This tour is exclusive city sightseeing tour of Mumbai for the travellers coming on a cruise to Mumbai. Your guide will be at the exit gate of the port, which is known as the Green gate. When you come out of the cruise, there will be a free shuttle bus, which will drop you at the exit gate or Green gate. Guide will be holding a name plate of your name, so you can recognise him easily.

We'd booked the Mumbai tour for cruide travellers, which actually, for us, turned out to be a private tour (just the two of us and two friends). Probably explains the quite high price.
We did have to kill a bit of time at first as our tour guides were finishing up a morning tour and so started a little late, but to be fair, the tour duration went on longer than the intended 3 hours, to 4 hours plus. A lot of this was due to the really heavy traffic in Mumbai which obviously slows everything down. We visited, central station (very interesting), a city centre market, Ghandi's home (Mani Bhavan), Marine Drive, the open air laundry (Dhobi Ghaat) and the Gateway to India (viewed from outside the fence). Never felt rushed, our guide and assistant, both university students were friendly and helpful, just lacked a bit in terms of information and confidence, and were possibly still learning the ropes.
Anyway, an enjoyable way to spend 4 hours plus, just be aware that you'll sit in a lot of traffic between attractions. The water and sweets provided were most welcome.
Another thing, and this seems common with most tours now, is that you will be ambushed a a bit to buy stuff. We were taken into a fabric shop when visting the market and also a souvenir shop near the Gateway to India. Although we were told that this was due to them allowing us to park there.

Very good overview of Mumbai highlights with good guide and driver who were very knowledgeable and spoke good English.
Transport was acceptable in a 6 seater suv.

Pick up arrangements require patience! Our Guide spoke only limited English & wasn't able to provide much detail on where he took us. Drop off points were all covered. No water provided.

Unfortunately I only saw less than half of the sights listed in the itinerary. Very disappointing and a waste of ti.me and money
My booking was based on the detailed itinerary which looked good. But our guide made his own itinerary and that was not good. The guide was friendly but spoke more about himself than Mumbai

On the day of your tour, we experienced an exceptionally high volume of guests due to the arrival of multiple cruise ships in Mumbai. While this is no excuse for the service you received, it does present significant logistical challenges. Typically, our tours are intimate and tailored, especially for our guests staying in hotels. However, the influx of 2000 to 3000 passengers from cruise ships necessitates adjusting our normal operations, which sometimes results in larger groups and limited resources, including the availability of trained, fluent English-speaking guides.
This situation led to you being paired with a driver rather than a tour guide, which clearly impacted your experience negatively. We understand the importance of having a knowledgeable guide who can communicate effectively and enhance the tour with insights into our vibrant city. It's evident that we fell short in providing this, and for that, we are genuinely sorry.
Please rest assured that we are taking your feedback seriously and are looking into ways to better manage such days when there are large numbers of cruise ship passengers. Our aim is to ensure that all our guests, regardless of how busy our schedule is, receive the quality experience that Magical Mumbai Tours is known for.

Our experience from the time we were picked up till we were dropped off was the best we experienced during our entire journey. The tour guide and the driver were cordial, pleasant and friendly. The tour guide Neha was knowledgeable and made us feel safe as we visited the many sites in nuzzling Mumbai. I have no hesitation in recommending Neha and magical Mumbai tours

This was a very good tour, we really enjoyed it. The female guide, Joya was very good. The only downside was that we didn’t receive our tickets so it was a bit fraught at the port trying to find the operator that Viator had book us with.

This was listed as a private tour, I signed up with my travel buddy. It did not turn out that way. An unknown couple was added to make 4 persons in the group when we arrived at the pick up location. Our tour guide told us she was a college student and this was the 2nd tour she was leading She had absolutely no commentary. To learn anything about the places we stopped at we had to continually ask questions. We stopped at 3 stores we were not interested in goods offered - we had to ask to leave. Poor tour.

Sahil was an excellent guide. He had a driver with him so we had Sahil’s complete undivided attention. His knowledge was extensive and he was extremely flexible and attuned to our needs.

the last minute bate and switch from private tour with guide and driver to a old city bus with no PA system and 15 other couples. Tour was to start at 9AM, we waited till 1040am so other couples could be added. It was to be a 4 hr tour and at 4PM the guide said we still had another 2 hours to go. WE booked and paid for a private tour in Aug. due to my limited mobility issues and paid more for that than a group bus tour. The tour company claimed they had to use a bus because they did not have enough tour guides which is no excuse and they did not notify anyone in advance

It seems there was a mix-up regarding the notification about the change in the tour arrangement. We messaged each and every traveller about the change 5 days ago of the travel date. Also gave them an option to cancel, if don't want to proceed with the small group booking. We're genuinely sorry for any inconvenience caused by the switch to a group bus tour. Our intent was to accommodate all guests due to the increased number of travellers. We apologise for not meeting your expectations and for any discomfort caused, especially considering your mobility issues. Also I would to clarify that there were not 15 couples in the bus, there were 14 travellers (7 couples). Your feedback will help us improve our communication for better service in the future.

The Elephants Cave was a very interesting experience and the city tour also provided a good snapshot of Mumbai. The cave tour could have been a little shorter and the train shuttle would have been a good option on the island. More time for a lunch or snack break would also have been an improvement.

Really interesting day excursion of Mumbai including the slum area. Our guide Chirag was an excellent companion throughout the day. His English was very good and he had a great deal of information for us at every stop. Driver Nassir also did a good job negotiating the Mumbai traffic and parking nearby at every location.

We had a great trip in Mumbai with Magical Mumbai Tours. The city is very in your face but it’s so very interesting. The markets were great to visit. Definitely a highlight. The Hanging Gardens could have been given a miss as it felt like we were stuck in traffic to see a fairly dilapidated garden. I appreciated that that they may be more relevant to the Indian people but I feel there were probably more interesting things to see. The slum tour, whilst abbreviated, were very interesting as well and well delivered.

The skyline of Mumbai is impressive. The guide also took us to Gandhi house, which we really enjoyed. The Gateway to India was very impressive. The guide was also the driver but managed very well. We were picked up and returned on time.

Our tour guide works for Magical Mumbai Tours and was wonderful at showing us the highlights of Mumbai. Since we had seen much of the city on a pervious visit, he connected us with another guide who leads tours of the Dharavi Slum and we spent two hours with him in the slum. Both guides were wonderful and gave us insight into the working of Dharavi since they live there. What a wonderful gift to spend time with these bright and hard working young men.

Although this trip had the potential to be really good and afforded us the chance to see so much in the city, it was spoiled by the very pushy guide that we had, Raj. We had made it clear at the start that we did not want to extend the tour to visit the the Dharavi slums, the spice market or the many shops that he obviously was getting a commission from, however he took us there anyway. He accompanied us into the Taj Mahal Hotel where we went for a drink and proceeded to spoil it by telling us about all the family members he had to support financially and that he would receive no payment from the tour company. At the end of the trip we went to give him a tip of 25 and he started arguing that we should be paying him at least double that because he had taken us to all the extra places. Suffice to say the trip did not end on the best of terms

We all absolutely loved this tour. Our guides Shail and Sunny and our driver Nasir were just amazing. Very knowledgable, we learned so much and felt very safe on the tour and during our drive around the city. We would love to go back to Mumbai and would have no hesitation in requesting all these young men again for our future tours. Thank you again.

6 of us did this tour from a cruise ship. It was excellent, the city tour was interesting and we saw all the major sites but the highlight was the Slums tour. Sam our tour guide was exceptional he was knowledgeable, shared stories and had a great sense of humour. The Slums tour was so interesting, learning how the people are so industrious in their recycling businesses was eye opening. The only suggestion we have is, the tour would of been even better if Sam could of been in our van as we traveled through the city.
