Great tour with some history and ghost hunting for newbies

Shawn_M, Dec 2022
Gina was a really great host. While we had fun on the tour, we felt that it tried to accomplish too much in too little time. The ghost hunt portion at the end only used some basic gear like dowsing rods and EMF meters. The French quarter tour was nice but didn’t include a few stories that I thought might have fit the theme of the night well. Comparing this event to some other tours/ghost hunts I went on, I felt that it would’ve served itself to try to do one or the other. That being said, if you’re looking for a little bit of both, it’s recommended!

Response from Host, Feb 2023

Hi People travel with so many things they try to squeeze in I offer combos but We offer them separate too - all ghost hunting inside one location is the midnight ghost hunt 10;30-12:30 with way more equipment or all tour by foot or van for the history part or even the big 3.5 ghost town tour van that does it all and adds cemetery too. We have private ghost hunts as well, I am only company that makes sure we are the only one inside buildings with the spirits when we do ghost hunts too! call next time and I'll steer you to the right one!

Memorable interactive experience

It was a great experience with a nice ending at the Haunted Museum. Got to ask questions to the resident ghosts! Too bad we didn't pass by a cemetery, but I'm glad our group was small and our guide Gina was knowledgeable and friendly.

Interesting but wouldn't do again

Angelica_R, May 2022
The pace was very fast. We had to almost run to keep up. Interesting and creepy stories. A bit confusing at the meeting place as the business had no idea if we were in the right place.

Response from Host, May 2022

So sorry it was too fast for you! The meeting place is inside a very old haunted bar that is a historic landmark and can be very crowded , That anmd so many new employees might not know but we met the walking tours there for 18 years. We meet in courtyard patio section and call out your name or text you at the spot. make sure you come visit us at out shop and haunted museum next time for free just call me direct, i'm the curator and author Bloody Mary 504-915-7774

A Cut Above the Rest!

JoAnn_C, Dec 2021
While in New Orleans we wanted to do a fun ghost tour as our 14-year-old loves spooky stuff! Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job of not just sharing the lore - but the truth of what was likely behind the lore. What sets this experience apart was the ghost hunt at the end at Bloody Mary’s haunted museum. People could use their own equipment if they brought any or they could use a variety of materials provided by the tour company. We were able to interact with the “regulars” that hang out in the building. It was very interesting and we would totally do it again!

Fabulous. Would recommend.

Our tour guide was awesome. Very informative. We were the only 2 on the tour, so we got very personal attention. The ghost hunting was fun.

We had high hopes for this tour, but it fell short. The walking tour portion was more power walking than it was hearing any haunted history. The paranormal part was thrown at you without any explanation of what you were doing or what different readings meant. Save your money.

Response from Host, Oct 2021

I am sorry you feel you missed out on parts of the tour. This is 1/2 walking and 1/2 ghost hunting. We give out hand held equipment and have table top devices set up in museum. The meters readings are to detect a change in the atmosphere they are not numbered readings to explain but triggered more by showing increased lights that could change depending on where you are drawn and energy fluctuations and paranormal activity. Ghosts may or may not pop up and not to everyone at same time. There is a basic explanation at beginning of every ghost hunt on what the equipment is and how to use before we hand it out. Rods, K2, rempods, static meters, boo bear, apps, ovulus etc... Now i do know that a few people go outsise for smoke breaks or texting and recently 1 person missed a whole story and beginning of hunt by texting! ( i am not sure if this was you or not) But We are now informing everyone to keep cell phones at bay- off! and stay with the group so they won't miss anything. We do offer detail stories and history of buildings and experiences at each stop on the outside tour section and usually do not power walk? I will remind our guides to try to pace up with the guests! I am also sorry you feel there was not enough history but we try to keep it balanced with 1/2 supernatural history and 1/2 hands on experience, WE are also the ONLY company in town that lets you go inside a 200 year old haunted building to do a ghost hunt in the dark- psychic, natural or w equipment use. This is also why this tour is suppose to be a sober tour for safety. i am confused becuase i know We do so these things you complain about - histry and equipment use is on every single tour. It seems odd you do not recall the Madame Lalaurie story , history of Jean lafitte the pirate, Julie, executions, plagues of historic times...? I do have those night vision ghost cameras set up for the paranormal, but i do monitor the tours and guests too. I will check more from now on to make sure everything is in compliance on our end. We have done this for decades and with many of the same professional ghost hunters. psychics and expert guides but i will refresh them all to insure a good experience! There is a free musuem tour wih all my tours with a detailed app you are offfered which is a talking book, filled with history and evidence. There is also a geo tour scavenger hunt style you can also do within it. SOme people do not download it or even come to do their free self guided musuem w that app! So if you a missed that option call and i can code you into it to download for free! 504-915-7774

Don’t do it! Not worth the money

Joan_C, Oct 2021
The person who did the tour seemed bored and was glad it was over. I thought we would have done more.

Response from Host, Oct 2021

Im sorry you got that feelling from her? this seems to be the first tour night after Hurricane Ida - it had been a month so maybe she was rusty or it was running late into the later tour. I do not know, but sorry. If you would have called direct or come back to museum for the museum portion i could have tried to make you feel fullfilled but you should call me to get the APP info to hear my version of it all- its a talking book and i can give you the codes so its free- it has ghost stories history evidence and more 504-915-7774 thanks Bloody Mary

Very cooperative and flexible

Denice_D, Aug 2021
We actually ended up not completing the tour because of Hurricane Ida and the curfews put in place, however, the host was very cooperative and flexible and attempted to make the most out of the situation. I appreciated that and wanted to give a positive review for our experience. There was a guy at the museum that wasn't so friendly but I know it was a stressful time. I definitely will try to do the tour again next time I am in New Orleans.
