Amazing North Cape trip

The trip was wonderful for the views and variety of scenery seen. We were blessed with amazing weather and amazing visibility so at the North Cape we saw all the surrounding mountains and coastal views. The stop at the northernmost fishing village was lovely as was the stop at the Sami camp. We would have liked a bit more information on the trip before setting off as to how long the trip would be before arriving at the North Cape. There could also have been more information on toilet stops before setting off. Some of our fellow passengers were not aware that there were no refreshments at the top unless you pay to enter the North Cape hall. Again this could be specified before travel so passengers know in advance. Ultimately we had an amazing trip and took lots of wonderful photos.

Nice coach tour up to North Cape with a few stops along the way. We had nice weather. Driver/Guide (Marius) was friendly and charming. Dress warmly regardless of time of year….it can be windy/chilly at North Cape. Highly recommended.

I booked the tour for 12pm. The tour guide sent a message through Viator that they made a mistake and the tour would actually leave at 11:15am. I did not see that message. On the day off the tour, I got a call from the guide at 11:15am stating they were about to leave. My wife and I left our ship as quickly as we could, but missed the bus. I explained to the tour operator that my paperwork said 12pm and the Viator website also said 12pm for the tour, but he refused to give a full or even a partial refund. Just be aware that if you choose this provider, times may change on you and you will have to actively search to verify if the time you scheduled is still valid.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you missed the tour. Unfortunately, the only way we are able to communicate with Viator customers before the tour is through the Viator messaging platform. We do not have access to customers’ email addresses or phone numbers before the day of the tour. We only receive the phone number on the day of the tour, which is why we called you as soon as we realized you had not arrived. In this case, Viator had unfortunately sold tickets for a departure that did not exist. As soon as we became aware of the issue, we sent two separate messages through the Viator inbox informing all affected guests of the correct departure time. We also contacted Viator and asked them to correct the departure time shown on the booking, but they were unable or unwilling to update it. Unfortunately, there was nothing more we could do from our side. We completely understand how frustrating this situation was, and we regret that you did not see the messages. However, since the Viator messaging system is the only communication channel available to us before the day of the tour, we had no other way of reaching you. We appreciate your understanding and are sorry that this issue, which was outside of our control, prevented you from joining the tour.

The tour is designed as a mostly self-guided, guide-free shuttle experience, focusing on the Arctic scenery rather than live commentary on board. We also apologize if the weather conditions affected your experience, as Arctic weather can be challenging and unpredictable. Clear instructions are always provided regarding stops and timing, and we regret if this was not clear during your trip.
