Overview

Get away from the city for a day with a private tour to Lonavala, a verdant hill station not far from Mumbai. Your driver will pick you up at your hotel or residence and take you out to the hill station, with stops along the way to visit the ancient rock temples at the Karla and Bhaja Caves. You'll then head up to Lonavala to take in the views and fresh air before returning to Mumbai.

Trip to the country side was very interesting and comfortable. Seeing the caves and the temple was very special. If you expect extensive historical explanations you might miss it, but overall a good authentic experience.

Lonavala is a beautiful...

Lonavala is a beautiful town. It took about 2 ~ 2.5 hours to get there and is totally worthwhile. Mr. Hardik was very knowledgeable and professional. The caves are indeed very special in its own way especially the sculptures on the pillars. The surrounding areas are serene and beautiful. The tour ends at Lion point with spectacular views. It is a trip i’ll never forget.

Getting out of the city for the day was great! Our guide (Kamlesh) was excellent, and answered all the questions we had. I really enjoyed seeing the more remote parts, and learning about the various aspects - including the Chikees factory :) The lunch was excellent!

Great Time

This was a great way to get out of the city and see some historic sites. I actually did not leave out of Mumbai and the tour company was great in working with me and making different arrangements out of Pune. It was raining pretty hard that day and so some roads were washed out and we could get to the hill station so I guess I will have to do the tour again! There is a lot of steps to climb to get to some of the attractions so be prepared for that.
