on each of the areas we passed. It was a fantastic way to spend a morning in this beautiful city. The bikes they provided were great and it is a good tour for all fitness levels. It rained a little on our tour so I recommend that you bring rain gear.

This was amazing. The tour guide also the owner, Curt, was excellent. He's knowledgeable, fun, and super nice. Totally recommended!

We loved this tour. Our guide was very organised, friendly and experienced. He knew his city very well and timed the trip so we moved along but had time to take photos and ask questions. He was interesting and knowledgeable about the history. We saw a different side to Oslo. The bicycles were a good quality with working gears that were clearly explained and made the few hills easy to negotiate. Our guide made us fall in love with Oslo....highly recommend this tour.
Steven J, Aug 2017
Oslo is a beautiful city and touring by bike was a fun and easy way to see the sights. Great food stop along the way, and our guide Lena was so friendly and informative. Only one tough, short hill on the ride, but I made it to the top without walking! Which she said had never been done, but I think she was just kidding me!
Victor W, Jun 2017
We did this tour with another couple and had a great time! Tuba was our guide and she was awesome and very knowledgeable about all the places we saw and gave us time for photo ops. There were a couple of hills that were a little hard to do, but we were able to do them with a little work. There was one though that was too hard to do and most everyone ended up walking their bikes but the waterfall at the top of the hill was well worth it. I highly recommend this tour for any new visitors in Oslo that want to get a head start on places to see and enjoy doing it while riding bikes through this awesome city. Some of the pictures we took are attached.

One of the best tours I've ever been on. Curtis was an extremely knowledgable and fun guide. The views are spectacular, and the physical demand is more than manageable. Highly recommended!
Sydney H, Sep 2016
This tour was a lot of fun. Small numbers meant it was easy to get to know the other people in the group, and allowed the guide to accommodate everyone without compromising the tour itself. Josh was very funny and had a wonderful personality that made the tour even better.
PikShan_C, Aug 2016
Very nice tour girl. Can feel that she loves her job. She is enthusiastic, initiative to introduce all tour friendly places and shopping centers, and she will not focus on those crowd places with all visitors.
Unfortunately my cycling technique is not good, and she is patient to wait for me.
For sure will join again if i visit Oslo in future.
Anika D, Aug 2016
Great tour through the city! I had already explored a few of the areas on my own, but on the tour, I was introduced to new things I hadn't noticed previously. This was a highlight of my trip to Oslo. Highly recommend!
Charles R, Jul 2016
Was not able to participate. THe Ship arrived to late by one hour. My fault for booking. Also, I tried to find a CIti orChase bank as I was robed in Copenhagen.
Anne C, Jul 2016
Curtis showed us Oslo easily, was helpful on some of the inclines. I saw more than I would have otherwise. I did a back to back tour and survived as a senior who hadn't been on a bike for in many years. Was the highlight of my stay.
Sean B, Jun 2016
Great tour... we did the river and city tours on back-to-back days. The city tour has more to show and hence a more talkative guide, but the river tour was far more relaxed and gave a much better vibe of the city. Would recommend them both, but the river tour was definitely more enjoyable overall.

Adorei!
Demos uma volta diferente e adaptada, pois incluímos um pedicap para minha filha.
