Enjoy a sightseeing cruise on the calm waters of the Oslo Fjord (or Oslofjord) for a relaxed way to see the city from a vantage point on the water. As you sail through the fjord, listen to onboard commentary that shares insight into Oslo’s history and the surrounding natural landscape. With multiple departure times available throughout the day, it’s easy to fit this cruise into your sightseeing plans.

Explore two or three beautiful islands (depending on the season) scattered throughout Oslo’s fjords on a small-group island-hopping tour on foot and by ferry. Visit local villages, sea cliffs, historic sites, forests, and hidden beaches. Be sure to bring a swimsuit and towel to enjoy an invigorating dip in the Oslo Fjord. Stop for a scenic picnic in summer (bring your own), or hot drinks in winter.

The best way to see Oslo? From above it. On this guided hike, you’ll take a scenic train ride to Frognerseteren, making your way to the top of Vettakollen Mountain. Slowly scale up the gentle slopes of the mountain through forest and past small lakes, stopping at DNT Fuglemyrhytta cabin before reaching the summit overlooking the Oslofjord. The 5.4-kilometer route includes a final stroll through Nordmarka before returning to the city.

Learn something new—and explore the arctic landscape in a more active way than many other tours—on this small-group cross-country ski experience in Oslo, designed for beginners and those keen to sharpen their skiing skills. Our 2-hour daytime Top of Oslo Tour takes us through the romantic “Kittelsen” forests to a surprising and spectacular view over Oslo. When the weather is clear, you can hardly believe you were just in the city. We stop at the viewpoint where guests will rest with a warm drink. This tour runs from 10:00-16:00.

This activity gives travelers a real taste of Norwegian winter life, not just another sightseeing tour. Instead of staying in the city, guests step into peaceful forest nature and enjoy a warm bonfire by a lake, just a short ride from central Oslo. Led by our in-house Olympian and ex-Biathlete, Andrea Imbsen, this 2-hour experience combines a cross-country ski lesson with a short trip around Øvresetertjern (lake) at the top of Holmenkollen. We enjoy approximately 75-minutes on cross-country skis over the rolling terrain followed by experiencing Scandinavian “Kos” at a pre-made fire pit with a warm drink.
