We had a tour with Tim yesterday and it was great. I was a bit nervous of riding in the road but felt very safe with Tim. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Was a great morning, thoroughly enjoyed it and thoroughly recommend it.

This is a hard place to find if you are unfamiliar with Oslo. A friendly man on the street helped us when our taxi driver left us with no bike shop in sight. Indy was a wonderful host for our Oslo ride. We loved the E bikes - they worked so well! Hills were not a challenge. We saw lots of popular sites in Oslo and even pedaled along the river. Bike lanes help but there were times when we jostled next to pedestrians and hoped not to hit them and narrow spots due to construction with narrow turns. Overall a wonderful experience!!!!

Idra was very fun and friendly. We saw several different parts of Oslo. The sculpture garden is incredible. The ride along the River was so fun! We went inside the opera house and also the library. She was flexible on time spent in each place.

Nice e-bike tour of Oslo. Bikes were in good condition, and were able to see the highlights on this tour.

We had Erika as our guide! She was super patient and kind with my group! She showed us so many beautiful places and gave us time to explore. Would definitely recommend! Thank you!

I booked The Grand Oslo Ride: E Bike Experience for July 4th, 2026, with a 5:30 PM departure. Wanting to confirm the exact meeting point at Fredensborgveien 22F, 0177 Oslo, Norway, I called the contact number listed on the ticket starting at 4:03 PM. I kept trying, on and off, right up until 5:30 PM, and no one ever answered.
We still made our way to the listed location and arrived around 5:25 PM, ahead of the departure time. There was no guide, no staff, and no indication that anyone from the tour operator had been there. We waited, but no one showed up.
I've been booking tours through Viator for many years and have generally had good experiences, which is what makes this so disappointing. This wasn't a minor hiccup — we had zero communication from the operator despite repeated attempts to reach them, and we were left standing at a meeting point with no tour, no explanation, and no way to reach anyone. We paid for a service we never received.
I'd strongly caution others before booking this particular tour and would encourage Viator to look into how this operator handles customer communication.

Our group was 20 people which was way too many for this activity. The group was constantly getting split up by traffic and lights.
The sites were enjoyable but many were so close that they could be done by a walking tour rather than by bike.
The bikes were good.

We went to all the places that were listed on the itinerary. My bike was fine, although the brakes needed some work. There was some disorganization with assigning bikes to everyone - like they didn't know what sizes they needed and they only had just enough. My biggest problem was that I didn't feel safe. Not all the tour operator's fault. It was world cup game day and there were lots of people downtown. Lots of construction too. BUT, there were places we should have walked. We should have been wearing vests so we could be seen. (Like "I'm a tourist and don't get mad at me.") The guides did not have any vests or colourful helmets so it was hard to see them and sometimes they went ahead without the rest of the group who were stuck at a light. We all managed to make it, but it was kind of scary at times. I also felt like the information they gave us could have been found in any guide book, which is ok, but a few interesting stories or personal experiences would have been more ...interesting. All in all, we got what we paid for, but I should have lowered my expectations. I've been on many bike tours. Too many people for the streets (2 groups of 10 instead of 1 group of 20 with 2 guides??), lack of safety instructions or directions and kind of boring. Having said that, the guides were very nice and I hope this helps with future tours.

Great tour, wonderful way to see the highlights of Oslo. The Ebikes certainly power you up some of the hills. Well maintained equipment.

It was just the two of us for this e-bike trip. The location is a 20 minute walk from central Oslo and somewhat uphill. The bikes were checked to make sure they fitted and I needed an extra low one so that got sorted out. Our young Spanish guide is an ex-nurse who has settled in Oslo and he showed us such a lot as we pedalled/zoomed around the city. It was especially good to get to places like the sculpture park which are in areas beyond the centre. We had enough stops to have a look at places and the pace was perfect. I highly recommend having a look at the new library which is also a useful bathroom break. We ended up a more vibrant and authentic part of the city which we stayed around in afterwards to browse the vintage shops.
On this tour you will see all the key sights of the city and then some. Also helped me with e-biking confidence as the traffic in Oslo is light and cars etc are forgiving.

Fransisco was a wonderful, personable and knowledgeable guide. He went above and beyond—highly recommend!

Nice ride thru town. Major city but very few cars which made the ride nice. You can take other tours but the e-bike lets you see neighborhoods you won't see on a bus. Location was easy to find with google maps. Guide was knowledgable and pleasant.

THIS WAS A SCAM!! We showed up the the correct address. The buzzer had the tour name and everything. Nobody answered the doorbell. No one answered our messages. No one answered our call. We waited 30 minutes and nothing. DO NOT BOOK. TOTAL SCAM
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Hi Sam. We did ve a tour but you arrived late. We can show you both photos and when our guide was there at our office.
Apologize if we werent there after you showed up .

Fun time biking around Oslo. We don't bike much so after 3 hours we were sore but not bad. Tiny seats didn't help.
Jeffrey_D, Jun 2026
Great way to explore Oslo. Staff was awsome. Have been to Oslo before, but still learned a few things about the city.
Valerie_C, May 2026
I thoroughly enjoyed my bike ride through the city. I wouldn’t dare do it myself unless I memorised a map. I saw so many different areas of the city. My guide was lovely too. I was the only person on the tour so it was a little customized and I was able to take as much time as I wanted at sights. I really liked Vigeland Park and its sculptures. She was informative about everything.

Concise tour of high points of Oslo, visit to parks is exceptional;
Tour guide Karen was sweet and very informative.

No show on time selected wasted afternoon: spoke to OsloTours who agreed will do it again tomorrow at 10:30am: arrived again at 10:30 again no show: phoned again and was told its supposed to be 2:30 no that is not what was arranged with OlsonTours direct to avoid bad review!!!

We spent a Sunday morning with Indi for our E-bike tour. She was very friendly and accommodating. It’s a great way to see the city and particularly get to Vigeland Park since it’s a good distance away from the main part of Oslo.

What a fun tour! Our guide Tim was so good too…..such a personable and highly engaging young man. He looked out for our safety throughout the tour and we both came away knowing much more about the landmarks we visited than before. He also went above and beyond sharing additional information as to sites to see on our return walk back to our ship. The bikes were amazing too - comfortable, easy to ride and the pedal assist made the ride more than manageable, almost to a fault. In total, we cycled just over 8 miles. Great day overall!
Mohsen_E, Apr 2026
No body was in their office . No body answer phone call . 2 hours waiting in front of their office . No any note in advance . I never seen such a tour company . They destroyed one day of my trip in Oslo .
Emily_P, Apr 2026
A wonderful way to see Oslo best sights and the city. Our guide Tim was absolutely outstanding in guiding us, keeping us safe and managed the pacing just right with enough time for sightseeing stops, photos and bathroom breaks. Very pleased with our ride! Thank you Tim!!

Pending review which I will leave As a copy on both 😞
The city tour itself was “okay.” The young man/guide was very pleasant, but we had very limited information throughout the tour, with very few stops. We regularly do city tours on holiday and they are often the highlight, but this one lacked depth. We would have preferred much more historical, cultural, and general storytelling about the city.
On a positive note, the city felt very safe, and the roads and cycling infrastructure were excellent.
However, my main reason for the low rating is the booking and management experience. I initially booked while on a train but did not receive confirmation and could not see the booking when I checked later, so I assumed it had not gone through. I believed I had selected the wrong date (Friday instead of Saturday), so I rebooked for Saturday. The second booking appeared on the system shortly after.
I then received a phone call from the company to confirm the Saturday booking, and at that time I clearly stated I was booked for 10:30 on Saturday. At no point during this call did they mention I had two bookings or question it, even though they clearly had visibility of both.
Later, I was asked for a review and it emerged I had created two bookings using two separate accounts. I explained the situation and was told by Viator that a refund could be issued if the operator agreed to waive commissions and charges. Despite this, only around a 25% refund was provided.
I contacted the company several times afterwards. The owner repeatedly said he would look into it but did not return calls or follow through, and the issue was not resolved. Given that this was a significant amount of money, and that there was an opportunity to clarify the duplicate booking during the initial call, I feel the outcome was unfair, especially as we still paid for and attended the tour.

Great way to see Oslo, but recommend wearing a helmet. It is a city tour so next to cars but definitely think it is a wonderful tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and super friendly.
Jennifer_s, Sep 2025
Horrible! We arrived 20 minutes early as required. However, we left 10 minutes late and rode around the city for no more than 40 minutes instead of for 1.5 hours. Our guide was super stressed out from the moment we arrived and only shared a few facts about the city. When she brought us back to the office 40 minutes early, we complained and she told us that she was misinformed about the duration of the tour and that we would have to call the owner directly for a refund. Complained to Viator and they refused a refund. I don’t understand why. Really unfair.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hi Jennifer. Your tour last the amount of time we set up for it. We ve 2 types of tours a 3 hour and 1,5 hour , this includes getting to know how the bike works and leaving the equipment back ( 10 mins each process).
We understand 1 hour and 10 mins wasnt enough sightseeing for you but our guide did her work and she has always been polite and just let you know she was there to guide not to mediate about a refund.
Viator called us, we xplained the process and they decided you were not entitled for a refund as the product was delivered.
Apologize you didnt enjoy that 1 hour and 10 mins.
Cathi_J, Sep 2025
A great way to cover lots of sights and see the popular tourist attractions. Our guide Lisa was very knowledgable and we felt very comfortable in the city.
Carrie_D, Sep 2025
Bring a small water there are no stops to accommodate a refresh, even using the toilet is not convenient. Stops are short, so your actual time learning is limited. The guide was great but I believe other tours may be more informative.
