    Steven was such a good guide. So knowledgeable on all the flora and fauna! Wear hiking boots since the pathway is muddy and slick.

    The guide stood me up. I waited for an hour and finally reached out to viator customer service. I received a full refund but was very disappointed. I do not recommend using this vendor for a tour as I read through other reviews once I had my poor experience and realized I'm not the first and likely not the last to be stood up. Doing waste your time and money with this vendor. This location one you can check out without a guide.

    We extend our apologies with your situation, our guide couldn’t show up, the refund was immediately processed. Also we will no longer accept reservations for only one person, minimum required is 2 people

    The guide was not that personable. Luck of the draw I guess. He and another guy in the tour were dead set on spotting a quetzel. Which is the main bird to see out here I get. But me and my friends felt like afterthoughts. The guide was good at placing the scope on some exotic creatures like the monkeys and other birds. Allowed us to get some cool pics. Definitely wouldn’t have seen much without him. But walking away from it I felt bland.

    Viator stood me up

    Viator ditched me. My tour person didn’t show. When I called he said Viator had sent him a cancellation. What happened is my credit card was compromised so I cancelled it between the time I made a reservation and payment. Viator cancelled my reservation and told me to rebook. I did so whit a good credit card. But the guide said he didn’t get that. Call me to work out a credit.

    Whilst ultimately the tour was very good and the cloud forest and guide were amazing and knowledgeable the overall experience wasn't great. No where in the description in this tour does it state too make your tour run on time that you would have to turn up to the ticketing office early and get into thr most disorganised ticket purchasing system I have ever encountered. It wasn't clear that we would actually need to buy our ticket and our guide was late and it wasn't clear who it was. We found another couple on the same tour who had run into the same problem. So my advice before booking this tour is understand that you need to arrive at the ticketing office early, put your name down to get into a queue to get tickets, which in the morning took 45minutes extra because none of this was clear and ultimately 45mins off our tour time.

    Thank for you recommendations, in addition to comment, during the high season is good to buy the tickets with at least two days of anticipation thru the official website of the cloud forest reserve Pura vida

    Cloud forest is beautiful. Very crowded. Hiked afterwards on our own to continental divide. Much quieter and amazing views.

    Guide didn't show but we were rescued

    Our guide was a no-show. THANKFULLY a guide was hanging out at the entrance with no guests and communicated with our missing guide on our behalf. (I had no response from them when I attempted via viator). He absorbed his duty and pre-paid price. We are thankful to Juan Carlos for saving us and finding our resplendent quetzal!! There's no way we would have been so successful without a guide so I most definitely recommend one. Just not this one.

    Our guide Raul was excellent, he is a very knowledgeable biologist, very caring about all life in nature. He found many amazing animals, birds, insects. It was clear that all other guides treated him with respect and asked for guidance. It wasn’t about how far we walked, it was about where the animals were. Yes I would recommend

    Dani was super friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell that he is very passionate about nature and the area. We saw a lot of animals, birds especially, and our guide helped us make the best pictures. Would definitely recommend!

    Better off walking through the cloud forest on your own. People doing that saw more animals and were able to do it at a better pace. Group was too big as well.

    Pas de guide une réservation annulée de votre part la veille et en attente de votre remboursement 80 dollars pour deux avec en plus l’entrée du parc à payer Bref à ne pas refaire

    Tour war gut, Guide Daniel war bemüht uns einige Tiere zu zeigen. Hat bei guten Bildern gerne unterstützt. Tour auf englisch war gut verständlich. Bitte vorher beachten, dass noch ein Eintritt für in den Wald zusätzlich fällig wird. Kostet zwar nochmals 26 Dollar pro Person aber man kann sich danach noch den Tag selber im Wald aufhalten. Sehr zu empfehlen, da die Tour eher kurz ist mit 1,5 Stunden und der Wald deutlich grösser.

    Meermaals de quetzal gezien, een aapje en vogelspin🤩 ook een gids met veel kennis van zaken, ik wist niet wat te verwa heen maar het was een leuke ervaring

    Het wordt allemaal erg slecht aangegeven, waar je moet parkeren, aanmelden en tickets kopen. Daarom waren wij ook wat later. Vervolgens werden we naar meerdere mensen gestuurd en bij de kassa liet ik mijn ticket zien van Viator waar op stond dat we een rondleiding met een gids hadden geboekt. Zij gaven aan dat dit ongeldig is omdat dit geen gidsen zijn van daar. Dus wij hadden voor bijna €50 tickets geboekt voor een gids maar kregen dus uiteindelijk helemaal geen gids!!!… Contact gehad met Viator en zij met de gids, kregen uiteindelijk maar helft van het geld terug terwijl wij er weinig aan konden doen. Erg slecht, duur grapje

    Unser Guide sprach sehr gut Englisch und hatte ein gutes Auge um Tiere zu entdecken. Er hat uns viel erklärt und wir haben viele Dinge von ihm gelernt und erfahren. Er war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und unsere Kinder hatten Spass mit ihm. Wir haben viele Tiere gesehen, Faultiere, Affen, Heuschrecken, Frösche, Spinnen, Vögel etc. Ein Highlight.
